Silver gave a slightly confused look to julien. "Don't take this personally....but I don't remember you...." She said with an apologetic look.

Julian shrugged it off. "No worries. You were a baby when I saw you last. Your father and I grew up together. And I'm guessing ol'bull head here never told you."

Julian shot a glance at Morgan who became very interested I'm the food in front of him.

"At the celebration of your birth, since neither this guy here or Andromeda had living relatives, I was named as your godfather."

"Hey, horseboy!" Morgan said. "eat your food."

"I do believe the fearless captain is afraid of the stories I could tell!" Julian exclaimed.

Before Silver could answer either Parker or Vogefac's question, Morgan came up and greeted them. Parker nodded his head to Morgan and let Silver have her moment with her family.

He turned to Vogefac and answered his question, "Well, since Silver's busy, I'll tell you. I was keeping tabs on the bar, making sure no one was hassling my friend Mike and Corliss. All of a sudden this vision walked into the bar," he nodded toward Silver, indicating her, "She wore a long cloak, and she had long dark blue hair, it was almost black; but what caught me, was her eyes. They were an amazing sapphire blue with this intense silver glow about them." Parker raised his eyebrows at the memory and darted his own gold hued dark green eyes, illustrating the signifigance of her eyes in relation to his.

"It was that moment that I knew... something. It was more than just attraction, it had to be. I was raised in the military. I've been around millions of women, and none of them struck me with any real emotion like she did. We talked about our lack of families, and troubled pasts... I don't know, we just bonded. She brought out all these emotions I thought I had discarded since I was 9 years old. She turned me from a military's death-machine, into a human being once more."

As he spoke, he stared both at and through Silver, lost in his memories of their time together. As he finished his story, he smiled at Silver, not really caring that he was staring at all. He looked down at the plates that the bartender brought and finished his answer, "So that's how we met; and how I knew that I love her."

Now, back in the moment, he turned to Gaz and said, "Gaz, I almost forgot. I need to take Thor out of your ship. He hasn't been too much trouble I hope? He can sometimes be a stick in the mud. Did he have any trouble following your orders while you were doing your jobs?"

Al looked to the cat-like creature that'd spoken to him and laughed. If he was at all surprised by Noah's speaking to him in her current form, it didn't show. "Tactician? Hardly. I'll never understand why you squishy beings all think it's necessary to learn to fight each other. I might be able to help somehow. It'd help if you guys knew more about what you're getting into." He shook his head at Sami, "I don't think Salem knows much about magic. I know I don't. Not like you're talking about, anyway." He nodded, "Alright, I'll be as quick as I can. Let me see if I can't get Salem to help you guys out." Without waiting for a response, he turned and jogged out the door and towards Salem's ship.

Salem climbed to his feet, shaking his head and his wrist. He was aching all over... but he'd flown! It had been far from professional. Or graceful. Heck, it'd barely been passable, but it was still flying.

He smiled at Mar, "Seems to me you're kinda walking in both worlds, here. A bit of immortal power in a mortal body. There's got to be some kind of advantage to being mortal, right?" He stretched as best as he could- his wrist was still throbbing. He walked over to the 'workbench' that was in the middle of the floor and began rifling through the junk sitting on it. "So... will I be able to do that without your help?" He closed his eyes, briefly, then opened them again. Either the sense was weaker without Mar's help, or it was gone entirely and he was just imagining it now.

At that moment, Al jogged up the ship's open ramp. "Hey, Mar. Hey, Salem. Guys, one of the bar's patrons was sucked into some kind of magic portal. Two people back there are looking for help. I told them I'd talk to you."

Salem's eyebrows shot up. This was... unusual, to say the least. "Who was taken? Who's asking?"

Al shook his head, "You don't know either group. Newcomers. But it sounds like they're in for more than they're ready for."

Salem's face now displayed a look of confusion, "They politically powerful? Or, like, technologically advanced enough for this to be worthwhile?"

Al shook his head again, lowered his voice, and stepped closer to Salem, "I thought you might be interested in making some more friends here."

Salem chuckled, "Friends are your department, dude, and you know it. You're way too sympathetic for an android. With my luck, one of these people is Rathien's lackey. Or another hunter sent here to kill me. If one can track me down, the rest can as well."

Al and Salem continued to argue, Al stepping closer to Salem and both of them lowering their voices until Mar would no longer be able to make out the words.

Jocun was heading back, wearing a protective vest and helmet, while carrying a dracon rifle strapped to his back. One again he looked like an Imperial, and his demeanor was serious. His subordinates didn't like the idea of him leaving somewhere, but there was little anyone could do about it. He had a communicator with him that would hopefully allow him to contact his ship from the other side.

Sami smiles at Al. "Any knowledge at all would help." She watched him jog off, eyes lowering to the ground until she heard footsteps, and looked up to see Jocun returning. She smiled, nodding her approval about his armor. She turned and started towards the tree and where Grun was. "Come on. Let us at least see what is going on." She didn't wait to see if anyone else was following. She walked towards the portal, but stopped about 15 feet away when she could feel it starting to pull her in. She took a few steps back, releasing herself from its gravitational pull. "No closer until we are ready to go."

Without further ado, Ewa stepped lightly back out of the doorway and made her way out of the ship.  Descending through the hatchway, she reached up and tapped a random pattern along the hull of the ship until it stretched out of her reach.

Once she had rounded the corner of the bar she saw a woman in a cloak with some kind of large cat near a twisty tree.  An older man uniformed for combat was walking towards them.  Ewa thought she might have seen him before.  Or at least the uniform.  She started to hum, idly, waiting for a song to stick in her head.

Arriving at the bar's entrance, Ewa opened the door and paused, blinking as her eyes adjusted.  She scanned the room for any familiar faces, but though the bar was as busy as it had been before, everyone she saw was new to her.  Crazy turnover in this place.  She ignored the possibly dark edge of that thought and turned to Catie.

"Anyone you know?"

~Rathien~

Rathien sighs as the two females leave.  He glances again at the mostly motionless form of Van.  "Why did you have to go brain-dead on me right when things were getting interesting?  Psh..."  He bends down to pick up the vial of Vivalite that Ewa had been manipulating and places it in a pocket of his armored tunic before giving Van one last glance and exiting the room, descending the ramp of the posh vessel.  He catches a glimpse of Ewa and the new female entering the bar.  He surveys the situation seeing random groups of people around the area.  He runs his tongue over both fangs before pulling out the ARC he'd liberated so long ago and scans for Tobias' technology readings.

He steps back up into Van's ship long enough to activate his active camouflage out of view, and then descends again heading off in the direction he believes will lead to Tobias' ship.

Noah listens to the footsteps of Al leaving and heard the footsteps of someone else coming closer who turned out to be Jocun. She turns her dreamy unfocusing eyes on Jocun as he comes closer subconsciously. It brought her attention back from her deep thoughts to focus on his outfit. She ****ed her head to the side and just watched him, eyeing the armor. Noah couldn't help but walk over to him to get a closer look. She had never seen armor like his, especially the design. She got within a foot of him and inched her face closer as she sniffed the armor trying to see what it was made out of. She almost pressed her nose against his stomach before she pulled back huffed through her nose and shook her head. She circled him getting a good look at it all then sat back in front of him for a moment.

Once she heard Sami's voice she snapped out of her curiosity and pulled herself back to what needed to be done. Noah ran over to Sami and brushed her head against her hand to get her attention. She tried to walk in front of her to talk, but felt an odd tug coming from the portal. She growled at it and bared her teeth then walked to Sami's side where it was very mild. She calmed then looked back at her.

"I need a moment of her time before we go. It is of great importance." She spoke with an edge of a growl still feeling like her skin wanted to be pulled off of her body from the portal.

Efaen takes the modified Shredder, inspecting it before slipping it into her empty holster. She is glad for the heft of the weapon; she has been without for far too long.

<Yes, my Prince,> she says, trying not to show offense when he states he would rather someone else complete the mission. <I will complete this mission, as well as the side missions you have detailed, with the utmost of care. I fully intend on utilizing this advantage to help bring about the destruction of the Empire. I will not harm that cause.>

She ducks her stalk eyes respectfully, keeping her tone even. <I thank you for allowing me this opportunity. It is a great honor. I will not disappoint you.>

Sami smiled as Noah pushed her head against her hand. She patted her gently, watching her as she tried to move in front of her, but didn't seem to like the tug of the portal either. She looked down at her as Noah sat by her side. "What is it you need, Noah?" She crouched beside her newfound friend, their green eyes meeting. Not in a hostile way, but Sami liked to make eye contact when talking.

Vogefac nodded as Parker explained.

"I am not an advocate of the human idea of  'love-at-first-sight.' However, I am glad you found the one who you feel you will be with for the rest of your life."

He took a nonchalant sip of his ale, "Parker, I must ask you: are you a great warrior like Artemis?"

Catie follows Ewa. When she asks if she knows anyone in the Bar, Catie looks into the bar.

"I don't know him, really, but I ran into that Reptilinod earlier. The yellow reptile with the horns and claws. Are we going?"

Jocun watched Noah warily as she came up to him and circled around. He didn't say anything, but just kept an eye on her. "I don't suppose we have a way to investigate the inside of the portal before just going through? Due to the pull, I'm hoping we'll be able to leave the same way we come."

Ewa looked back over at the person Catie had indicated.  "Violent looking fellow," she commented, offhand.  She stepped into the bar, holding the door open.  "After you, Lieutenant."
