Parker nodded with respect towards Vogefac's story. He relaxed his grip on his helmet. He rose an eyebrow at the mention of Vogefac's legs being "eaten", but otherwise kept an understanding expression. When Vogefac mentioned that the two of them were not so dissimilar, Parker said, "Vogefac, the only difference I see between us is you don't have to worry about being sunburnt." He smiles before continuing, "Besides, though I may not have claws, I do have some very impressive blades."

Parker doesn't show any of his weapons to illustrate his comment; but on his chest lays a field knife, and the katana crossing his back is easily visible as well. Though neither of these are the blades he speaks of, anyone listening would surely assume those were the blades to which he was referring.

While listening to Silver's conversation, he was suprised to hear that Morgan had always been a Minotaur. There could only be one of two explanations: either Morgan had been grossly altered, psychologically, or Julian had. His eyes flash to the threesone standing by the table with sharp interest, listening further.

Sami shivered as Noah's energy and power flowed into her, touching everything it crossed paths with s it searched for her inner life force. Sami could feel Noah tugging it out, and resisted the urge quite well to pull it back in. Soon, her hand felt like it was on fire, making her want to gasp out in pain and pull it away, but she didn't/ She knew the contact was crucial. Once Noah was donw, she hugged her hand to her chest as the pain subsided. She smiled and nodded as Noah hugged her and Jocun, not even noticing that she had been naked a few moments before. Sami herself forgot she was wearing a cloak when she whipped around, exposing the profile of her nude form before the cloak fell back over it. "Al said he was getting a friend of his to join us, so as soon as he gets here, Grun can take us through."

Noah nods to both of them when they spoke unable to stop from smiling.

"Alright, then that gives me just enough time to go clean up and get back." Before anyone could respond she ran faster than humanly possible past them and into the bar. The door crashed opened and banged against the wall with a deafening sound. She dashed into the woman's bathroom and finally stopped a little dizzy. She couldn't help but start laughing not caring if the bar patrons over heard. When she finally stopped she stared into the mirror wide eyed shocked by how extensive the blood cover was. It was caked over her right eye and down the right side of her face. There were splotches randomly all over her neck down to her collar bone. Her auburn hair was matted and redder than usual from the dried blood.

Noah turned on the water faucet and cupped her hands beneath it letting the water run over her blood stained hands. She scrubbed her hands until they were clean then splashed her face with water. She used soap and eased the dry flecks off of her face until they moistened and came clean. She doused her hair with water and scrubbed until the water ran clear. Noah slicked it back into a pony tail letting a few strands stay free. She walked out of the bathroom and glanced over the crowd in the bar not recognizing any of them. Some were creatures she'd never seen before. Noah slipped on her sun glasses and walked out of the bar back to Sami and Jocun hoping she was fast enough.

Grun had dozed off when Sami and a few others had come near the portal, however upon hearing his name he slowly woke up. He had his back turned to the group so he did not see Noah leave. When Grun turned around he immediately saw Sami and flapped over to land on her right shoulder. He gave the strange man a challenging caw, as if to say 'Stay away'.

After his challenge had been delivered, Grun began nuzzling Sami's neck for comfort. He looked at the portal and cawed in a very quiet and somber tone. It almost sounded as if Grun was crying as he continued to nuzzle Samis neck.

Ewa was nearly bowled over as someone sped past Catie into the bar.  She pressed her body back towards the wall and inhaled sharply.  Although there hadn't been time to get a look at whatever it was, s/he/it left a scent of blood in its wake.

Frowning back towards the bathrooms where the person had disappeared, Ewa tugged her coat straight and rested her fingers near the knife strapped to her wrist.  "Was whoever that was injured?" she asked.

She turned her head sharply to see if the person had been pursued, but there was no one new in sight, and no one heading towards the bar.  When she returned her attention to the bar, a young woman with wet, reddish hair was coming out of the bathrooms.  Ewa watched her as she put on sunglasses and strode back out the door without even a glance at her or Catie.

"Terrible attitude problem," Ewa commented, her lip curling slightly.  "Come on, let's get inside before something like that happens again."  She motions for Catie to move ahead.

Catie is all but knocked on her butt by the person who runs past them. After she exits again, Catie silently agrees with Ewa and walks in. She sits down at a table and orders a Root Beer and Cansrian Yaat steak.

Vogefac attempts a smile. The corners of his mouth turn up just a millimeter, and then go back down.

Parker seems to shift his focus to Artemis and her friends, but Vogefac isn't finished...

Claxter had been silently enjoying his drink, lazily scanning the bar with his stalk eyes when he saw a woman come streaking past, covered in blood and giggling. He wasn't sure if he should investigate that or just chalk it up to the strangeness of the bar.

Jocun got up, and noticed the bird fly to Sami and start cawing angrily at him. "Seems someone is playing favorites. I'd give a peace offering, but I don't have any food on me."

Silver looked at the picture then at Morgan and Julien. "I'm confused..." She said softly. "If father had always been this way then what was it the CG were trying to accomplish?" She asked. She couldn't take standing anymore and had to sit down but she didn't eat yet.

"Julian, explain this," Morgan said in a tone that left no room for questions.

"I had heard stories, but I never believed them because there was no proof. One time I was in this tavern and there was a CG worker about as drunk as anything. He was upset about some kind of psych experiment, mental conditioning or whatever. If you were taken...that must have been what they did."

"Do you know why they picked me?"

Julian sighed. "There are a lot of anti-myth sentiment around. Myths being what some call people like us. When I heard what happened to your home I knew it mist have been an anti-myth group. By the time I got there you were gone and officials wouldn't talk to me."

Gaz had been quiet the the whole time. "I'm going to message Asda. I wonder if there's anything about this in the files we swiped from the database. She can send them to my computer pad."

Mar watches Salem wander the area with some interest, confused about whatever the trader was doing. The Highest crosses his arms, rolling his eyes. The man was far too busy, and he seemed to have quickly forgotten something fairly important. Even with the headache roiling through his head, Mar could tell when he was owed something. His lips curled into a frown. "Dear Salem...I require payment for my service. The rock you promised me. It may be more..urgh...diffic ult without a direct line to me...it...but you should still be able to see it now."

Quite abruptly the annoying robot blurts something out to him. Mar snarls. "Do you get some kind of perverse pleasure out of irritating people? My head is reeling."

Sami smiled when Grun landed on her shoulder, and she petted his wing softly. She laughed softly at Jocun. "I am probably the only person on this asteroid that he knows. He hardly knows Noah." She continued petting Grun as Noah returned, turning towards the portal. "This may be all we have... I was hoping Al and his friend could come, but it seems they may have gotten caught up with something else."

Noah looked around to see if they had come back sad to see that they were no where in site. She brought her eyes back toward the portal as it gave off an ominous blue glow. She took a deep breath and stepped a foot in front of them.

"I'm ready when you both are." She was truly terrified and her heart fluttered with it, but she knew someone's Love was on the line and she couldn't let sorrow take hold of Sami, not if should could help it. Noah realized she didn't truly know Sami, but was still willing to throw her life down on the line even though the odds were against them. She didn't know why she was, but knew deep down that the look they shared played a big part with her. Part of her was even jealous that Sami was so lucky.

Salem turned back to Mar, "Of course, Highest. Least I can do." He walked over to the bin in which he kept most of his All-materials, opened it... and stopped, his heart jumping into his throat. There, inside, he could definitely 'see' the tendrils. They seemed to curl inside and through themselves, being absorbed and twisted and violently warped as they passed near and through the stones contained within. Even with his sense for them as weak as it was, he could tell that these materials were not normal.

He shook his head, trying to focus on what was in the bin visually. After a few seconds, he reached in, grabbed a shiny gun-metal grey stone about the size of his fist, and closed the bin. He looked away and closed his eyes. He couldn't even begin to make sense of the mess in there at the moment. The stone in his hand, though... when a tendril passed it, it seemed to be sucked inside. It was strange... Salem could barely see the things, but when they got close to the Allstone, it was as though they became excited and concentrated. He could definitely see them then, and trace them from that point. Aside from that, the stone itself seemed to be constantly exuding the darkness... or whatever it was... that the tendrils themselves were made of. With his eyes closed, it appeared as a spot of darkness... oddly enough, however, it also emitted bits of 'light' that felt similar to his 'soul' that he'd had to find.

Al, in the meantime, seemed oblivious to Salem's apparent disorientation. He shrugged at Mar, "Sorry, didn't realize you weren't feeling well. Would you like anything? Cerebral mending tablets? Ocular juice upgrade? Aspirin?"

After a few moments of standing, mesmerized by the strange sense the thing was giving him, Salem shook his head and stepped over to Mar. He held the stone out to him, "Least I can do. Thank you, Highest."
