I've been to the Books-A-Million here in my town and the Barnes & Noble in Atlanta (at the Perimeter Mall) and it seems like it is quite popular. Always the latest book has the fewest there. Always like one or two of #5. I see it as a good sign.

I got the re-release of #6 in the mail the other day, and finally had a chance to look through it.

It's official, Rachel is still Xena!

Some changes are noticeable without line-by-line. Marco saying "This is perilous stuff!" is out of character. Not that "This is radical stuff!" was really in character for Marco I don't think but "perilous"? Even though I wouldn't doubt he knew what it meant, I don't think he'd actually use it really.

But yeah, the changes are innocuous. Sometimes I see a grammar error catching over to both books which gets irritating (simply because I want them to do well!), like a misplaced thought-speak mark or whatever.

I'm currently reading the #5 reprint and laughed when Ax bought the coffee.  The price was a little higher than what it was back in 1996.   ;D

I'm curious how far this relaunch will go.  I seriously doubt they will get through all 54 books and the spinoffs.  My guess is that, at best, it will go up to #15 or so, and then they will say something like "learn how it ends" and link to the website, where there is a summary of the rest of the books.  I doubt it will just randomly end at #8, but who knows.

I think if they go that route, they should at least go up to the David Trilogy. Or maybe up to book 23, since that kind of concludes the whole Tobias and Elfangor plotline. Hopefully they'll be able to go through the whole series, though.

I really hope they put in an addendum that actually shows Tobias revealing it to Ax/the others.  I'll be really disappointed if they don't.
