"Quit shouting. you're gonna make my headache explode" Michael shouted over the noise.

((For those who remain on the ground, just remember...there is such a thing as a comm link, AND a tracking device...x3 Don't want to leave anyone out!))

Myitt glanced back briefly, squinting at the hatchway.  "Corliss?" she called gratingly.

"Yeah, we're good mate, get us out of here!" Corliss yelled back, trying to restrain the shocked and terrified Aurora with Michael's help.

"Finally," Myitt scowled, lifting the ship a bit higher to escape the now merciless barrage of handheld Dracon fire.

An overhead intercom began speaking in a foreign language, and the cabin lights flickered from white to red and back again.

"Ok, that's gonna get real annoying, real quick," Tia mumbled, commenting about the lights. She fired another warning shot to try and disuade those firing at them.

Once in the fighter Aurora stopped screaming and became incredibly silent. She looked around frantically, pressing herself back against the wall. "Where are we going?" She asked sharply, her voice significantly higher pitched than normal.

"I don't care right now. Anywhere is better than here." Michael said. He laid against the opposite wall. He was tired. He must've dozed off some time. When he woke up it was day time

((This does not mean the next post has to be during the day time, you guys could do something while michael is sleeping))

"Someplace safe," Corliss said, patting Aurora on the shoulder.  "Come on, love, it's gonna be alright.  It takes a lot out of you, I know."  Somehow...it seems as though it was the human Mike Leicester speaking, not the Yeerk called Corliss...but it's impossible to tell the difference...just a feeling...maybe a slight deepening of the accent...

Below them, a good chunk of The Sharing building lay in smoldering ruin from stray cannon fire.  There wouldn't be any meetings there anytime soon...but knowing the Yeerks, they were all too likely to regroup and start again...

Almost worse than that were the police cars pulling in, sirens blaring...people in the surrounding commercial district, few as there were, had come out to see what all the noise was about.  Mostly drunk college kids and disbelieving late nighters, but still...some of them had seen a spaceship, and people firing lasers outside The Sharing.

As they moved higher up above the town, the hatch melted closed--simply melted into the surrounding metal as if it had never been there.  The little ship was pretty cramped with Myitt, Corliss, Aurora, Michael and Tia/Norpo on board, but ringed around the cabin walls were three spare tan colored metal seats with no visible seatbelts or anything like that.  At the back wall of the cabin were two doors, or what looked like some kind of doors, both unmarked.

Corliss went into one of these doors and came out with a rolled up sort of futon, dirty and scraped up but functional.  He set it on the floor of the cabin and helped Michael onto it after Michael had fallen asleep.  "He's got the right idea," Corliss mumbled.

"Everyone alright?" the pilot, Myitt, said after a moment, still at the controls.  "Yeah?  Good, sit down or otherwise hang on to something.  Let's make sure we stay alright..." The Bug fighter began to rocket away into the night sky.

Aurora does not move from her position on the wall, but continues shaking like a leaf for some time. After awhile her muscles slowly begin to unclench and a wave of exhaustion hits her. Against her will her head begins to fall forward. Slowly she fades into unconsciousness.

((Seems we're aiming for a fade to morning kind of thing...it's going to be in a clearing in the forest outside of town.  Just waiting to see if anyone else wants to talk to anyone else beforehand.  As soon as the Yeerks briefly discuss this random new Yeerk in their midst, we'll go to the next day.  Sound okay?))

Corliss sighed.  "Looks like that took everything out of them," he said, jerking a thumb back at the two dozing humans.

"They should get some rest," Myitt said flatly, gazing out the main viewscreens as the ship cruised along.  "They're going to need it."  She looked over at Tia/Norpo.  "So what's your story?  Peace Movement?  Decided you had a little too much of playing war games that ended up going nowhere?  Wanted to throw your life away and let me guess, you have a serious death wish?"  Myitt smiled brightly.  "Of course, assuming we should even trust you."

"She helped the humans escape, you know," Corliss interjected.  "Unless she's just trying to follow us, disarm us all singlehandedly."  He was pacing around Tia, wondering...

"Backstory depends on who you're asking," Norpo said with a slight grin. "Me, I joined the Movement because my sister bugged me into attending a meeting. I never went back."
Tia rubbed her eyes, before saying, "I joined because I've got nothing to loose. I guess you could call it a serious death wish. Or, like Mike said, I could just be trying to disarm you single-handedly by gaining your trust. But if that's true, you'll never know until it's too late." She yawned, streaching in the chair. "You want me to move before I fall out or what?"

Myitt watched her, back against the control panel, arms crossed.  She smiled as Tia and Norpo explained themselves.

"I think she can stay," she said, nodding.  "Corliss, watch her.  Take the first shift, okay?  I'm wiped."

"She's in my chair," Corliss replied dryly.

"Good, you know where she is then.  G'night."  Myitt yawned and scrunched down in the pilot seat, hands folded on her stomach, and tried to get some rest.

It took a few hours to get where they were going, flying slow and in atmosphere, taking their time.  By the time morning came, they were far from California, regardless of what Myitt had said about the state forest.  The sun came up over the Rocky Mountains, with the little ship parked on a broad, flat plain caked with white.  Some kind of salt flat?  It's almost an alien landscape...

((I'm still trying to figure out what I should do with Denise lol...I suppose she and Illrid could always interact since they're both still at the Sharing...I left a tag awhile ago for Will/Madat but apparently he's not gonna be taking it anytime soon...maybe never...sooooo...))

Figuring the boy wasn't much help, Denise continued sprinting on down the halls of The Sharing, shouting for help. It wasn't long before people heard her and rushed outside to deal with the conflict. But judging from her position inside the building, the conflict had gotten waaay out of control.

Denise could feel the very building itself shake and vibrate from the ship and it's dracon canons. The halls inside seemed to be bathed in a faint red light of some sort.

Unsure of how safe it would be to make a run for her car parked outside, Denise arbitrarily darted into the nearest room, which appeared to be an office of some sort, and hunkered down beneath a desk. Though she knew she wouldn't be 100% safe if something serious happened to the building, at least she had more of a chance against falling debris and protection if the roof ended up collapsing or caving in.

((Meh kinda crappy post...but i needed to do something))

((The person writing the post knows, so it's okay, it's not as though Denise herself said they were Dracons.  Hey, now we're doing a very convoluted two time zones at the same time thing (morning for us, still night for the other guys x3)...it's very Doctor Who...and they will eventually come back to that spot, I think to look for any humans who might've seen them.  Hint, hint...))
