Jade looked up surprised. "No, no, no. Of course not!" she said blushing brighter. She took his hand into hers. She looked into his eyes her blush gone. "I've never been uncomfortable around you, Lucan..."

Lucan looked at Jade with his bright green eyes and smiled. Outside in the sunlight the silver stripe on his face shined bright, making it look almost white against his dark blue skin. "I am glad for that Jade and I am also glad to see you once again after all of these years. May I ask what you have been doing these past five years? I promise to tell you what has happened to me as well as to the reason of this." Lucan said in his watery, soft voice as he pointed to his silvery white face stripe.

Corliss grips the metal edge of the pool, looking down at the murky gray water.

<<Are you sure you want to do this?>> Mike asks.

The Yeerk laughs quietly, a small smile crossing Mike's face.  <<Are you sure you want to go back to that bloody bar?>>

Mike sighs.  <<Just...keep her in a good mood, will ya?>>

<<'Course I will,>> Corliss replies, leaning Mike's body over the edge of the pool and tilting his head to the side.  His expression dulls as Corliss slithers and squirms out of his head, slowly releasing control back to Mike.

In a few moments Corliss slips under the warm surface of the pool, glad to be able to stretch.  Curiously he fires a few sonar clicks, searching for Terenia.

Mike stands up and wipes at his ear with the back of his sleeve, wincing.  He frowns down at the pool.

"Have fun," he says coyly, rolling up his sleeves as he steps back into the cabin.

Efaen's stalk eye swivels at the sound of human footsteps approaching. She recognizes Serid; an identity that is confirmed a few moments later through thought-speak.

<Hello, Warrior,> she responds stiffly. She still isn't entirely sure that she trusts the nothlit. The fact that he spent so much time as a host to Illim makes her uneasy, the irony of the situation failing to occur to her.

Terenia's small Yeerk form picks up the current changes as Corliss enters the small Yeerk Pool. She pauses in her aimless swimming through the murky water, allowing him to locate her.

<<Great, so now I'm stuck with you,>> she mutters in thought-speak that excludes Mike. She is clearly still irritated and, on top of that, the topic of conversation has left her feeling flustered.

<<Weird place, huh?>> Illim murmurs to Derrel as they survey the room's occupants. <<Even for a Yeerk, this is a weird place,>> he smirks internally.

Growing bored, he ponders calling Myitt again to let her know he really would be coming to the rebellion soon. Considering the grouchy reception he received the last time, though, he decides against it for now. So what now? he thinks. Remaining passive inside a host is already making him nearly as restless as being in a Pool. Oh well--think of it as practice for quarantine.

Serid gives Efaen a nod that is still respectful while being a bit on the shallow side. <Are your plans still underway, my Prince?> he asks, shifting his focus to Ossanlin. The plans to which he refers--those including Terenia and Efaen, and eventually himself--are evident by the hopeful gleam in his dark eyes.

Corliss swims idly over to Terenia, waving his palps in the Yeerkish equivalent of a shrug.

<<Good to know you're so pleased,>> he says dryly.

Mike gives the cabin a last glance before stepping down the ramp of the Skimmer, sealing the ship up securely behind him.  He stuffs his hands in his black uniform pockets and trudges off towards the bar, feeling strangely empty and conflicted.  Perhaps a drink would do him good.

Yeah, he thinks bitterly to himself, if the barkeep has a proper pint.

"I will assist you, Artemis.", Vogefac said.

Then he cringed, "That is if you will allow it. My physical strength is superior to anyone in this bar I am sure. You would not fall if I assisted you, you have my word."

Salem briefly tensed up when Rathien's arm went around his shoulder, but as soon as he realized that he wasn't being attacked, he relaxed a bit, putting his arm around the hunter in turn. He was tempted to try to put the Ildari in a chokehold from this position, but physically, he was pretty sure he was not going to come out ahead.

He listened, curiously, as Mar spoke about 'killing a person who wasn't dreaming at all.' The being had to be talking about himself.

"You're one of the more interesting hunters I've met," he said with a grin to Rathien. "You speak of your fate and your little dream ending thing. I'm with him," he said with a nod towards Mar. "It won't end well for you."

Al nodded towards Rathien, "Good to see you again," he said, stone-faced.

The grin disappeared from Salem's face. He moved away from Rathien's arm and looked him in the eye, "What do you want, Ildari?"

Claxter gave the bartender some money, and he left to go get the stuff. He came back a little later with everything she asked, and Claxter wasn't sure but it looked slightly better than what the patrons usually got. He did a good job of removing all the scales, and the baked potato wasn't too hard from overcooking. Still, his expression remained stony as ever and he went back to polishing dirty cups.

<So is there anything you enjoy doing, Candice? Hopefully your life isn't always filled with pain and fear.>

Candice's jaw dropped when the food came out for it looked more delicious than she had ever seen it. Mind you, she never saw it on her own plate unless it was left overs of some kind. Before she got a chance to answer Claxter's question, she had picked up the fish and taken two large bites out of it, not even bothering to check for bones. She wiped her mouth with the back of her hand, not having excellent table manners, especially when she is hungry. She didn't look at him when she spoke for fear of his reaction.

"I love to sing, but I am forbidden to. I like to dance, but I've had no teacher. I like to fly and sit on the beach lost in thought. All of the things I love, the people in my life have tried to rid me of." She gave many other examples after singing so he hopefully wouldn't focus on it. Then she went back to munching on her fish until it was down to just the spine. Once that was gone, she popped the vegetables in her mouth one by one until they were gone as well. Candice stopped abruptly with wide eyes and immediately turned to Claxter and did the best bow she could in the stool.

"Thank you for paying for this delicious meal." She turned to the bartender and repeated herself to him too flushing mildly from having forgot, still subconsciously expecting to be punished.

<Wel,, I'm no dancer. Maybe someone could teach you how to dance. there's also a lake nearby to relax at, though I haven't noticed if the shore is very sandy. There's also a lot of room to fly around, and be alone if you want privacy. I also really doubt there's a rule against singing here either. We even have a piano, though I haven't seen anyone play it.>

<You're welcome for the meal. It seems you really enjoyed it.>

<<You're telling me. I can't imagine it getting weirder than this, but I'll probably be proven wrong sooner or later.>> Derrel said.

Parker held up his hand to Vogefac, "It's okay, I got her." He put his arm around her back in a sort of half hug. He lifted her enough, that she could take steps on her own, but not feel any of her weight as she walked. As she requested to go outside, he began guiding her through the bar.

He looked back at Vogefac as they went and added, "Thank you though." He gave him a courteous nod before turning his his head away to watch where they were going. He had hoped that the gratuitous nod would also be observed as a courteous dismissal; but he wouldn't be surprised if Vogefac ended up following along.

He looked down to Silver and asked, "So where would you like to go? The lake again?"

Candice ate the potato insides and left the skin on the plate. She turned to Claxter and addressed what he said.

"I do not know what this 'piano' is that you speak of, but I will not sing, not near men's ears. Though flying does sound nice, especially around a lake. That would be wonderful." Her eyes went dreamy and her tone followed sounding more ethereal and alluring than any time yet. She parted her lips in a small smile as she saw herself soaring over the lake in her mind's eye.

Claxter didn't know why she didn't want to sing in front of men, but he didn't prod her. <Alright. I'll show you the lake.> He said, and turned to walk out the door. He made his way to the front door, keeping his stalk eyes on her. He just couldn't stop looking at her, but she was so beautiful. Even though she didn't look anything like an Andalite.

She nodded and slipped off the stool and followed after him, being a little uncomfortable with two of his eyes turned around just to watch her. She looked down to avoid the gaze and just followed after him. She was extremely surprised that he didn't question her about the singing. Most people would have. Candice started to ponder why he was being so nice to her. Was it a ploy, was he leading her to this lake to take advantage of her? Was he going to kill her? So many thoughts and more swam around her mind, but still she followed. He was a man, and she always would have a weapon over men. So many never realized until it was far too late.

As Claxter walked across the field, having some grass, his stalk eyes started scanning like usual. Maybe because on the way Candice wasn't looking at him or talking. As he got closer, he noticed a trail. It seemed Ossanlin and efaen were nearby.

<It appears That a couple other Andalites are nearby. My superior officer, and a friend of mine. I'm in the military, by the way, so I have a superior officer to answer to from time to time.>

Finally the reached the lake. <Here we are. nice place, huh?>
