<I believe I have sufficient supplies for the time being,> Efaen says, grateful that the tension between herself and her Prince seems to have passed. <Warrior Claxter graciously offered me the use of one of his Shredders, and I have Terenia's comm link still. I believe it can pick up Andalite transmissions, despite its Imperial origins.>
She notices Serid and Claxter emerging from the bar and shifts her hind legs, almost as eager to stay away from them as they are her. <Thank you for your help, my Prince,> Efaen says quickly, bowing her stalk eyes and lowering her tail respectfully. She turns, then, and makes her way towards Claxter.
<Warrior Claxter,> she says, a little too stiffly. <Did you happen to note where the Yeerk Corliss went?>
<It seems that the human was right about this Yeerk,> Zorish mutters to Tamora. <He appears to be quite volatile himself.>
<I don't like him,> Tamora says nervously. <What if he shoots us?>
<I do not think that he will,> Zorish says, although he has nothing to base this assumption on besides his gut feeling. <Ah well, we won't get anywhere standing here glaring at one another. Time to gamble.> Fixing Corliss with a stiff smile he reaches down to his Dracon with his right hand, holding his left up in a 'surrender' position.
"I am not going to shoot," he says, slowly pulling the weapon from its home. He turns it around in his hand, offering it to Corliss butt end first.
<What are you doing!?> Tamora screeches, loudly enough to make Zorish flinch slightly.
"There," he says calmly. "I am clearly no threat to you. I am offering you my weapon; I have no guards. Sub-Visser I may be in name, but here on this rock? So far from the Empire? I am just another Yeerk." He lets the weapon dangle from his fingers, waiting to see if Corliss will accept the offering.
"As for my interest in your brother...well, put yourself in my situation. If you discovered that you had died when you were clearly not dead, would it not pique your own interest? Wouldn't you want to uncover the truth of the situation? I cannot change what has already happened, but if the humans are correct and this is a meeting of time lines, perhaps I can prevent a similar situation from occurring in my time. Forgive me for holding my own life in high regard."
