I'm really curious what will happen with The Reaction if they get that far. They'll probably have to make a bigger change since the Jonathan Taylor Thomas/Home Improvement thing won't be recognizable these days.

There's no reason to change that one in particular- they never mentioned Johnathan Taylor Thomas or Home Improvement. It was the already-generic Jeremy Jason McCole. Honestly, he could still stand in for any girl teen fantasy of today. Like... Justin Bieber. Girls like him, right? The things that might need to change are the references to Ahnold, for example, or Scully and Mulder- how many teens of today are going to have even heard of the X-Files?

HAH! They're re-doing pop culture references and stuff!? :D Awesome! I hadn't looked into it that far.

I wanna see what they do to "The Warning (#16)" :D That one is amazingly dated at the moment.


I gotta know, did they justify none of the kids having a camera phone in the first book or did they just handwave it? ;)

That said, they're gonna have to update the hell out of The Warning. That one's more dated than any other one I can think of.

Heh, yeah, it is, with all the old computer stuff from back then LOL.

Why do you think they neutralized rather than updating it to be set today? Too big and involved to deal with since a lot would need rewriting?

It's wikipedia, most likely from a southern area of their anatomy that doesn't get much sun. ;)

Unless they list a source, I don't put much stock in wikipedia.

I all seriousness, they saw how popular it still was, and decided to see if it could be a hit with the next generation as well. And there's a good chance that if the rerelease does well, we might get a sequel.
