Agreed! the original Jake looked way cooler than MM4 version or #54 version. Even cooler than Shawn Ashmore LOL.
What was wrong with him on MM4? That looked like the original guy to me, though with shadows....

But yes, the new guy on #54 sucks, I was very annoyed..... >:(

In my opinion, Megamorphs #3 was the best book for the cover models. It had the right Jake, Marco, Cassie, Rachel, and the cardboard Ax. Tobias, had another new model on it, but it doesn't really matter to me. I liked Tobias the best for #3. I never actually pictured him with blond hair.  :-\

My favourite Rachels are #32 (perfect smug-face) and #54 (almost angelic).
The universe is, instant by instant, re-created anew. There is, in truth, no Past, only a memory of the Past. Blink your eyes, and the world you see next did not exist when you closed them. The only appropriate state of the mind is surprise. The only appropriate state of the heart is joy. The sky you see now, you have never seen before. The perfect moment is now. Be glad of it.

I thought that out of the 6, the original Cassie, Jake, and Rachel fit their descriptions best.

I went to the window and looked up at the stars. Somewhere up there, around one of those
cold, twinkling stars, was the Andalite home world. Somewhere up there was . . . hope.

<They'll come,> Tobias said. <The Andalites will come. And until then . . . >

I nodded and wiped away my tears. "Yeah," I said. "Until then, we fight."

If by original, you mean the first 6 books of each Animorph and Ax, then I agree, except for the Ax part. I love the way he looked so retarded....  ;D

I pictured him with dirty blond hair. I didn't really pay any attention to his model, just how he was described. ..But I didn't really pay attention to the description for a long time.

actually, earlier in the series he was described as blond, then later changed to dirty blond, then blond again.. confusing, huh?

Yeah, that was confusing...But, when I first pictured him, he had dirty blond hair...plus he was a hawk for a lot of it, so he was mostly a bird.

That was the original Cassie. She stayed the same throughout the series. But i liked that original Rachel, the one from #12 and The Solution #22

I thought the Jake on the first cover was probably the worst. He looked best in MM4 and. The one on The Resistance looked pretty chunky to me, no offense.

Cassie: None of the books. I don't like how her cover model looks it's one thing to have short hair but she really looked like a boy on some covers. I always pictured Cassie with braids

Wow, lol. She did have braids. well, at least i know #19 did. I thought she always looked like a girl. Maybe its just me...

She did pretty much look like a girl. I don't think I could mistake her for a guy.

This is how I pictured them.

Jake: #1 and #11
Marco: #20 and #35
Cassie: #9 and #29
Rachel: #17 and #22
Tobias: #43 and #49
Ax: Ax? He's an Andalite. He always looked the same to me.
