The Animorph cover models
« on: July 05, 2008, 10:04:27 PM »
Now which of the cover models best match your visual descprition of the Animorphs? Or which ones were your favorite?

I have to exclued Cassie's single model because she stayed throughout the series, but she was fine.

Jake's model didn't change for a long time, though he must have droped out at the end, because the boy who I guess is Jake on the inside cover of the final book doesn't even come close to the first model. I found his first model to be a double of this guy I knew when I first started reading the series.

Marco's second model was I thought was better then the first one with the long hair.

The harder choice is from the many of Rachel models. I find my favorite to be the model on the cover of Megamorphs 3 Elfangor's secret.

Lastly, I found that Tobais was miss cast the most of all the models until the cover of Megamorphs 4 Back to Before, spot on. Well better late then never.

Yea Tobias was always changing.. The blonde one is how I imagine him though

and Marco the second one, not the third one... book 35 is a good example i think for what i imagine him to look like

The last book, all the animorphs looked different, i totally wasnt happy about that..

I thought the first book they appeared in (book 1, book 2, book 3, book 4, and book 5) were the best.

I always pictures Jake how he always looks on the cover of the first book

Tobias: the blond haired version
Marco: The book where they turn into polar bears
Rachel: Book 12
Cassie: None of the books. I don't like how her cover model looks it's one thing to have short hair but she really looked like a boy on some covers. I always pictured Cassie with braids
Ax: all the books that he narrates

Well...Ax doesn't really change...

Jake...His first cover model.
Rachel...She had fifty...I don't know. I think 12 seemed the most fitting though...
Marco...25
Tobias was definitely the one on MM4.
There's a method to my madness, I just haven't figured it out yet.

I have had a long-standing crush on the original Jake model (as Jake, not the actual person).

The universe is, instant by instant, re-created anew. There is, in truth, no Past, only a memory of the Past. Blink your eyes, and the world you see next did not exist when you closed them. The only appropriate state of the mind is surprise. The only appropriate state of the heart is joy. The sky you see now, you have never seen before. The perfect moment is now. Be glad of it.

Jake: Book 1
Tobias: Book 3 (don't know why, but I can almost never picture him as a blond)
Cassie: Book 9
Marco: Book 5-his hair is short in one book in my mind, only because they made fun of it a lot
Ax none of them, his tail is always too short, and they give him such weird stalk eyes
Rachel: I think 22 was the most like her as I envisioned but too dark of features on the eyes and brow: How hard would it be to slap a pair of blue eyes on her?!
Something, something, oh crap I pissed everyone off again....

I like short haired Marco better than long haired. I do wish Cassie looked more like a girl.

I haven't really kept track of the models. I just have a mental picture of what they look like in my head, and use that.

I'm not sure why Rachel and Tobias seem to change all the time. I don't mind it too much for Tobias, though, because I tend to picture him as a bird anyway.

His red tail is undeniably his normal form now, because Loren was able to aquire and morph him.

Jake: The one at the 26 or 11 fit nicely.
Cassie: I dunno, the cover people looked the same, probably just the same persons... :)
Marco: Short haired Marco looked better, agree with you people.
Ax: His tail was supposed to be short at first, since he was just a young Andalite. He even noted that fact in the battle against the Visser.
Rachel: My favorite was the one at Megamorphs 4... :)
Tobias: I liked the blond version, the one at MM4. Dirty blond Tobias seemed too tough for the early Tobias.

Hey, why not? He's hawt! ;)

But yeah, I think Jake's original model (the one for pretty much the entire series!) is exactly how i picture the character, and matches the description perfectly.  I think he looks best on #11 or on Megamorphs #3: Elfangor's secret! Cassie matches nicely as well....as for Tobias, I kind of think he looks better with dark hair, even if in the books he's blond, lol--what can I say, I was too influenced by the cover, and then he was so rarely in human form anyway I forgot he was blond....

Agreed! the original Jake looked way cooler than MM4 version or #54 version. Even cooler than Shawn Ashmore LOL.
The blond Tobias looked best in MM4, he's actually taller than Rachel! Not taller than Jake though....
Human Ax looked kinda... i dunno... retarded... though... Looked both female and male... LOL....
