Why the animorphs tv show sucked so much

I remember that episode where Visser three hacked through a door, then rushed out in Human morph. I mean for God's sake, what do you plan to do to them in that? And the need for Kandrona is supposed to be the biggest weakness of the yeerks. That's their Achilles heel, for crying out loud.

Though I didn't actually see those episodes, so I don't have much alse to say about that.

I already mentioned the Yeerk-in-phone thing, right? If they tried that in the books, the first person would just yank the thing out and freak. Infestation is not instentaneous.

haha i find it so weird that i loved the show so much as a kid, even though i noticed all the difference back then...i guess i was just too excited to have animorphs on tv that i turned a blind eye to the bad things lol

i do remember hating the andalites so much..those puppets or whatever, they looked so awkward or clunky...compared to how graceful they're supposed to be lol

I loved it at first too, because I was wild about Animorphs. But it just didn't hold my attention. After a few episodes I would rather do the supper cruise with my family, which is what we did during summer on Friday nights at the cabin we went to on the weekends. It wasn't worth sacrificing the supper cruise on the pontoon boat.

I didn't have cable when the TV show was aired. I couldn't get past the 3rd episode. The moment V3 took 5 minutes to hack through a metal door in Andalite form and then morphed to human to run after the Animorphs, and when the Animorphs morphed BUTTERFLIES to escape; and V3 just stared at the BUTTERFLIES and screamed, "Noooo!" instead of frying them with a dracon.

That scene. After that scene. I deleted every Ani episode I downloaded and swore off the TV series.

that butterfly scene is one of the moments that is like burned into my memory haha

i remember being a little kid and still laughing at how long it took Visser Three to cut down the door and then him stepping out as a human

I hated that fact that in one episode, the Ellimist came and Tobias was back in human form and Rachel was like "Tobias....." and everyone acted like "So anyways..." lol I was like dude, WTF, that's your friend!

I think the show would have been better of as an animated show back in those days. They already knew they budget was low. If it was animated they could have done more. The actors could have been the same . i mean they could be voice actors. Plus teh Andalites and teh other aliens would have looked a lot better. no puppets

The things that got me the most:

*As stated, Ax and Visser 3 in human form a lot more than their own form.
*Ax was a lot more comical than he should have been.
*Were the andalites wearing angora sweaters?
*Andalite arm wrestling. It looked more like a playground fight than a battle to the death for the sake of honor.

Yeah, the actors did an alright job of acting, but their Tobias was WAY to esoteric. When he was part of the group, he was a lot more open. Sure he was still shut in, but he was more open with them than anyone. He was never ashamed to morph in front of the others, and when they first met, they already knew each other.

The TV show completely re-wrote Tobias's character, it pissed me off so much because I liked Tobias the most. Then Nickelodian ****ed his character up.
