if you guys want to discuss the time limitations of stuff in Animorphs, please make a thread for it. Here is to talk about specifically things the characters would not say, but would have been funny had they said it. Thanks.

on topic:

Cassie: I think we should just morph into known human controllers and stroll down to the yeerk pool. Then, once we are down there, we could easily get close to the pool without raising suspicion, and throw in an explosive device. can you say great idea or what guys? 8)

Ax: <For unlimited morphing time, it needs to be registered by purchasing a registration key. Otherwise, you're using the free trial version, which has a time limit.>
Tobias: <And... and... and why didn't he register it? How much is the key?>
Ax: <Because he wanted to save money. Not that our family is poor. It's worth about 10 of your dollars.>
Jake: Can we register it now?
Ax: <No. It could only be done at my homeworld.>
Rachel: So, life has become harder than necessary for us. ALL BECAUSE OF YOUR BROTHER NOT PAYING 10 DOLLARS!?!?!?!?!?  :mad:
Ax: (thinking to himself) Now would be not the right time to say that the premium version, by paying 50 more dollars, makes you immortal in morph.

First book. After they met the Andalite and knew about the Invasion, they talked a little about that in Jake's house, and then want to leave to meet Cassie and Rachel. Behind the entrance door, Jake is looking through the mail slot.
Marco: Any Yeerk out there?
Jake: Don't say that!
Marco: What?
Jake: That!
Marco: What?
Jake: That!! The "Y" word. Don't say it!
Marco: Why not?
Jake: Because it's ridiculous!
Marco: Alright... are there any, though?
Jake: *looking out the door mail slot, sees an empty street* I don't see any. Maybe it's not as bad as the Anda... he said. *turns his head, sees a pack of people* Oh, no, wait, there they are.
