Okay, my response to Damien's yeerk-resistant character idea:
NO.
Well, that was my first thought, anyway. After that, cogs started working in my brain in that random way that's common to my brain and I came up with a possible way a host 'might' have some slim chance of disrupting Yeerk-control/access: Autism.
An autistic person's brain does not function the way it should, so various 'pathways' etc might be a labyrinth for the Yeerk to navigate effectively.
However: Playing the part of someone with such a condition for a player who doesn't suffer that condition themselves would be very challenging to pull-off.
I'm also concerned with where such a character's allegiance lies. Every 3 days, the Yeerk would need a dip in the pool, or else die. During separation of Yeerk and host, how would each act? How could it be safe for the group to let this Yeerk join his kind on a regular basis like that?
If you want to play a 'bad-guy', that's fine with me. I'm sure we could whip-up some reason the char might lose some (or all) his memory prior to being infested... Or you could apply for a second character to be this 'bad-guy'. You're not restricted to one-char-per-player, you know.
I'd also like to second Jessica's observation implying that there seems to be some meta-gaming going on:
Every sentence Alice has spoken, I have carefully constructed. Where she has been vague, this is by player-intention. Throughout the 'big speech' post, she only made one reference to the Yeerks being parasites, and that was when she used the word 'host'. She did not elaborate and say they control people from within. Yet. She has previously implied something along the lines of 'mind-control' being used by this enemy species, but for all the other chars know, this could have just been a brainwashing-ray or other kind of technology/implant/etc.
I realize there may be some impatience to get all chars 'in-the-know' about all this background stuff, but it is appreciated when people show they have taken the time and effort to actually read the posts, rather than skimming and assuming everything that should be said has been said, especially when that is not the case.
... I'm gonna stop there before this post turns into too much of a rant. I would like to point out that I've also noticed a few really attentive players in this RP, that I very much enjoy RPing with.
