Elayne slowly lets out her breath as Ossanlin begins to morph, feeling tension begin to dissipate from her shoulders. She puts the sedative back in its place in the box and latches it closed. "Good work," she murmurs to Salem as she stands, the metal case still in hand. She pushes her way through the crowd around Ossanlin and starts towards the bar, looking for Mar. "Maybe I oughtta hang on to this," she mutters, her grip on the box's handle tightening. "What a way to wake up."

[Terenia]

Terenia does not go far, backing into the woods only until the circle of worried onlookers disappear behind the trees. Once she is safely out of sight she closes her eyes, concentrating on her human form. As the morph progresses an internal battle is raging inside her head, one that, for once, Efaen has nothing to do with.

They're actually trying to help me.

Yeah, so that you're in their debt. So that they can use you.

Ossanlin almost died going after the turelek.

He is an Andalite. He can't be trusted.

But look at what he did! And what about the humanoid - Parker? What about Corliss?

At the thought of Corliss, Terenia's internal monologue grinds to a halt. He, at least, she can feel grateful towards without worrying that he intends on harming her in the future. Still, a small, insistent voice warns her that such a level of comfort was exactly what would lead to her being hurt again.

Fully human, Terenia finds a felled tree and takes a seat, holding her head in her hands as she tries to sort through the barrage of emotions.

Tora's moment of self-beration grinds to a halt as she hears footsteps not far from her hiding spot. She looks in the direction of the sound but she can see nothing through the thick foliage. Although she is anything but soft-footed in her human morph, she knows she should not be seen in her morphing suit. People will become suspicious, and she has already revealed her Andalite form the Hork Bajir with whom Myitt was speaking. All in all this adventure is not going well; she has been too long at the base and out of the spying business. Her skills are rusty, and it shows. I should finish consuming my Dr. Pepper and return to Reven and the others, she sighs, taking her first ginger step away from whoever is nearby.

Parker nods to Claxter, however he awaits Aliciana's response.

((Hey, Gaz, Mar did tell Fletcher that Ossanlin was hurt. The chaos might have to continue for at least another few moments in that quarter  ))

Salem breathed a sigh of relief when Ossanlin started to morph. His training wasn't remotely sufficient to deal with the types of injuries Ossanlin had taken. He knelt in the dirt for a moment, shaking, as Elayne turned to leave. He nodded at her but didn't say anything. He could feel the aftereffects of adrenaline draining out of his system. Funny... why hadn't he noticed the rush in the first place? For some reason he had a terrible headache. He could feel the blood pounding in his ears. He should have noticed that before, too. He closed his eyes for a second to steady himself, and drew a deep breath.

Finally, he rose and stepped towards Ossanlin. As he stooped to pick up the remants of his jacket, which had fallen beside the War Prince, he said, "We got lucky this time. Morphing is not a substitute for medical procedures. Somebody around here needs to learn that being in shock and morphing don't usually mix."

He turned on his heel and walked briskly off towards the woods, throwing his jacket over his shoulder. He called back to the crowd, "Somebody tell the War Prince to try not to get himself killed until I get back!" As an afterthought, he muttered to himself, "Andalite owes me a jacket."

Alic kept Ossanlin's hand while he morphed, but sat silently a few minutes longer to make sure that, even in a different form, he was alive. Slowly, she stood up, still holding his hand and nodded to Parker. She would rather just keep him with her, but knew that moving him to a safer location would be best. She reluctantly let go of his hand and decided that she would never leave his side.

((Yeah, I was sort of trying to delay so that Gaz and Myitt would be able to be involved, but the moment seemed right and it didn't seem like Gaz was gonna get Asda in on the action so I went ahead and morphed.  If Patty hadn't come back with Alic, Oss would still be lying there severely injured.  :p ))

[Darth Revan]

Parker nodded back to Alic in appreciation. He knew what it felt to want to stay in constant contact with the one you love. He knelt down and ever so gently slid his arms underneath Ossanlin's body. He scooped him up, held him in his arms and said to Alic, "Lead the way." He knew where the ship was, but he wanted Alic to know she was in charge and he was only there to guard and escort. He respected her feelings and wanted to show that.

((Morphing and being in shock doesn't mix? That's how The Animorphs survived almost half their battles. ))

Since Ossanlin was safe and in protective custody, Thordon felt the situation no longer necessitated his presence. He rose up into the sky, still sitting on nothing, and flew off towards the young boy's ship where he came from.


The Director nodded, "Good idea. Let's keep our noses clear of it. Too many spectators as it is." He started walking toward the bar.

No one had answered Claxter's question about whose ship it was that took off, but he decided not to press it. He wasn't a big take charge kind of person, nor was he highly respected around here. He decided to resume his watch over Cody, and went back to the bar.

<Oh good, you haven't moved and don't seem worse than when I left.> He said.

"No I didn't move. Two people died here while you were gone."

<What!? Really!?>

"No, not really."

<You have a strange sense of humor.>

"I'm a strange man."

[Gaz]

(sorry about that. Net at home still acting up. Using my mom'stouch at starbucks. Should fletcher still reply?)

((I say yeah. They haven't heard that Ossanlin's fine yet. You could have Asda bump into Parker carrying Ossanlin ))

(Asda is doing something in the ship. I can have Fletcher relay messages or something.)

"Is there still someone in need of a doctor? I can get Asda," Fletcher said. He had been sort of out of it, lost in his own thoughts.

Inside The Cursed Pride, Morgan's ship, Asda was preparing to do a head scan of Silver. She nodded at what Silver was telling her.

"We'll see if we can find a cause," Asda said. She ran scanner over Silver's head and watched as the computer came up with a reading.

Silver waited as Asda went through the screenings on the computer. She wasn't sure what Asda would fine so she was very nrvous about it. She bit her lower lip as she anxiously waited.
