Thanks Chad, I'm uber excited. ^^ Nobuo Uematsu is the first man responsible for my love of listening to, composing, and playing instrumental music. I had others later, but he was the first.
Also, a couple of announcements. First off, I know some of us are having to wait on posts from other key players. I'll wait until this evening (Friday)...whether we have posts from people by tonight or not, I'm going to be moving the story-line along. So that's just a little forewarning that I will be making a post later tonight that will be affecting the entire ship, regardless of who is where, unless I get any messages asking me to wait until Saturday, but I want people to be able to react and take actions this weekend when (presumably) people will have time to post. So to reiterate, I'll be posting later tonight, unless I receive a message asking for a one-day delay in which case I will post Saturday, probably in the late afternoon.
The second notice is that I think we (finally) have everything squared away to launch the rebel history thread. I'm looking to launch that tonight as well, unless one of the rebel mods sends me a message asking me to wait on that. The history thread will be launched for those of us who will be starting new rebel characters at the start of the main thread chapter three (Me, Estelore, and Steph), and those who have pre-existing rebel characters (Myitt, Terenia, and Marie). Chad, if you're wanting Derrel to be a canon part of the rebellion, that's something you'll have to take up with Myitt, Terenia, and Marie. The original Yeerk rebellion belongs to the girls, so they have the say-so when it comes to its history, policies, members, etc.
We'll use this OOC thread for any concerns regarding the history thread as well since the rebel history thread currently being launched is an offshoot of the Rogue Element Alternate Universe. I will also be sending out a wave of PM's to those concerned regarding the start setting of the Rebel history thread (which has changed from what some of you were expecting), and will send out another wave of PM's once the thread is live. And remember, the history thread is mainly for character development and the creation and development of relationships for the sake of a natural induction of new rebel characters to the main thread. It's going to be a bit more relaxed, and while I hope everyone involved can find the time to post once or twice a week, there will be no set post number requirements unless they become necessary due to stagnation. The same rules (excepting the post number requirement) are expected within the Rebel History thread.
Finally, I hope everyone is still doing alright! We're weathering a nasty snowstorm this morning, for the record. >_< It's fracking cold.
