What do you mean unspecified time till the invasion is public?
Jake reveals he's 16 in #53, and the fight was fairly public by then.
And the war ends about a week  later

While 3 years is canon, if you make that each bookstarts about a day after the next,
I believe there are only 338 days accounted for in the books themselves

(Went a little OCD last time I read through: all the time travel events I counted as starting and ending on the same day)
Something, something, oh crap I pissed everyone off again....

I'm pretty sure they were only going on missions during the weekends at first, and it's stated in book 13 that a year has passed.

Depends how you define going on missions. The first raid on the Pool was on a Monday night, and while the climax was often on weekends, they had to do recon and such up through the week.

And I refuse to believe 13 is a calendar year since they started, since that would be a third of the way through the series.
I think she said that because that's about a year since publication began

My count, with varies breaths between books, puts 13 about 8 months after meeting Elfangor, about Feb 97.

It does seem odd to me that they only had 12 "on screen" adventures in an entire year, but 13 states what it states. I guess you can believe it's not a full year, and just several months.

Techincally, just to be a pill, I went, and checked he only says a year ago Hork-Bajir would have been a meaningless term.
Could have just as truthfully said five years ago, not so long ago, etc, not really a hard and fast assertion of how much time as gone by

Oh, I see. Yeah, he could have just given a round time frame or something. It would be less odd than saying four months and seven days and thirteen hours ago, or something.

Actually if they did a mission every weekend, 3-4 months would be a reasonable time frame, but that idea wouldn't be hard evidence.

Saw your posts both here and in the reread thread on this one. The one possible answer to this is... we have no idea. It was not The One (KA stated in a later interview that The One, when it appeared, was a completely new character who had not previously appeared in the series). Who or what it was that said that was never distinctly defined in the series, nor was the storyline involving it ever developed beyond this one book.

If you want to see what some other people's thoughts have been, I suggest skimming either this thread or this one. Feel free to necro one of those or start a new topic on the subject if you have more to say ^_^ I just figure looking at those is a great way to get the thoughts from some of the people who aren't here any longer.

Hahahahah! Totally, man! "Klicki-dee-KLACK I'll BE BACK!!!"

Did KA make any references to the Governator in the series???
I am pretty sure she did.

Arnold helps to rescue a nutty Yeerk infested man in book 17 (The Underground).  I bet that the Animorphs could have recruited HIM to help them!

wikipedia lists thirteen as verified/identified by the series- not speaking to anything else V3 has in his arsenal that we never see. since i can't think of any others, this is probably one of the more accurate lists out there.

How old was Tobias when his real father (Prince Elfangor) left him and his mother?  (If Tobias hadn't yet been born, you may use a negative number).

Andalite Chronicles says Loren went to the doctor and found out she was pregnant the day Elfangor left. So she was more than likely in the early stages at that point.

And then the Ellimist erased Loren's memories of Elfangor.  Did the Ellimist retroactively marry her to another man, and implant in Loren and her new husband false memories of them being married for at least 9 months before Tobias' birth?

I don't think it gets that specific. It's not like Elfangor would've known, and Loren wouldn't have remembered what happened anyway.
