"This is all still awesome to me, and tells me I should find an engineer to make hand held scanners." As for this haviss, if you point him out I might be able morph something small and follow him. Tell me are there insects here?"

"That guy that complained to you earlier is Haviss. A male Human controller. I believe his host's name is Dan. As for insects, I think I've heard a few around here." He started looking around for something that might help them catch one. A net with small meshing, a light source, and maybe some gloves, just to be safe. He brought them back out, and showed them to Conner. "Let's go bug hunting."

The varied reactions of Haviss and his host are so strong that they register as aura and ripple through even the mortal Mar, causing his entire posture to relax either as if he just ate or drank a small shot of alcohol. Yes, yes---- the energy benefits were well worth coming back to the Bar again. Never mind that he couldn't find either of the two people he was looking for. Or perhaps he was merely trying to convince Himself that there was a point to being blind and nearly powerless.

"She did speak in passing of travelling with the Rebellion in various conversations," stated Mar. His voice seems to be much more measured and certain than it was, and pleased to boot. "I do not know her ultimate choice, but I would start there if I were you. Although you seem to be a mighty unlucky man, as not a single rebel I know is here today."

He did notice after finishing these words the Other's rambling--- the creature's manifestation was either broken or had a very different aim than His own. It evidently noticed him and knew who he really was. This was a problem, especially since he had no idea who or what this Highest-projection was, and where it was from. He kept note of it for future reference.

"Gallant as vis Crimson Albert Rorek Regale," states Gallant, smiling pleasantly at her. "Gallant Regale for short. Of Avendale, House Light, in the Rhinefeld. A distinguished name to be sure, but perhaps nothing out here." That actually worried him, and so did the issue of returning home. If he wasn't there to participate in the tournament, what would happen to the failing fortune of the Regales?

"And who might you be, Rose?" he stated, smiling. "Do you know what, well...less-than-fine...country we are in?"

Gene is so shocked by Haviss' approach and the subsequent conversation--the revelation that this version of Haviss and Dan are not the people he knows--that he can only stare at Dan's hand, too numb to react to Haviss' offered handshake.

He nearly drops his bottle of beer from numb hands as he watches the conversation between Haviss and Mar, transfixed. He barely even registers the strange creature that appears at the piano, and the din of the bar is washed out by internal debate.

<<We need to get out of here, Kellim,>> Gene says again, feverish.

<<It won't exactly be a simple thing, sneaking out of this booth at the mention of the rebellion,>> Kellim hisses back. <<I am trying to listen!>>

<<You handle it, then!>> Gene snaps. <<I give up, go, go already! I already look like I've seen a ghost!>>

Kellim blinks into control, catching the beer before it slips to the floor. He places the bottle on the cracked wooden table, not really looking at it.

"Dan Rerin," Kellim says warily, leaning forward and wiping sweaty hands on his jeans. "And Haviss Four-Seven-Seven." He gives Dan and Mar a slow smile. "Forgive my relative surprise. You see, I thought you would recognize me. We are supposed to be living under the same roof."

<<Kellim, what the ****?>> Gene yelps, aghast.

"The Rebellion," Haviss murmurs, nodding. "Yes, I know of them. Every so often one of my...clients...is some idiotic soul who was trying to find them."

He swallows, clamping down on his control over Dan, whose fury is mounting. Almost subconsciously, Haviss' hand balls into a fist, though his expression does not change. "I must find these rebels."

Haviss is distracted by the sudden interjection of the strange new arrival. He turns his attention to it, watching in muted confusion and anxiousness. <<By the Kandrona itself, what is going on here?>>

Kellim's sudden injection into the conversation startles Haviss, who is already on edge. He turns back around, eyeing the stranger suspiciously. "The complex I work at is large, and I have not been there in almost two years. It is entirely possible we live under the same roof and I do not know you." That was not good. Someone from his own facility should not be here. And if they were...they could take news of Haviss' folly back to the Empire. Framed the wrong way, he could be looking at a death sentence.

<<Good,>> Dan snarls. <<You deserve to die. I hope they let you starve. And I hope I get to hear every single cry, you bastard.>>

Clearing his throat, Haviss forces a smile on his face. "I don't suppose you could refresh my memory?"

Elriss blinks at the man's introduction. That's certainly a long, non-Yeerk title. As she steps into the bar, she mumbles, "Gallant Albert as vis-a-vee von Braun of the lighthouse?" She smiles at Gallant as she steps through the door, "How about I just call you Gallant? Gentleman that you are."

She makes her way to the table at which Mar and Haviss are speaking, plopping into the chair next to Haviss. She smiles at Gene, then turns back to answer Gallant's questions, "I'm really just Rose. And I say we're in America. Haviss here," she rests a hand on Dan's shoulder, "says we're on a distant planet, which would make my walk back a lot longer." She laughs a little at her own wit, and waves the bartender over.

"Venvolar, it's the Space Bar!" says the strange boy-creature in the nasally man's voice. It sounds absolutely delighted about this. It eyes the bartender, then looks at Mar, pointing an impossibly skinny finger at him and affecting a look of concern. "Venvolar, that one has a growth, a dark cancerous growth, much bigger than the man himself. It's far away, but it's still all of him. Find me a saw, that I may remove it."

"Later, Genwa," says the creature distractedly, switching back to the young boy's voice and slumping. "What's a Space Bar, Jelsea?"

Mar watches the exchange between the two men carefully and smirks. Of course---after all the happenings that had taken place in this miserable dive, he had already guessed. This Kellim fellow and Haviss know each other, but they know different versions of one another. He wasn't certain what the differences actually were, but it evidently disturbed them both.

"I believe we've already been introduced," he states to Kellim with a smile. "Interesting to see that two old friends have arrived together, although you're hardly my friends."

Mar scowled as he saw the monster point at him and make odd but accurate statements. Who or what was this thing? He searched his memory. He was....the Highest was saying he was a Well, or a portal, or storage device? Hmm. Something like that was involved. "Whatever you might be, I haven't the energy to deal with you now," stated Mar in the thing's general direction.

Gallant looked around the Bar with an air of mistrust and disappointment. He hung his head slightly. It was every bit as ugly, devoid of normal human beings, and prone to attracting criminal types as he had expected. The lightbulb just over his head fizzled out as if it was disappointed with him. Gallant wandered farther in, looking back at Rose but hoping to examine the...locals...more closely.

Gallant froze when he spotted two of them, grabbing near his hip reflexively but thinking better of it. Dracon Titanus in his other body and a Replicant! Or...well...what presumably had to be a Replicant--- he'd never seen that type before. But it didn't really matter. Gallant squirmed and hoped neither of the two monsters would notice him.

Gallant then turns to Rose and smiles politely, gesturing for her to walk ahead of him. "Of course you may call me Gallant! Why, even my acquaintances do. As for this...America..." Gallant shrugs with a grin. "...I can't say I've ever heard of the country. Nor do I comprehend how we could be standing on another planet. But you must be telling the truth."

Connor shook his head before concentrating on the DNA of a mosquito. After he had completed the transformation he said to Ike in thought speak <I hope that didn't make you sick. Should have warned you>

Ike looked first with curiosity, then disgust, as Conner morphed a mosquito. He averted his eyes when Conner was midway through, deciding he had seen enough. "Be careful, I guess. I'll try to follow and help when I can. If you get in trouble, just fly back to me if you're able."

He walked outside, carrying his flashlight, and made his way to the trees.

Kato-Adism-Tattuye sauntered into the bar, the normal blue Andalite Fur that was on his body was more of a golden color due to his time spent in the Aparies universe. He sauntered over to the bar, his tail held high and said <I am Kato-Adsim-Tattuye>

Ike wandered the woods for a few minutes, shining the light through the trees. Eventually he saw something with wings flitting between the branches. He waved his hand in that direction, pointing at what looked like a kind of beetle.

Connor flew off Ike and demorphed a bit away before returning. He silently caught the beetle and started to acquire it. When he was done he looked at Ike and said "simple as that"

"very cool. I guess we'll head back to the bar." Ike said. He stashed the flashlight back in his ship, and found Haviss still in the bar. There was also an Andalite. It kind of worried him to know there was an Andalite here, since trouble would probably follow shortly after. Ike decided to stand apart from the crowd, and watched what happened next.

"My name is Kellim Seven-Four-One," Kellim says stiffly, sitting back. "And I believe I know quite a bit about you and your host, even if you do not know me and mine."

<<Kellim, what in God's name are you doing? Are you trying to get us killed? Or change ****ing...space-time?>> Gene is beside himself internally, going so far as to push for control.

<<I want to know how he can be here,>> Kellim says, distracted.

<<It's a ****ing bar in space! A temporal rift! Who cares how he's here, can we please not let some past version of Haviss destroy us?>>

Haviss can't help but scowl a little at Elriss' return. Not that his conversation with her hadn't been entirely pleasant, but because he was suddenly feeling as though things were going badly incredibly quickly and one more factor in the equation was not something he wanted.

"I assure you, you are far from Earth," he says in a slightly clipped voice, before turning back to the problem at hand. "Kellim Seven-Four-One," he repeats, a little grimly. "Tell me, what exactly is it you know about me and this body?" His expression twitches only slightly at the mention of Dan.

<<Calm yourself, human,>> he hisses. <<What use will expending this energy do? If your sister is dead no amount of fighting will bring her back.>>
