<<Do we follow him, or what?>>
<<Yes, for now. It's not like we're in a hurry to get back to sitting in the bar.>>
<<yeah, but... well, maybe we'd be intruding on something?>>
<<Well, if that's the case, surely they'll give us some indication that they're wanting privacy, wouldn't they?>>
<<probably, yeah... okay, whatever.>>
Jasper and Salem followed by Al, coming up on Salem and the guy he was talking to at the moment. The way they were approaching though, he couldn't tell who he was chatting with due to the angle. Not that either of them would have recognized anyone on this rock anyways....
<<You're anxious, aren't you?>>
<<No, I... >> Sapttus stalled. << I guess I am. I know this process might take a while, but just the fact that we've taken half a step towards finding a cure is exhilarating to me. And now... we're chatting with friends. This is hardly productive.>>
Jasper wasn't sure how to respond. Sapttus was hyper-focused on his goal, and that was something he hadn't seen in his Yeerk Buddy for a while. It... felt to him like Sapttus was there in his head, but not with him in his head.
<<I'm not taking over, am I?>> Sapttus asked, having noticed Jasper's thoughts.
<<Oh no, no, no.... it's just... well, I can tell this is what we'll be doing for a while.>> He gave the equivalent of a mental smile to show his mind-reading ally that he was okay with this, which he was... for the most part. Again, it wasn't like he had anything better to do.
