<Thank you Theta. If you could lift his entire body simultaneously, then we won't have to worry about the movement harming him like pulling on him might. We can then make for the Mirage. You may not have to exert yourself in an effort to morph, Prince Ossanlin.>

Danielle responds to Jagill, "Thats probably a good idea. The sooner the ship is out of the bar, the sooner repairs can be made, to both."

Jagill nodded, and made for his ship. "One of us pilot, and other use tractor beam, maybe. Which one you want? If I try by myself, I might make bigger mess."

She followed closely. "I'll pilot. Thats what my job technically is now."

Al stepped around to behind Jasper's chair and rested his chin in his arms on the high seat back, looking down at Jasper. He chuckled at Jasper's apology, "Nah, it's all good. The stuff in the main ship here is durable, and Salem there'll heal."

Salem shot Al a look of bemusement, then closed his eyes, took a breath, and pulled himself up by the leg of the shelf he'd thwanged himself on. "So, that something that your instant meal causes?" he asked as he half-limped, half-hobbled his way over to the chair. He mirrored Al's pose, looking down at Jasper with his chin in his hands from the other side of the seat back. "Man, you guys'd fit right in with Furka, from what I understand."

Al laughed, "Everyone fits in at Furka. That's why we're so awesome." He smiled down at Jasper, "Take your time, man. No rush."

Salem, in the meantime, had gone back to watching the display of what'd taken place during the fight outside, which was now repeating again on the wall of the craft. There were a lot of interesting energies being thrown around- his system had read strong life-force energy from Mar, beginning shortly before his collapse. The swordsman had been channeling what looked like immortal energy, though Salem couldn't tell from this display where the power had come from for him to generate the large energy blast he'd used at the end. And Ossanlin... it looked as though the War-Prince had been manipulating temporal energy, with a level of precision that even Salem's ship could barely comprehend, using nothing more than his own being. This was no ordinary Andalite. In fact, Salem found himself wondering if Ossanlin was actually an Andalite at all.

"Kandrona generator?" Salem asked, gently prodding Jasper and Sapptus. Al frowned at him slightly, but Salem just offered an apologetic shrug. He could see no reason to wait if they were ready to help him gather more information that'd assist his search for an oatmeal cure.

"Well, yeah, sorta. Really, it's not having it that causes it. So long as he's got his constant supply, he's good to go, but... apparently it's been too long." Jasper tilted his head back, and dumped the rest of the instant mix in his mouth, then crumpled the packet and stuffed it into a pocket.

<<yeah.... yeah, I think soap. Er, so... yeah, I'm getting there.>>
<<You had me worried there, I thought you'd gone off the deep-end for good or something.>>
<<Don't you give up on me yet. But um... was this as bad as the 'Falling Leaves' incident?>>
Jasper laughed slightly. <<Yeah... I'd so say. Although that was certainly funnier.>>
Sapttus sighed. <<I'll answer him now...>>
<<Go for it.>>

"This is Sapttus. I'm doin' much better now...." He said with the slightest stammer. "I din't bring one when we left, so 'nless there's one stored away on da ship somewhere, we don't have one. We'd be glad to go 'n check, but I highly doubt we'll have any luck."

"How's your knee?" Jasper asked, feeling guilty. No, he hadn't been the one swinging the thing around, but it had been his body, and, well... he thought that maybe he could have prevented it better. At least he wasn't really hurt..

We nodded.

We locked on to Ossanlin's Universal Coordinates. We activated the tractor beam.

Zaap! The Tractor came to life around the Ossanlin Unit. We raised the field barriers, and ossanlin floated of the ground.

We started towards the ship Claxter had referred to as the mirage.

Salem grinned, in spite of the throbbing in his leg, "I'll be fine. That was just a stupid move on my part." He pushed himself off the chair and limp-walked over towards the 'workbench' Sapptus had been sitting on. When he got there, he turned back to face Jasper and leaned against the bench.

"If you guys can't find a Kandrona generator, that's fine. I'm sure I can find others on this rock." He crossed his arms, "So, Sapptus, those scans I got of you are valuable in more ways than one. I've gotta pay you for that. What kind of stuff would you guys be interested in?"

Salem sent a thought-speak command to the ship, causing the internal display to stop replaying the fight and go back to showing a live image of the bar. There was something different, though. There, partially through the bar wall, was a large object that his ship had marked as a spacecraft. It was pretty clearly not Andalite or Yeerk- from what he could tell, the configuration wasn't something he'd seen before, though it looked vaguely Janapa.

"Oh, come on!" Salem yelled, surprising even himself. "I look away for two minutes and somebody crashes a damn ship into the bar? The hell is wrong with this place!?"

"Well ****," Illim remarks, wide-eyed, in response to the partial destruction of the Bar. "Hope it wasn't too jam-packed..."

He heads towards the hatch, making sure his new Dracon is still in place, ignoring Terenia to let Corliss handle her instead.

Elayne lifts her head, struggling to see what is going on around Mar. She curls into a ball to protect herself as Mar is thrown off her, and she looks around nervously as the deafening concussion of sound passes. "Mar?" She coughs and crawls the few feet to him, looking at the ship. "Are you really in any condition to stop... anyone right now?" she asks nervously, dusting herself off and flicking dirt from his coat's shoulder.

Jagill reached the ship and opened the hatch. He started up the ship, and sent a message to Temrash to tell him what they were doing. He pulled out something to sit on, and let Danielle have the pilot's chair.

Sapttus was still recuperating from the mental melt-down when Salem asked about payment. "All I want is a cure..."

Jasper thought to himself about what he'd ask for. Not that he had anything as important as Sapttus' need, but.. he could probably think of a few things. He felt kind of guilty thinking about himself. But hey, if they could get other things out of this deal, too... He kept quiet, however.

At least, he was quiet until Salem showed them what had happened. He was suddenly very glad they'd come to talk to Salem. If they'd been inside....  He didn't want to think about it.

"...Are these kinds of events normal around here? How do people even manage to stay alive on this disaster you call a planet?" Sapttus asked, incredulous. How was this place even still intact?

Corliss sighs.  "Of course I won't forget about you, love," he says, idly checking the power level on his Dracon.

He follows Illim out the Skimmer's hatch, jogging down the ramp and onto the gravel.

"Oh, my God," he breathes, staring up at the smoldering wreckage of half the bar.  Already, on the gravel under his boots, little splinters are flinching and writhing towards the broken and ruined side of the building.  Like tiny, wooden snakes.

Or projectiles.

"Illim," he says faintly, "you may want to um...move away from the...the wood.  The splinters, mate."

A sliver of wood flings past Corliss' face and he yelps, jerking his head back.  Bigger pieces of wood start to crawl jerkily, as if drawn by a bizarre magnet, towards the slumped and smoking end of the building.

Inside the bar, bits of glass and wood splinters slide and slither past visitors, pinging against the metal hull of the crashed ship, starting to rebuild the broken windows and wall.  Even a few odd pieces of what look like half-melted white board start to melt back together, sealing themselves impossibly into the wall.

....and so she reached out to push open the door.

There was no door.

Ewa blinked a few times.  There was, however, part of a wall that was rapidly reconstructing, a lumpy ship of some sort and a bar.  Since the bar wasn't actually in splinters she assumed it looked battered on a regular basis.  There were surprisingly few humans on set, meaning this sequence would either be very academic or very ..... modern.  Her mouth twists slightly.  If this is the dream of some upstart with too much money to spend reasonably, I'm going to cut this short.

Still, what to do.  Given the situation she's probably supposed to replace someone damaged in the crash which would mean direct interaction, but if this is what she thinks it is....

Ewa walks up to the bar,  next to the confidently overdressed humanoid and watches him out of the corner of her eye.  "I'll have a gin and tonic."

Salem shook his head without turning to look at Jasper. He was still staring at the scene of destruction that'd taken place at the bar. "I'm actually starting to wonder that myself," he said honestly. "In the short time I've been here, I've seen more chaos than I did in the previous several years." He turned back to Jasper and shrugged, "I've noticed that this place has a tendency to allow everyone to survive things that they wouldn't normally. I'm starting to think the bar might have a mind of its own. I can't see any purpose in most of the things going on here, but I tend to not question immortals."

Gee, that's comforting, he thought. My life is in the hands of an unseen sadistic lunatic. He shivered, and decided to change the subject.

"If you guys won't take something in payment, I will make you take something," Salem said with a wink at Jasper. He stroked the wall near himself, causing a compartment to open near the rear of the ship. He walked over and, with a grunt, pulled out a mostly-cylindrical device that was nearly as tall as his torso, and a bit bigger around. "Verrim Alchemist Device," he said, setting it down on the floor and resting his hand. "It's the most efficient way I've ever seen of converting materials into new raw elements. Would you have any use for something like this?"

Ossanlin keeps his eyes closed as he continues to calm his mind.  He still felt antsy...jittery...b ut through extreme mental fortitude, he quells the chemically-driven fight/flight response an his parasympathetic nervous system slows its firing rate significantly.  He feels himself leave the ground, a very strange sensation indeed, and opens his eyes.  He cannot move...he's being held immobile by something, though he can still breathe.  He can't seem to turn his head, though his stalk eyes are allowed to swivel and he sees a very strange Andalite indeed.  The being seemed to have mechanical parts actually grafted onto his body.  The Andalites were working on possible cybernetic enhancements, but this looked absolutely pervasive and over-done.  No Andalite would allow the loss of his natural form so completely.

The other form looks to be Claxter, he addresses him.  <Warrior, what is your current status as well as that of Efaen and...the other bar patrons?>  Ossanlin does not refer to Mar specifically, though it is mostly the dark being that he is referring to.
