Salem watched Jasper's reaction to Al's form and smiled, shaking his head ever so slightly. He and Al had often had disagreements about how public they should make information such as Al's true form- Salem was usually uncomfortable revealing anything more about themselves than was necessary- but he still enjoyed seeing the reactions to Al's revelation.
Salem nodded silently at Jasper's answer. Swallowing a lump that kept threatening to block his throat, he began scanning the Yeerk in Jasper's hand with a rod attached by a cable to a small pack that he'd stuck in his pocket.
"So he's primarily aquatic, right?" Salem asked. "Do... Yeerk populations usually outnumber host populations in Yeerk environments?" He finished his scan and stuck the rest of the device in his pocket, then walked over to the raised 'workbench' and cleared an area. "Would you mind setting him down for a minute? I need to get a couple of scans without you in them."
Al, in the meantime, ****ed his robotic head curiously as he looked at Sapptus, then caused some sort of alien song with a strong, fast bass beat to begin emanating softly from within the ship, figuring Saptus might enjoy it. He earned a slight glare from Salem, but ignored it and began doing 'the robot' without turning his hologram back on.
