No problems, Bear! Thins seems to be coming along nicely!
Gumby: A D20 system means that the GM (Originally me, but for the current mission, Bear) assesses the difficulty of any situation. You come across something in-game that you want to attempt: Lockpicking, Sneaking, Attacking, etc. Something that has the chance of failing in real life, therefore adding to the roleplaying element.
Instead of the GM just saying "You couldn't open the locked door." Or "You couldn't successfully sneak up on the Visser." Just because the GM doesn't want that to happen, you instead roll either a 10 or 20-sided die. Two D10 usually work the best for Percentile purposes. (Eg: Your first die rolls a 7. Your second die rolls 3. You have a 73% chance of success.)
The GM then decides the difficulty on any given task. (Like a "Very Hard" lock in Fallout.) For example, you want to lie to a Leeran. You would need to roll a natural 100. Two 10's. No small task. Or, say, identifying a weapon. Your military background gives you a slight advantage. Reyna would need to roll a 90 or higher, whereas you would only need to roll equal or higher than 65 or 70.
Your new stats mean that, when attacking, a D20 is rolled. If you roll higher than the enemies Defense, you succeed in the Attack. Similarly, the enemy needs to roll higher then your Defense to land an attack.
Eg: Say your Defense is 12 and a Kelbrid Attacker rolls a 9. The attack misses. If the Kelbrid rolls a 14, the attack hits. The Kelbrid then rolls to see how much damage was caused.
Conversely, rolling a 1 on a D20 is very, very bad. A 1 signifies an automatic fail, whereas a 20 signifies an automatic success.
1 = You not only miss your target, but harm yourself in the process.
20 = You not only hit, but you Crit. (Critical) the attack.
I hope this clears some stuff up for you.

Ok, I *really* am back, but I won't be here over the weekend. I start driving to Lubbock in just under an hour to see KoRn, Disturbed, Sevendust and In This Moment live on the second leg of the sold out Music As A Weapon 5 tour tomorrow night, as well as Fieldy's side project, Stillwater.
My AWESOME wife got us tickets on Valentine's day but the Tour was postponed due to Dave Draiman blowing out his voice, SO, I have posted in Resurrection (finally) and will hopefully see you all after the weekend!
THIS IS GOING TO BE AMAZNG!!!
