Mesa smiled internally at Reli's musings.  She probably needed some interesting technology after being away from the Andalite home world.  Despite their advances, Earth will ever be primitive in the eyes of Andalites.

And Shaun already had a morph in mind.  That made Mesa pause a little.  What will I morph?  Other than humans, obviously.  What could have the same grace on the ground as Leerans did in the water?  But she waited to start morphing human.  As much as it surprised her, she was a little self-conscious about morphing.  Leerans weren't exactly the most...attractive creatures.  One morphing, with bones and skin and what-not all mooshing about, it wouldn't be very appealing.  Rather gross, in fact.

But...something...w as off.  Was it Tiberi?  Something was sending off...vibes...and.. .what was it?  Mesa poked around a little, but she sensed nothing unusual.  Something was off....she could tell.

While Arhareli waited for the Hork-Bajir to use the Device, she contemplated to herself what she would add to her morphing repertoire. Unlike the others, her morphing ability was the permanent variety, gained when she first started her schooling.

Even so... I only have the Kafit Bird morph, and that is hardly an Earth creature. Anyway, I dislike how bulky it is; I may want something smaller, maneuverable... what was that smaller Earth-bird called, the one I liked? Kestrel? I will have to ask about it, when that time comes.  In battle, I would rather be myself, of course, but if I cannot be myself, I will want an alternative with no shortage of sharp edges and speed.

Reyna accepted her suit without a word, holding the dark fabric against her chest once it was in her arms. One hand fingered the fabric in wonder. She watches each of the others as they do the same, during which time she realizes that her hesitance is not just borne from her personality. Something is bothering her. She clears her throat slightly, sidling around behind the others until she is nearer to Tiberi.

"Sir..." she says softly, "I understand that you wish for us to sneak into this...this prison. But what will we do once we are in? How will we locate the guy we're looking for? And if - when - we do find him, what are we going to do with him?" Surely he does not expect us to kill someone,Reyna wonders, feeling a bit ill at the thought.

I looked at the suit i was holding and couldn't help but overhear the girl named Reyna asking Tiberi a question. "I can find the guy we are looking for he happens to be my father."

She looked nervous so i decided to try and comfort her.

"Hey if we get into any trouble i'll protect you and make sure you escape before i do."
Marco: Now do you see why it's crazy to think we can beat the Yeerks? I mean, come on: We can barely beat zoo security.

Tobias: (now stuck as a hawk) They'll come. The Andalites will come. And until then...
Jake: (nods and wipes tears) Yeah. Until then, we fight.

Mesa glanced up at Reyna.  She asked a good question.  Certainly it would be illogical to kill, though, this mission was rather discreet, she assumed.

She was rather surprised at Shaun, though.  Are you sure we are looking for your father? she asked, looking back at Tiberi.  And Reyna is older than you.  She has been discriminated against all her life, she added silently.  I'm sure she is capable of looking after herself.

I address the group, "We will depart as soon as everyone is ready. We have access to your psych profiles and have selected a genetic sample of an earth animal most suited to your personality. These will be made available to you on the shuttle, as well as a crash-course in morphing."

I then look towards Reli, addressing her question, "You're quite right. This suit represents the combination of Andalite tail fighting protocols as well as data garnered from human exploration of Saturn and it's moons. With some small adjustments, the suits can offer some protection from stray blade swipes, but not a full strength blow."

Listening to Reyna speak, I lose myself to a momentary thought. Just because we do not anticipate violence does not mean we should not prepare for it. Still... What will I think of myself knowing that I have recruited a group of innocents, some even being children, into a mission that, if it all goes into southern waters, could ultimately lead these people to taking a life... Is it worth maintaining this identity just to earn such trust that I could not, otherwise?
I decide to be as honest as I can. "Reyna, there is a risk in all things. I certainly have no intention of leading us into a situation that requires us to take the life of another, but I am not one to say what fate has in store for us. But I do sincerely hope that it does not come to that."

Once Shaun and Mesa voice there concerns regarding the contact, Tiberi speaks again. "I know exactly where to find your father. And yes, he is my contact. He is guarding a specific cell, of which Lee has memorised the location. If something does go wrong, however, I trust that Marty will be more than capable of accessing the database to learn his location. The man you are looking for is a guard by the name of Allan Oran."

((You did. :) Awesome. I'm going to bed after this one; g'night!))

Allan Oran? No- surely he can't mean-

Arhareli censored her own thought before it could be completed.  Perhaps her flickering moment of recognition hadn't been noticed by the Leeran?  Regardless, she forced it out of her mind and focused on speculative thoughts of morphs and the mission ahead.

Marty took hold of the strange fabric, watching it pour over Reli's morphing form. It was fascinating."Is there anyway to control how much area it covers? I've never been a long-sleeves kinda guy...." He said. It was true; he only wore a jacket if it was literally freezing outside, and he never wore long-sleeved shirts. It was just some weird thing about him.

Perhaps something weirder was learning the Chris' father was also an Andalite-Human nothlit. That was surely something worth remembering. And he was satisfied to hear he was right in assuming the Hork-Bajir was a Seer. No offense to the kind creatures, but the average Hork-Bajir wouldn't exactly pass as a GT&T employee, no matter what it morphed. And it was so very convenient for Tiberi to have individually selected morphs picked out for them in advance. Their group certainly had an upper-hand to the Animorphs when they entered the battle. It would be interesting to see what morph was chosen for him.

At the mention of him being expected to be able to locate their target in case of a change in plans, Marty smiled. "Ten dollars says I've got a modified version of whatever security system they use on my computer. I use them for holo-games I share with my friends. That part will be a piece of cake." What he said was mostly true. He knew most security programs and safeguards inside and out. He was familiar with nine out of ten systems he'd every heard of. It wasn't definite that he would know the exact program used, but he was sure he'd figure it out easily enough. "I'm interested in hearing what you've decided to say on my behalf about my absence, but regardless, I'm ready."

So they wouldn't be taking life.  That was good.  Mesa was peaceful, and thought that taking any life was extremely foolish.  And the contact was Shaun's father?  That might make it...difficult for him if something did arise.

And Reli recognized the name?  But she cut off the thought...very frustrating!  It started to bother Mesa to no end.  But now Reli was thinking forcedly elsewhere, like she didn't want Mesa to see!  This Andalite has hidden something from a Leeran, Mesa thought in wonder.  How extraordinary.

Tiberi said he had picked out their morphs.  That was good, she would probably find it rather natural to morph that creature, then.

Fisher heard, or thought, or felt the Leeran give him a rather irate response. How the devil did those frogs just live their whole lives having their minds read daily, that fisher would never know but he was hellbent on never, ever going to Leera.

As they were handed out they strange suits, he nodded in approval as he heard they had a the capability to deflect bullet, though in his heart he doubted anything could stop direct HK66 bullets. Oh well, he may find that out soon enough. Gingerly, he held it against his body, felt pretty good. It dropped to his side, held loosely in his right hand.

Questions were asked, Fisher was relieved this would probably be a non-lethal mission. But still, you could never know. Tiberi said they would leave as soon as all were ready, prompting Fisher to speak up.

ā€œIā€™m good to go, where are my men?ā€

Reyna nods, not entirely satisfied, but thankful for his honesty. She was still uncertain, but in accepting the morphing power she had, in her mind, accepted everything that went along with it. The Andalite had said that she could walk away, escape the prejudice that had followed her all her life, make a new future for herself. Somehow that sat wrong with Reyna, though. I may not like Andalites, she thought, but this one has made a serious sacrifice in offering me this power. I can't walk out on that.

"I am ready as well," Reyna says, her voice so quiet that only those that are closest to her can hear.

"I wouldn't mind a chance to try out my morph before we go," Jim said. "I've heard it can be a little difficult to gain control sometimes, and I don't want to risk that in an important situation. It's ok if we don't have time for that, though."
Despite his statement that he didn't mind going without trying the morph, he was very uncomfortable with the idea. If something happens, I'd like to have it be now, where there's a chance for someone to handle it. We may not get that luxury on the mission...

<Actually, I have to agree with him.  If any of the morphs are particularly dangerous, then the very best time to try them would be when both naturally-bladed individuals are here.  If any morph goes out of control, I would be able to subdue it and keep it away from the humans. Likewise, if I lose control in morph, then our Hork-Bajir friend would be equipped to stop me from rendering harm to the others here... if he does not object to it, and if the timing is not poor for the existing plans.>

"That seems like a good idea, though you seem to have the planning for this expenditure down to a very precise level. I'm assuming this was the 'crash-testing' that you mentioned though, because you surely considered the initial reactions to instincts, especially for beginning morphers. Also, I am very interested in seeing what was chosen for me. I have a feeling I'll enjoy it." Marty was rather excited about the surprise awaiting him. It was like opening a present or something. Surely it was something good, with a lot of thought put into it.
