The engine's roar startled Tarrade. <Is this vehicle powered by a combustion engine?!?> He asked incredulously. <I do not know where the others' dwellings are. I believe they said they were from a city named "Hoostin". Do you know where that is?> Tarry asked in reply. <Though perhaps we should refrain from drawing the Yeerks' attention to that area. We must be sure that we are not followed.>

"Houston!" Olivia said.  Just my luck that it is far away.  "We should find another method of transportation.  In the mean time I'll take the side streets."

<Ah, It would be nice to use a much more efficient means of travel. The speed of this vehicle is very disappointing. How will we contact the others? Might we wait until Sean returns in the morning?> Tarry said

"Waiting for Sean sounds nice but with all those slug heads running around how do we hide?"  Olivia said while checking her rearview mirror.  "You kind of stick out you know."  Then she had an idea.  "I know someone that are not looking for.  That Canadian girl that had me acquire her.  That might be a help."

Sandresh 85942 thought she heard the door creak.  The act she played of a worried mother was too easy when her host played tricks on her mind like that.  "He'll come back safe," she reassured her host out loud.

Tarry was still bothered by the fact that the morphing technology had already spread out uncontrolled, even if only to two extra humans. 'Bothered' was an understatement. <Have you yet been warned of the dangers and limits of the Andalite morphing technology? It would be useful for you to take on Josefina's form, but do you truly know what gift - and curse - you've been given? Have you been properly cautioned of the enemy, the Yeerks, the bane of the galaxy?>

"SQUAAAACK!!!" <I apologize.> This morph... his body... had strange impulses.

Olivia went over what she knew.  "I must concentrate on Josefina's form to take it on.  I know you are trapped because of the two hour limit.  What are the other limits?  The Yeerks don't have a way see through morphs do they?"

Jazar pulled in to the  drive way onto the darkly light farm.  The city noises could still be heard in the distance.  He came to the door and found it unlocked.  <Please remind Jo and Laurence that they don't live in the boonies anymore,> his host whispered.  As he locked the door after himself his host's mother's voice greeted him.
"You're late Merlin."
"Sandresh," he said.  "Everyone is in bed.  There is no need to keep up the act."

Tarry was glad that she knew at least a little; it was not nearly enough, however. He explained quickly how morphing is random, and often disturbing. He warned of the overpowering initial rush of instincts, though that wouldn't be much threat when morphing the same species. He also mentioned briefly, without great detail, how the technology worked... an animal must be touched to be acquired, it's DNA was absorbed into the blood stream, and stayed there until it was called upon.
At Olivia's final remark, Tarry laughed. <No, the Yeerks are not capable of coming up with technology of that importance. They are technology thieves, and not creators. Use the creature's instincts to understand how to behave as the animal would, and there is no way to discern a being in morph from a natural creature.>

Olivia hoped that Sean would be quick picking her up.  She was up all night walking back to the customs office after dumping her car and getting a change of clothes.  Every time she demorphed, Tarry was on look out for any sort of activity that might be Yeerk-like.  "At lest he will know to stop for me." she said.  "I really do look like Jo."

Jo awoke to the sound of her humming in the kitchen.  She blinked her eyes at the wrecked JPs on the floor.  Oh yeah that was what happened last night.  After finding the door locked she waited for Miriam and Merlin to be asleep before morphing Samantha to enter the doggie door.  She didn't what to morph by herself but didn't see another option.  After gaining control of the dog's happy instincts she took her PJs in her mouth and went though the door.  She went up to her room and demorphed and changed PJs.

OoC: I'll have a Tarry post ready really quick, kind of confused though; are we still running through the night?
BiC: Ultor, as sub-visser and leader of the Yeerk's Texas Operation, bore the curse of hearing about all bad news nearly before it happened. Like the fact that the customs agent (who must have been in someway connected to the rogue andalites) had escaped infestation due to an andalite in bird morph. When he received the news, Ultor grew rapidly upset; his desk took the brunt of it. "How on Gods green earth did this HAPPEN?!" The victim of his outrage was his second-in-command Regalis!
"We don't know sir, she simply outran and outsmarted our men." Regalis spoke in calming tones, his own Hork-bajir body completely at ease; He was quite sure Ultor wouldn't hurt him. "One moment we were in pursuit and the next the andalite and the woman had escaped. From this and the memories of the newly aquired humans, we have determined that their were 5-7 andalites or andalite backed humans."
Ultor sighed, <You have to call in the yeerk in charge of the operation and punish him. Severely.> Ignoring his host the Yeerk commander stood from his desk and walked over to one of the windows, one that looked out over one of the three small yeerk pools that were part of the complex. "Who was the yeerk in charge of the operation?"
"Jazar, uh, I don't have his designation number on hand" At this Regalis did look nervous and began shifting from foot to foot. His hork-bajir body doing a weird dance.
Ultor gave another stressed sigh, turning from the window, "Get three additional Hork-bajir and four human controllers, have them head up to the parking garage and then wait for me, I will pay this Jazar a visit personally."
Meh.

Sean woke up slowly as the sunlight filtered through the window curtains. 'OH CRUD!!!" He was suddenly wide awake, running towards the kitchen; the clock on the microwave said it was 9:42. He had never heard from anyone that Tarry and Olivia had made it off the island safely. He was supposed to be there in 18 minutes. At least he was still dressed. He grabbed his keys and ran out the door, down the stairs rather than waiting for the elevator, and took off as soon as he got to his car. The tires squealed. Hopefully traffic isn't bad today...

Brian woke up at 9:00-ish. He lay there a while, trying to make his new life match up with the life he'd had. It wasn't going well. Eventually he wandered to the kitchen and poured himself a bowl of Frosted Wheaties. He had to be at the coffee shop by 2:00, but he had plenty of time to kill. It was really weird... he was getting kinda anxious for their meeting on how to save the world from aliens. It wasn't what he'd typically looked forwards to...

Sean pulled off the main road and drove towards the port building. He went slowly, scanning the area all around. Finally he spotted someone he recognized. "Weren't you supposed to be on the school bus yesterday?" he asked 'Jo' with a smile. "Hurry up, get in."

Brian decided to go ahead and leave for the shop. It wasn't far, but he took his bike so he needed the extra time. Also, he didn't went Ben tagging along.... He left a note for his mom, who was out gardening in the back yard. He'd be back before dinner, it said.

Tarry flapped into Sean's car landing on the head rest of the passenger seats. < I greatly wish to hurry to our next destination, their is something about these craft that frighten me. Perhaps it was Olivia's abilities as a pilot that frightened him. <We were pursued by several yeerks and nearly captured. If I had, had my tail-> Tarry gave a sad thought speak sigh, <perhaps things would have not been so hectic and the enemy would be fewer in number.> Tarry tightened his grip on the head rest of the seat and flapped his wings vigorously; something that normal parrots did alot. <Sean, do you perhaps have a less primitive vehicle that will alow us to travel at greater speeds?>

"Thank goodness," Olivia said as she got in.  "I can't go home I don't know what to do."  She then demorphed.  "Cars are mostly the same Tarry."

"Sorry, friend, this is all I got." Sean thought it was weird. This was a nice car, but it was very disappointing to his alien ally. "Humans make faster vehicles, but most people don't use them. They're expensive." He thought for a second... "What was that about not having a tail?"
He looked at Olivia, who was now in her normal body. Yeah, that's still weird. He didn't know what to say to her, though. "Um... You can stay with me for a while if you need to.." Man, would Sherry get a kick out of this. Sena thought.
