"The Sharing, huh? We might just have to check that out sometime, little brother." He asked. Ben sent a glare at Brian.
"I'm not that little, y'know. I'm only five years younger than you...."
"Right, right; I'm sorry. Hey, you wanna help me carry my stuff in?"
"I guess...." Ben said in a sarcastic tone and with a smile on his face. The three of them went in through the wooden double doors. After Brian and his younger brother had dropped his luggage off upstairs in his room, they both came down and sat at the kitchen bar, while their mom washed a couple dishes on the other side. They hung out here quite often, at least as much as they did in the living room. It was nice being home, were everything was familiar, and he knew... Trust no one. The thought ran through his head involuntarily. It caught Brian off guard, causing him to stare at his mother. She was a just a single mother school teacher... why would the Yeerks want her? No, I can trust them. he thought to himself.
"Brian?" Brian snapped out of his disturbing thoughts.
"Oh, I'm sorry. What was that Mom?"
"I said, what would you think about ordering a pizza for dinner?" Brian let out a sigh.
"That would be wonderful."
