"Plan A sounds most likely to work. We just have to hope no one asks us important questions. Plan B just sounds...I don't know. Stupid. We're probably more likely to get caught with Plan B." She smiled, face turning a little red. "Um, that speal was suppose to let you know that I'm voting for Plan A. Did everyone get that?"

"I agree with Nichole" Yarin said after he morphed to human.  "No offense to you or your species but a human is just another animal to me."

"Okay, plan A it is. The most convenient thing to do may be for Nichole to aquire Lynn. You're roommates, so just aquire her while she's sleeping. I'm going to need a small morph, but that shouldn't be too hard. We'll do this tomorrow, as long as no one has plans. Now let's get back and have some fun."

"I do not think I have plans but I will have to check." Yarin said with a slight laugh. As for small morphs I might have some you'd be interested in Cody. Meet me at my ship in an hour I'll see what I can find."

(I'm going to go ahead and post. Jmnar4 can post when he gets time.)

They all went back and played some games. Eventually people started leaving, as the meeting was over. Cody had come with Nichole and Lynn, but he said he'd find his own way home. He met up with Yarin, who escorted him to the ship.

He got the DNA and had a look around the ship. He wondered if he should ask to start staying with Yarin as roommates, but wasn't sure how he would respond to that. Instead he left for the construction site, mentioning to Yarin where he was going so someone would know where he was.

The morphing cube was still safe in the hiding spot, and Cody lay down to get some sleep. Soon they would be going down to the Yeerk Pool.

"You got that right," Nick said with a bit of a grin. "And I'm fine with whomever wants to lead. I'm very good at following orders. Leading...well, let's just not get into that. Just one quick question: why am I the only one who has to follow Jason's orders?"

((I liked the last line. Very funny. Though it does remind me that I'M THE ONLY GIRL SURROUNDED BY BOYS!!! I MUST BE IN...Well, I guess it depends on how cute the guys are.  >:D  ;D Oh, and my character's serious about not being in charge. Though I did have a quick question. Assuming this rp is around when we reach book 4, or earlier if ya'll want--assuming everyone wants to do that book--, who's going to "fall unconscious and hear a mysterious voice calling from the ocean"?))

((Pitty. I liked Ax. Ah, well. Just checking.))

((Im more than willing (and ready) to provide an honor-obsessed, slightly egotistical, food loving, crash-landed alien in need of help....
So long as theres room and so long as you dont have your heart set on any species youve ever seen in Animorphs before.))

(Sure, you could join as another alien. Just no main character from the show.)

((Yay! ...Though that still doesn't help the boy to girl ratio. Not that you have to play a girl, Kelran. I'm just saying.))

Nichole couldn't sleep. She tossed and turned, but still her mind remained conscious. Finally, she got up and stood over the sleeping body of her roommate. It felt...awkward knowing that she was going to morph her friend. "Come on," she urged herself quietly. "It'll just take a moment."
That didn't cut down on the awkwardness as she reached a hand out and touched the other girl's tan skin. When she thought the proceedure was done, she lifted her hand from the girl and walked back over to her bed.
Pulling out her laptop, she proceeded to watch an episode of Star Trek under the covers with her head-phones in.

(I'll be introducing a female character that Cody saves from the pool. I'll control her, and have her be a love interest for Cody. That should even out the Human boy/girl ratio.)

(fine by me, but you will have to be the one who controls her)

As he walked home, Jason went over in his head what he had seen and heard down in the Yeerk Pool.  The thought of all those people suffering made him sick. They had to do something, the hard part being getting down to the Pool again, without getting caught.  "But then what?"  he wondered, "What will we do once we get down there, we can't fight all those controllers and get all those people out.  How can we do it without getting ourselves killed or captured?"

((Ok, if you dont mind Ill start making his intro posts,  :) he lives some 52 billion parsecs from the Milky Way, so we have to start explaining how he got to Earth. And he's not telepathic, but his race has dealt with telepaths, so their communications transponders can broadcast in thoughtspeak (but that has limitations), and his Recovery Beacon is sending out distress calls on all availible channels once he crashes.
But that does mean that anyone else with even the slightest telepathic perception, or a half decent slispace comms array, or an AM radio on 106.5 will hear him. So its up to ya'll how you want to discover him......))
((Ill start with his bio, then I have 5 or six cutscene style intro posts full of tertiary one time use characters and inssuferable technobabble  :D  ::) ))

-Name; Kelran-Isthinar

-Age; 18, to his race this age has a similar meaning as to humans, but his race generally live to 500 years or so, so ages are also not quite the same for them

-Race; Gryphon (they live in another galaxy in our cluster.)

-description of appearance; Ever seen a Gryphon?
http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g180/NCC-12290/GRFN3.png a picture I did a while back, its a Gryphon in mideival style armor, but its a pretty good pictoral description, and as a bonus is basicly how Id like my character specifically to look. Also; http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g180/NCC-12290/Griffins/GRIFFINT.png

-personality; strong willed, stubborn (never refuses a challenge, a dare, or an adventure), and loyal, but *brutal* and totally unreserved in a fight, very emotional, extremely unforgiving of backstabbers, betrayers, or manipulative people, he can deal with leadership when its coming from his own kind, but likely wouldnt take too well to anyone else giving orders. Also very brooding deep down inside, he tends not to show any of his emotions that he thinks would make him look vulnerable, so they become pent up and dangerous from time to time when he doesnt have a trusted person to vent them to.

-a brief bio; Born on the outer colony of Pandion VI, he grew up almost from his hatching with Festhar-Kilsirim as his one and only friend, he became like family to him.
His Father is a high ranking and decorated officer in the SFC (Strategic Fleet Command)
His mother was killed by the Kelbrid in a very early attack, they supposedly surrendered when he was still fairly young and they were given a second chance at peace though many never forgave them. (shameless alteration of the Kelbrid's location there  ::) )

Yarin stayed in his ship after Cody left.  He had shown Cody a few small creatures, like the Bokrix, a small primate 3 inch long body with 4 long arms and 2 long legs and a long tail. And the Nucogt a vicious little insect with transparent wings and a stinger. As Yarin entered his rest phase he wondered which one Cody would use.

((Ive done alot of the prolouge posts for Kelrin already, so Im copy pasting them in every so often to kill time until you guys decide its an opportune moment.  :) How often Ill post depends on how far you guys get and how quickly.
Now, I apologize in advance for the amount I write, but most of my posts are long. I also apologize for the technobabble.))

“Comms systems…….?”   “Affirmed”
“Basic Processing……?”  “Online”
“Main Power Grid….?  “Energizing….. Main Engineering systems are amber across the board. Go for full startup sequence.”
“Affirmed SA-14, initiating full startup. Gravitic coils going into pre-start. Verteron Generator spinning up,
Targeting running resolution diagnostics.  SIF running hot-diagnostic…..”
“SA-14 to GVG-Control, results nominal. Go for Gravitic coil pre-test.”
“Affirmed, Initializing Gravitic coil pre-test,  Verteron Generator has spun to 470 terra-skelrans, leveling off at pre-test levels.”
“Command to control group Iskil, cleared for test.”
“This is SA-14, affirmed, undocking in progress.”
“This is GVG-Control, affirmed, SA-14 diagnostic test-bed craft is away, we are on our own maneuvering thrust.  Positioning Vector into test range”
“Rcon-3 here, affirmed, test range is clear”
“Control acknowledges, Gravitic coils have begun pre-test sequence.”
Kelran felt a shiver of excitement run down his spine. This was a historic moment for his people.
If the Gravitic Vector Gate test was a success, his species would be able to explore many of the surrounding galaxies in their cluster, reaching out to new worlds…..
The Gryphons were in many ways a race of contradictions, to a human they would be almost exactly as earth mythos describes.  7 and a half feet on their hind legs, 6 or so on all fours, ambipedal. You’d just as soon see a Gryphon on all fours as on their hind legs, and by virtue of their unique biology, they looked majestic either way.
The Gryphons were a proud race, fiercely loyal, and sometimes brutally unforgiving, moral to a fault, but sometimes borderline unethical in battle where saving their own were concerned.
Kelran was a sub-leftenant  3rd class in the SFC, or Strategic Fleet Command, academy.
Not a particularly high rank, even for a cadet, but his father’s status as Knight and Fleet Commander of 2 bars earned him the right to witness this moment, and he was not about to let guilt over a few favors called in mar the moment.
Especially not when he could witness it aboard the SCS Legacy.
The latest starship to come off the design boards.
Tri-cycling Slipspace Drive Manifold capable of propulsion factor 12,  Multi-spectral plasma shields, level 9 disruptor particle beam matrix weapons, 15 of them, and tri-cobalt warhead launchers.
And MVAM.
Multi-vectored Assault Mode. When the enemy least expected, the Legacy would split symmetrically into 5 fully functional ships, the equivalent of two frigates and three corvettes.
All with their own separately usable Slipspace drives, and extra weapons mounts made possible by their separately operating power cores.
And as if all this was not good enough, he had been given honorary command of the forward ventral section. The smallest section, and his position wouldn’t have any function, but this, along with the lack of a full crew, meant that Kelran and his spirit-brother, his friend beyond a friend, Festhar, would have the sections sophisticated command center to themselves.
It was like winning the jackpot lottery, and bragging rights for the rest of their junior officer careers would be part of the bargain.

Cody woke up early. He was worried about what would happen in their very first mission. Would they show the Yeerks who was boss, or would they wind up dead? It's not like Cody had experience in this kind of thing. Normally when the going got tough, Cody found another path.

He had decided to take the bug morph, simply because it had wings. He decided to try it out, and began the morph. The process was as disturbing as he thought it would be, but he found it was very maneuverable. The instincts were territorial, but he handled it alright. He flew over to Yarin's ship, demorphed, and waited outside for him to get up.
