Alice hasn't left Kasey's house yet, she's only left the bedroom. She did ask via Chee-net if they wanted her to fetch the box on her way back to the complex. I hope, whether they reply or not, it's at least made clear IC that they have/have not replied.

Eddie is currently driving from his appartment to Kasey's house. I'm not sure what sort of distance/time this should take, nor how long he has already been driving for in RP-time. I also had him leave an open-tag to any character he's met, including Autumn. If she doesn't want to be left-out of the rescue-mission etc, she could get a lift to Kasey's off Eddie. I wanted to give Raven a fair chance to post a response before I have him arrive, but he could still go pick her up even after he arrives...

IMO, pets should NOT get their own post. Having a pet do something in a post for your main character(s) is fine, but not just posting for the pet on its own. Having said that, I obviously have no GM-type authority in this RP, so I hope Seryna can clarify this point, whatever she decides. I do remember in a previous RP of hers that I was in, she didn't allow such things.

Annoying, aren't I?  :-*

Yeah. Just a little. Reggie got his own post because no one else is posting, so Kasey has nothing to say, and I needed to respond to Sam. I don't see anything wrong with that, especially since it was done in respone to anoter playee. It's not like I was oing it for the heck of it.                                                                               I also want some clarifiation on whether or not we're allowing cell phones and texting. Cell phones were around at that time but thy were not common and they were expensive. The first text messages were being sent at this time but I doubt that a group of random kids would be sending them.

About the cellphone thing: Looking into each character's background, there are reasons for some of them to have cellphones. Eddie is a tech-head making his own money, he has one 'cos it's a gadget. Alice has one 'cos she's Chee. Kasey's family are reasonably wealthy, right? In which case, she may well also have a cellphone. Up to you.

I personally never liked the idea of RPing in the past, but that's out of my hands. I'd hope that cellphones should be generally available though, as it's easier to RP that way and get the plot moving faster than not having them. I did like Reece's beeper-idea, though of course it is possible to SMS a beeper through an intermediary.

I remember my family sharing a mobile phone back in the days before GSM technology, when the signal was analogue. We got a second one when GSM was introduced, and I'd often take one or the other to school with me. We are by no means well-off.

I'm with ya on the not being a fan of RPing in the past. Good calls on the cellphone stuff. I think that it would make sense for those three to have cells and the others to have beepers. :)

Those were just a few examples for you. Obviously Torrence also has a cellphone, as she has used it several times. Autumn also has one, as she received Torrence's first SMS. There may also be other examples.

We know Reece has a beeper, because Breekan stated so IC. Looking back on previous posts, I'm sure you'll find some other characters who received Torrence's first SMS about meeting at Kaseys place; I just can't spare the time to check.

Still, you could have Kasey respond to Eddie's SMS, if she's gonna have a cellphone, if for no other reason than to post to the RP. 'Respond' doesn't necessarily equal 'reply', of course. You may have her respond however you wish, or not at all. She's your character after all.

I like Jess's idea. It's still probably statistically unlikely, but hey, we're playing California teenagers. We're hip, man. We're trendy.

And I don't really see why having someone RP their pet is an issue. It's not like Jess is spamming or anything. It adds richness and the like. More importantly, there's nothing really obviously wrong with it, so the only person whose playstyle it should have to conform to is the person posting.  :)

You're right Fu. She's my character and I'm quite capable of playing her.

I don't see anything wrong with a doggy reaction. Takes something off my plate.  Fu, Alice did get all the reply that she's going to, so it'd be nice to get a post from you.

Your wish is my... Well, I posted anyway. ;)

I hope you like it, it took about an hour before I was happy with it myself.

BTW, what time-of-day is it in RP-time now? Eddie's mission-morph will be different depending how dark it is.

Shame Autumn/Raven missed her chance of a lift, eh?

PS: 3 (or is it 4?) Black Labs and one cat in the same house  ;D Poor Eddie... Muahahahaar!! [/evil-pirate-laugh]

Jess, I support the post for Reggie, it is quite viable.  For example, I was planning on having Jas acquire Reggie also, but now that he's left the room, Jas probably won't bother.  This could have big ripples down-time as it will be one less morph Jas has that could cause him to react differently in different situations.

As for the time thing...I agree that trying to limit time to the past is difficult.  That is in the hands of our GM.   But I'm not gonna fret if I make some mistakes linked to time as I said earlier.  :)

I actually kind of like the idea of RPing in the past, but I'm going to forget about it all the damn time x3

I wonder how many of the dogs can detect the black kitty in the hall's scent from their present locations...

I, too, dig the past RP. It gives us a certain flavor, and keeps us a bit more grounded in the world and tone of the books. Jake and Marco play Sega, not X-box.  ;)

Hey guys,

I definitely won't be a stickler. Its fun to have accurate postings (beepers, few cell phones, reasons why X has a cell phone), but if you forget, its okay!  We can always suss out a good reason for a post later.

I also have a bit of a 'cut scene' for the dog morphs searching out the ship with the bolded part to help move the story along and have something new to reply to.

As Fu asked, I'm sure more are wondering, its 3 PM. Sunset is at 5:30

As the ass morph caused me to shoot upwards and for my feathers to become itchy as they melted away into fur, I posed another question to the group.

Um... Did Torrence just go from one morph straight into another without demorphing first?? Tsk tsk, please do explain?
