"I know!' Torrence lamented. "I really should have. But that woman said we could morph clothes and I just thought... ugh. What a mess."

She lowered her voice as she looked over towards Eddie. "I really should apologize to him too, but I really don't think its appropriate while he's all... naked..."

"Oh."  Torrence looked down at herself. "About the only thing I can lose here are my pants. I could see if they might fit him.. I mean, they're not skinny jeans..."

She winced at imagining walking around in her underwear, but it was certainly better than being naked like Eddie and Kasey.

"Hey Eddie," She called over, keeping her eye on the leopard. "- what size pants do you wear?"

Reece nods, eyes not wavering from the sleeping male Cheetah. It flicks a tail in its sleep. "Yeah, chimps," he whispers. "I heard about the one that got loose and like, ate a lady. Might be a little on the nasty side."

"Yeah, I did too." Christina winced. "We'll have to be sure to control that instinct. How horrible..."

She reached out tentatively, noticing with a start that her hand was shaking.  She carefully placed her hand on the cheetah's side and began to 'acquire it'.

"Whoa." She breathed, surprised.

"Right! Instincts," Reece breathes. He relaxes against the door frame as he sees Christina calm the Cheetah down. "Instincts, time limits, public nudity... What the hell are we signed up for?"

Christina took a moment to reply until she was done acquiring the Cheetah.  She stepped back to stand next to Reece.

"I don't know.  I think I'm still in a state of shock, you know?" She glanced over to Reece. "Awhile ago I was almost Yeerk Slave and now I'm in a cheetah cage with a guy I just met.  Does it feel surreal to you too?"

Kasey lets out a tense giggle at Torrence's comment, then asks, "Are you done? You can bring him the pants while I acquire it. I'll help you get him over here as quickly as I can after I'm done."

Eddie: "A picture, Kasey? Oh believe me, I would if I could." I replied to her muttered retort, winking at her to let her know I meant what I'd said in a playful way rather than a depraved way. She seemed to have a secret smile about her, possibly her own reaction to seeing me naked? - Maybe.

"You know... What, Torrence? I didn't hear what Kasey asked you..." I started on hearing Torrence answer Kasey. When I heard her ask about what size trousers I wear, I was momentarily confused:

"What size pants? Why do you... OH!!" I suddenly realized her apparent intentions, and couldn't help a grin sliding onto my glowing face. "Yeah, I think they'd fit me... My leg muscles are really skinny from atrophy right now, so they shouldn't be too tight on me I don't think."

Kasey snorts at Eddie, then returns her attention to Torrence, "My feet are fine. I spend all of my free time in the woods. Besides, there's no way those will fit me. Your feet are tiny."  She leaves the shoes where they are, and hesitantly places her hand against the leopard, gently stroking it's coat. She closes her eyes, her breathing heavy, but even.
"Okay, I'll grab them when I come back." Torence says over her shoulder, continuing out of the exhibit.

"One of the benefits of paralysis, eh?"
Torrence replied, trying to keep herself upbeat. She really wasn't into exhibitionism.  One of the minor costs of morphing animals, she told herself. Morphing animals and oh yeah, saving the world.

"Wipe that smile off your face," She warned as she reached Eddie, moving to stand behind his wheelchair as she slipped her jeans off, with her back to him.
"-here." She handed the jeans over her shoulder, they likely hung down over his shoulder.

"Get started. Uh, let me know when you need help."

Like with boosting your butt up to get the seat on.. Torrence thought, shaking her head to herself. I'm not a prude, but this is definitely going to be a weird time.

Eddie:
I chuckled at Torrence's joke about 'benefits' of my condition... Ex-condition... Suddenly those type of jokes had become funny again, now I was on the mend...
"Smile??" I asked, feigning innocence. Ah well, at least it seemed there might be SOME payback from Torrence for her seeing me in the buff. When the jeans landed on me, I took them with a "Thank you" aimed over my shoulder at her.
With practiced hands, I made short work of getting her jeans on up to my knees, ruffling the material so my feet poked out the bottom of the legs. That done, I lifted the footrests clear and positioned my feet onto the ground, ready for the next bit.
"Okay, if you just wanna lift me from under my arms I can probably pull them up the rest of the way." I called back to Torrence.

"Okay, here we go."  Torrence turned around, keeping her eyes careful focused on Eddie's shoulders. Nowhere else. No sir - ee.

The teen reached out and lifted Eddie up out of the chair.

Eddie: As I was lifted by the strong girl I wondered if she'd be tempted to peak while I pulled the jeans up... I didn't see whether she did or not for real though. The moment my arse left the leather, with that sound of unsticking leather-stuck skin, mini-me popped free of its hiding-place and was temporarily on display while I shimmied and wiggled  the jeans up my thighs and over my hips - The jeans were a little tight over my hips, but they fitted well enough. "Okay, you can set me down again now. I just gotta do the button and the fly...

Torrence noticed Eddie shifted as she lifted him up and promptly closed her eyes. She had no desire to make this any more embarrassing than necessary.
"Yeah, that's all on you." Torrence laughed as she stepped back, glancing over to see how Kasey was doing.

"Let me know when you're cool.  We've left Kasey alone with a leopard."

Reece shrugs. "You know how it is- pop over to the community center for an afternoon with the girlfriend, find out there's a slug in her brain, and then a while later wind up hanging out with some strange chick who's got Cheetah DNA floating inside her bloodstream. You don't do this every Friday?" He forces a smile. "The main thing, though, is not letting it get to you. That's how you keep a clear head." He glances down at the snoozing cheetahs. "But, this might not be the best place for a heart-to-heart..."

Brit arrived a few minutes later at the Bear Caves cursing his lack of foot wear. “Why the hell did they make it a gravel path” he moaned, leaning against a wall rubbing his soles. He looked around. He was standing on a wooden viewing platform that overlooked the whole enclosure. The enclosure itself was large with ‘mock caves’ dotted around to provide shelter for the animals. Trees and other forest plants were planted in the enclosure to simulate the bears natural habitat.

Brit judged how to go about acquiring a bear morph. He could probably climb the fence that surrounded the viewing platform. But the drop from the platform to the enclosure would almost certainly break at least one of his legs. He looked around, there was a staff entrance to a building nearby. That must be where they keep the bears when there not in the enclosure, Brit reasoned walking over to it.

The door was locked, not that Brit expected it to be open. He looked up, the roof of the building was flat, maybe there was a skylight. He couldn’t climb up the smooth side of the building, but maybe Britamander could. He removed his brand new t-shirt and shorts and threw then onto the roof. He crouched in the shadows naked in public for the second time in as many minutes. Note to self he thought focusing on the salamander, next time you see Alice learn how to morph clothes. She had never had this trouble when she had morphed.
Britamander climbed up the wall a few minutes later still feeling queasy from watching himself morph. The strange thing was this time he’d had no trouble with the things instincts. He had just pushed them aside and completely burying them with his own consciousness. He shrugged and didn’t think anything of it deciding that was just how morphing worked. Once he was on the roof he morphed back and shrugged his clothes back on.

The skylight was open and Brit dropped through landing on a table. OK I’m in. Now where do they keep the keys…

The Brit - mander could not find any exhibit keys.  This must not be staff room.  No, from moving about, this appeared to be a treatment room. Locked drawers were marked with long names that were likely medicines, even the refrigerators had locks.

Moving about, he did locate the staff room next door, marked 'Staff room, staff only'- without any sky lights to speak of.

He also heard a rattling sound from inside the building.  Turning, he spotted an area for snakes- a heat lamp was hooked up to a digital thermometer that extended into three cages. Glancing into them, he spotted a black snake, a brown and gold banded snake- and a camouflaged with the dessert rattle snake.

There were no signs here, he supposed the zookeepers knew the species.

"Hey, I'm thinking I'd like to go nab that rhino around now," Reece says to Christina as he makes his way out of the Cheetah exhibit. "Hopefully the big lug will be asleep." He blinks in the evening lights around the park as he tries to read the signs in the darkness.

"Okay." Christina replied, falling in step behind Reece.  "I'll come with you. If one's not supposed to swim without a buddy, walking into the heart of Africa should be on a buddy system too."

The Heart of Africa exhibit was right beside the Cheetah exhibit, largely open. Most of the fences were slanted so the animals couldn't jump out.

Reece hops on top of the Fence and looks down. The fall looks survivable, but the barbed wire will take a bit of leaping. He finds himself suddenly grateful for each scissor-kick his coach ever made him do. A large rhino sleeps several meters out, with elephants and the like not far off. An oxpecker quietly feeds on the sleeping Rhino. Reece leaps over and lands on his feet, semi-gracefully. A startled mosquito buzzes up and away as he lands.

As slowly and carefully as possible, he makes his way towards the rhino and the oxpecker. He hunches down low, sure to take the oxpecker from behind so he can sedate it before it squawks and wakes up the beast. He breathes deep, almost meditatively as the thing's DNA leaks into him. As Reece lets go of the bird, the Rhino snorts and its eye lifts open slowly. It snorts again, this time more angrily, and begins to stand. Reece scampers and puts a hand on the thing's massive side, and its eyes glaze over and it slips back to the ground.

Kasey takes her hand off of the leopard when she finishes acquiring it, and picks up Torrence's shoes. She quickly moves out of the exhibit, wedging one of the shoes in between the door and the frame as she moves out, to stop it from locking again. She moves next to Eddie, and looks at Torrence, "Let's do this. In and out, right?"

"How the hell did i go from bears to snakes!! Brit sighed looking at the snakes in there glass boxes. He climbed back up onto the table and jumped up to the skylight. His fingers closed around the edge of it and with a grunt he managed to pull himself back up. He jumped off the roof landing ungracefully in a headge. Now how the hell am i going to get at those bears.. Brit thought to himself spitting leaves

Christina was a bit more hesitant than Reece.  She watched  his jump with apprehension and watched as he acquired the rhino and the other.  She finally turned and paced off a few feet, then ran to follow after Reece. she landed in a tumble on her rump, but was grateful nothing immediately tried to eat her.

"Let's get out of here before he wakes up again," Reece murmurs to Christina as he quickly but silently scampers away from the dazed giant. He scales the gate with some difficulty, scratching his arm on the barbed wire. He winces, and looks at it as he heads towards the others. It doesn't appear to be gushing blood, but it smarts something wretched.

Alice: I shrugged my shoulders at Brit's insistence of doing everything alone and wandered off to see who else was nearby.
Hearing Reece's voice, I follow it to the Rhino enclosure in time to see him trying to scale the gate. I offer my hand to help him down, while in my mid-twenties alter-ego form.

"I just got here." Christina protested.  Not particularly eager to remain behind, she hurried after him.  She snagged the sleeves of her sweater, ripping them - and the skin underneath.  Hissing in pain, she hurried after Reece. She muttered angrily. "We can just jump in, but kill ourselves getting out. Where to now?"

Reece winces. "Sorry, sorry- didn't mean to rush. I was getting worried about the others. You know they'd be lost without us." As they continue walking, he sees someone on the horizon. "Who do you reckon that is?" he asks.

Alice: "Hmm... A guard, maybe?" I mused in answer to Reece's question. I squinted to see if I could make out the person's features.

"That or it's one of the others. Can you tell whether or not they're wearing pants?" Reece asks.

Torrence slipped her arm under Eddie's armpit, hefting him up a bit.
"Yeah. In and out. Quick as we can. You guys ready?"

She looked over to Kasey and Eddie.
"We can do this."

I shrugged my shoulders to indicate I could not tell from this distance. "Probably best to stay hidden and not let whoever-it-is notice US until we're sure it's not a guard..." I added, for good measure.

"We're on a dirt road." Christina pointed out. "Surrounded by fences leading to dangerous animals. Where can we hide?"

Reece: "Here, I'll morph the guard I got hold of earlier in case we get caught," Reece suggested. He began to picture the guard's face- middle aged, Grey, slightly portly. He shrunk down a few inches and his gut sagged outward. His skin paled from deep brown to pasty white, and he felt his shoes grow slightly too large and his shorts slightly too tight.

Alice:  "See if you can find one of those staff-only service entrances nearby... They usually hide them quite well, but they give access for the staff to feed the animals." I suggested.

Reece closes his now-Grey eyes for a few moments, and then opens them, looking unamused. "I guess park directions don't count as 'instincts,'" he grumbles in his now-reedy voice. He makes a displeased face. "I sound so weird..."

"You also look weird." Christina offered helpfully. "But, we'll act suitably in awe of your authority."  For her part, she stepped behind the guard.

Guard-Reece smirked. "Thanks," he says, before rolling his eyes. He stands up straight, trying to make athletic clothes look as adult as possible. He puts a stern look on his face and begins to make his way towards the figure up ahead.

Alice: I winked at Reece and Christina as I 'morphed' into one of the female guards, keeping the same clothes I was already wearing. This was by no means my first visit to The Gardens, so I'd met most of the staff already.

GM: The other person quickly revealed himself to be another guard, carrying a flash light.  He approached Reece with confidence, indicating Christina and Alice with his flash light.

"What's going on there, Miller?"

Reece grabs Christina by the arm. "Found this one monkeying around near the Africa exhibit after hours. She nearly woke a rhino. By the time I got her out of there, she was so nervous she threw up on me." Reece makes a disgusted face. "Had to pull some old clothes from my locker."

GM: The guard frowned, lifting the flash light to shine at Alice's face.  "I could have sworn that you..."

He trailed off, frowning.

"Threw up on you?" The guard redirected, frowning at Christina.

"Goddamn kids, can't keep hold of their lunches these days," Reece said, shaking his head. "Kid'll go rampage all about a bunch of elephants like it's nothing, but the moment she sees an authority figure it's spew city."

Alice: I wondered what the guard had intended to say about my doppleganger I was pretending to be... I smiled politely at him and shrugged, saying nothing yet.

Christina scowled and shot a glare at the guard, but made a show of wiping her face with her billowing sleeves, much of them were raggedly torn.

GM: "Alright. Well, I better get back to the rounds, you know what a bastard Marder is these days."  The guard snorted. "I mean really, only stupid kids want to get into see the animals. Which is dangerous, young lady-" He shined the light at Christina, who shielded her face.

The guard blustered on with inflated importance, lecturing about the dangers she narrowly avoided, thanks to Miller.  The guard wound down after a minute and started to walk off, signaling to 'Miller'.

'Miller' signals back, and waits for the guard to get well out of earshot before bursting out in a tiny fit of chuckles.

Alice: I waved after the guy as he left in a gesture of farewell.

"Spew city?" Christina repeats with a snort that could be laughter or derision, looking after the guard.

"Sister-city to vomit-town, population: you," Reece grins as he begins to demorph. He flexes his arms as the guard's flab solidifies back into swimmer's muscle. He lets out a contented sigh. "And hey!" he says, "it looks like my arm's healed!"

Alice: I smile at the banter between Reece and Christina. "Well, that seemed to go ok, eh?"

Christina scowled at her own torn sleeves and scraped arms, but darkly decides "Morphing a cheetah to heal these scratches probably isn't a good idea. Hey, whats that?"

She indicated the bag Alice was carrying.

Alice: "Hmm? Oh, this thing?" I glanced over my shoulder at the backpack I had on, shrugging. "Survival-bag. I rarely go anywhere without it: It contains everything a girl needs to stay alive and un-yeerked. Please don't ask me to show you everything in it though, it'd take too much time that'd be better-spent acquiring morphs." I answered, semi-evasively. Some of the stuff I'd pull from the backpack only existed as a hologram, after-all.

"Hey! Clever!" Reece says. "Speaking of supplies, when we're wrapped up here, I'd rather if we could discuss the matter of morphing clothes. When Sandra's de-yeerked and the day is saved, I don't want to have to explain to her all the time I spent running around in the nude with strange women."

Christina snorted with laughter. "On top of all of the odd things you'll have to explain, she'll be jealous of the other girls of our.. uh... our thing here. Which has yet to be named.

Speaking of time better spent getting morphs.." Christina glanced back towards the zoo.

"I agree- what else are we after?" Reece asks. "Do you still want to nab some Chimp DNA?"

Alice: While we were chatting, I quietly 'demorphed' and 'morphed' my 20-something alterego again.

"Oh yeah," Christina nodded. "- big time. And no, before you ask- not just so I can swing through the trees reenacting Tarzan. Come on."

She started heading back into the zoo proper.

Reece follows. "If you're not going to reenact Tarzan, I don't much see the point."

Alice: I let loose a polite-sounding giggle at Reece's humor.

"Well, there may be some screeching." Christina relented, smiling as she continued. She slowed as they neared the bear and primate area.

"Here we go. Chimpanzee.  Please don't bite my finger off."

Christina murmered, moving in closer to the Chimpanzee exhibit.
