Corliss looks up from his beer and narrows his eyes at The Director.  "I didn't exactly want a private moment with Terenia, if that's what you mean," he says irritably.  He looks around the bar again, keeping his voice hushed.  "We did notice the Imperial activity, but they don't appear to be a threat to us, as long as we keep a low profile.  Seems that they're looking for someone else, then.  Makes me anxious, to be honest, but let's be thankful for small favors."  He plays with the glass of beer, pushing it along between his hands.  "Terenia's fine," he adds bluntly.

Temrash noticed it was getting darker outside, and keiko hadn't come back yet.

"I'd better go make sure Keiko isn't lost. Should have been keeping a closer eye on her, but I got distracted." He said to the group. He got up and walked out the door, going a bit wobbly from the drinks. He headed for the trees and climbed one of the taller ones, then searched for Keiko while jumping from tree to tree.

Elayne frowned thoughtfully, watching the bar. "Maybe you need to find an Aaron. A charismatic figurehead you can direct." She turned her eyes on Trey and said in a firm tone, "But you must be strong to keep him from running away with the power. And you need a clearer idea of what you want to accomplish. No one will risk their lives for a vague hope."

She sighed and nodded. "Your dad's ship is as good a place as any to start looking."

~Keiko~
Keiko had wandered a little farther and then finally gave up. She sat down beside one of the trees and pulled her knees up close to her. She wondered if she should try again, but she gave up on the thought as soon as it came up.

Temrash came to rest in a tree, but hadn't seen Keiko. Hork-Bajir eyesight wasn't their greatest sense, and dusk had fallen.

"Keiko!" He yelled, hoping she would hear him. "It's Temrash! If you're around, call out to me!"

He looked around some more. He didn't think she would be in too much danger, as he had never seen much wildlife on this rock. However, dangerous things sometimes dropped in unexpectedly.

Fletcher didn't reply to what Gaz had said. He just sighed and walked over to sit at the bar by himself.

"Rum," he said as he placed money on the bar.

What could he do to make things up to Gaz and Morgan? Especially Morgan. Odysseus Morgan had always been someone that Fletcher admired, even when he still worked for the CG.

Gaz nodded at Temrash. "Hey," she said.

"We're all on the run," Morgan said, "everyone on that ship is trying to stay away from the CG in one way or another. Why did he have to hide it from us?"

"I'm sure he had his reasons," Andromeda said, "I can't say for sure since I've only just met him. Perhaps he was afraid that people might react the way they are now."

Salem leaned over to scrutinize Silver's crystal. "I haven't seen this before, exactly," he said after a moment, "but it's similar to certain Ennish stones, or even an old model Pemalite crystal, or... actually, you'd be surprised how many useful things look like crystals for no apparent reason." He glanced up from the crystal and raised an eyebrow at her. "Do you know anything else about it? Maybe what it can do, or what it's used for, or what it's made of? Chances are a crystal like that could serve a useful purpose for something."

~Silver~
"I never exactly tried to use it. DIdn't know I could, honestly." she said with a slight frown as she looked back down to her crystal, thinking it over.

~Keiko~
She was huddled against the tree when she heard her name called. It was a ways off, but her feline ears had picked it up well. "Temrash?!" she called back. She stood, but stayed by the tree looking around. "Temrash, over here!" she called.

Temrash heard Keiko to his right, and went that way. He caught sight of her by a tree, and climbed down to meet her.

"Hi there. had a nice nature walk?" He said. She had likely gotten herself lost, but he wouldn't get on to her about it. "what do you say we go back to the bar before it gets too dark?"

((Oh, jeez. Sorry for the sudden disappearance, guys. I went to upstate Michigan with the family and my phone spent the whole weekend lying to me. It said I had all of my bars and a 3G connection but my internet would NOT load at ALL. It was the most frustrating thing ever. But never fear, I have returned!))

Trey nods, looking a bit more encouraged, "Yeah. I don't think finding people on Earth to follow would be that hard. The former Yeerks aren't exactly happy with their current situation. Most've the grubs don't know any better, but the older ones, the ones 'round my age, they're starting to realize what we're missing out on by being thrown to the side like garbage. I could do it." He nods again, fervently. His voice has lost a bit of its nervous edge and taken on a new passion, like a freight train that is slow to start but soon barreling down the line, out of control. "I just gotta figure out what to do about the true Yeerks, the ones stuck on the Homeworld. And the Feds won't like it at all, they'll send the NAT after us for sure. And then there's the Andalites to worry about. They've got the Homeworld locked up pretty tight...." he trails off again, the train derailing slightly as he tried to work out all these small details in his mind. He looks significantly younger with his face scrunched up in such away, his eyes knit tightly over his eyes, and his two front teeth showing ever so slightly as he gnaws on the side of his lip.

Terenia decides that the best she can do now is wait. Her anger is gone, and the hole inside her keeps demanding attention that she refuses to give. Instead she commands the computer hatch to remain closed, responding only to her own voice commands. She then goes over to the console and ensures that her communications display is on and sets her computer to search out any signals that might be the Mirage. The last thing Terenia wants is to be caught unawares once more, although she has no idea what she will do if the ship returns. As she works she tries to avoid thinking about Corliss, about how comfortable she felt with him, and how alone she felt now. She keeps pushing his hurt expression from her mind, but it kept floating to the surface as though the memory had a will of it's own.

<Girls, mate,> Mike mutters.  <They'll always give you an 'eadache.>

"It was as much your idea as mine," Corliss says under his breath.  "And I don't know whether to trust in good news anymore."

<We'll find out soon enough, won't we?>

"I hope so," Corliss sighs aloud.  "It's time for a vacation from this place."  He continues internally, <Work never looked so appealing, actually...>

"Nah. We've actually been to this place a few times. Not that I really have....any idea why we keep coming back to this dump." Keshin raises an eyebrow, thinking. "It's actually just about the worst place to relax that I've ever been to. If it isn't the exceedingly random dangers this Bar spews out, it's the insults the patrons throw at us."

Keshin then blinks, noticing something a little bit odd. Corliss...is still here. At the Bar. Doing nothing. Keshin groans. <Oh my god.>

<He hasn' left yet, has he? Doesn' he have our "order" to fill?>

<Yes.>

Keshin says, "Hold on," and then stands up, wandering over to where Corliss is sitting. He leans on the Bar with one elbow with a fake casual smile and says, "Hey, Corliss. Old buddy old pal. You know...we couldn't help but wonder why you aren't out getting us more stuff. A couple months supply of expensive medicine doesn't come from nowhere, you know."

"A figurehead could work, if he were properly duped," states Mar quietly at Trey. "But judging from what you said, the entire situation is pretty difficult. Even if you managed to change things on your own chunk of dirt you still have the other half to deal with. And I can't really picture you fighting off a horde of Andalite ships."

"The think I want to know is what in the world you think you're doing this for," states Mar with a shrug. "You're not really a Yeerk, though you are being treated as one. Do you want to start their Empire again? Heartlessly enslave the human race? Go ahead, be my guest. But boy...I'm saying that not all of these people want the same thing. You may have trouble uniting them."

Corliss looks up at Keshin.

"What?" he says blankly.  "Oh, yeah, don't worry about it, Reven knows and we've got you covered.  We do have two months, don't we?  Christ."

Keshin rolls his eyes and nods. "Yes, yes you do. But it's just kind of disconcerting seeing my current meal ticket loafing around doing nothing. Speaking of that..."

Keshin raises an eyebrow. "....nobody who's entered this place has left. Like...at all. There's at least one person who planned to spend five minutes here and now has probably been here longer than a week. Is it just me, or is there something really screwy about this Bar?"

Keshin gestures at the Bartender. "I mean there's that guy for one. And the never-ending supply of food. And the fact that nobody knows where or when this is. How does Myitt know how to get here? I just wandered in."
