(Ugh, had to use note pad for this. Evil, evil note pad. But it's all good. :) I'm so close to the end of season two.)

Chapter Thirty Six

I landed in a park and walked a couple blocks to Primatech Paper. Leonie was sitting on a bench waiting for me.

“Finally.” She smiled and hugged me. “So, what do we do now?”

“I think we’re early. We need to wait for Adam and Peter to show up.”
I had already explained to her earlier what was going to happen today. I was a bit nervous because I really, really didn’t want it to end  up being my fault that the virus got out.

I pulled my phone out of my pocket, and dialled Matt Parkman's number, knowing that he was going to come here with Nathan a bit later on. There was no answer. Damn. Oh well.

“Do you have a plan?” Leonie asked a few minutes later.

I snapped out of my daydream. “Not really.” I admitted. “Not a very good one, anyway.”

"Great." My sister said.

"Adam and Peter should be getting here soon" I said, glancing at my watch, although I didn't know the exact time I expected them to show up.

"Over there!" My sister whispered, grabbing my arm. We glowed for a second, and then turned invisible.

Adam and Peter were walking into a warehouse part of Primatech. We decided to follow close  behind. Adam was talking to Peter, but a few  seconds later Hiro Nakamura was on the floor,  seemingly unconscious. I had pretty much forgotten about that until now.

"Alright." I said as I rushed over to Hiro, trying to wake him up.

Finally he woke up, a few minutes later.

"I think I have an idea. Hiro, in a few minutes, Nathan Petrelli and Matt Parkman will be out the front. Go and meet them, alright? We'll go towards Adam and Peter."
I explained a little bit more of my plan, and filled in Hiro who was a little confused, and  hadn't met my sister before.

Hiro walked away towards the exit.
Me and Leonie ran to catch up to Adam and Peter as they were already gone.

We caught up with them in a hallway a couple floors down.

"Take care of that, will you?" I heard Adam say. I turned a corner and there they were. We were back to being invisible, so there was no chance we'd be spotted.

Peter threw a electricity bolt at a panel on the wall, and the alarm stopped.
They were talking, but I couldn't hear them. I  didn't want to get too close just yet. Peter  might accidentally hear my thoughts or  something, and that would not be good.

I felt like a stalker.

Peter was concentrating on opening the vault door. I was tempted to yell out "Don't blow a fuse, buddy."

The vault was open, finally. "Go. Get the virus." Peter said, breathing heavily.

Hiro appeared suddenly, in front of the vault. "I must stop you, Kensei!"

Adam brought out his sword, but Peter telekinetically slammed Hiro into the wall.

"He's going to keep at it, Peter. Unless you do something about it."

I nodded to my sister, and we got out of hiding, but we were still invisible.
Leonie's hands glowed with light.

Peter was starting to choke Hiro with his telekinesis.

"Peter" I said in a deeper voice than usual.
He turned to look over at us, but did not see us. I didn't think he could use two powers at once, so our thoughts would be safe for now.

Leonie pushed her hands out in front of her, her fingers splayed. Light shot out of her hands straight at Peter.

"Yahh!" He shouted, because he was temporarily blinded. Hiro crumpled to the ground, released from the telekinetic hold.

"Be careful." I warned Leonie.

"I know." She said.

Peter turned to us, now he was using his mental abilities. "Claire. Leonie. Why don't you just show yourselves. I'm trying to stop the virus, don't try and stop me."

He pushed his hand out in front of him, making me and Leonie fly backwards. We both stood up quickly, although the landing did hurt a bit.

She prepared to send another light beam or two towards Peter, but Matt appeared and took over, using his mental abilities to try and stop Peter.

I used my super speed to rush straight past Peter and into the vault. Hiro had already teleported into the vault. He was having a heated conversation with Adam, and Adam was holding the virus.

I rushed past him, and grabbed the virus out of his hand. I was holding a glue stick, I replaced the virus in his hand with it.
I was quick enough to replace it, but not without being noticed. I put a hologram around it, so even if Adam looked at it, he would be looking at the virus.

He whirled around and looked at me, but he could only see the wall behind me. "What?"

Hiro said something in Japanese, before grabbing Adam's shoulder and teleporting away.

I walked to the door of the vault, just as Peter and Nathan came inside, with Matt and Leonie not far behind. I turned off the hologram and held out my hand.

Chapter Thirty Seven

“Is that it? The virus?” Nathan asked.

“Where did those guys go?” Matt asked.

“They’re gone.” I said. I gave the virus to Peter.
“Thanks. I saw what this could do. I almost..” Peter shook his head slightly.

“Peter, you’re not responsible for what might’ve happened.” Nathan said.

“What I don’t get is, you’re a mind reader. How the heck did you not know what Adam was planning to do?” I asked, raising my eyebrow at Peter. “I mean, I’m not a mind reader and I… nothing.”

“You came here to destroy the virus, so finish the job.” Nathan said.

“Alright. Stand back.” Peter said as he used his radiation ability to destroy the virus in the palm of his hand. It turned to dust, and just blew away into the air.

“What the hells going on? Your mother, my father. God knows what else they’ve done, how long are we going to have to clean up their mess?”

“Matt, you’re right.” Nathan nodded. “We’ve been used, manipulated by these people. Well it ends, right here. No more secrets.”

“So what do you wanna do?” Peter asked.

Before he could continue, I interrupted by muttering “Press conference.”

He looked at me suspiciously for a second, like he didn’t hear me correctly and said “We take this all public. Expose them for who they really are. I’m going to call a press conference. Matt, I need your help. Make sure everyone listens to me.”

They started to walk out the door, and I took a deep breath.
“Nathan.” I said.

He turned to look at me as we walked. “I need to tell you something, and its important.”

“Yea? What is it?” He asked.

I searched for the right words in my head, but my brain wasn’t helping me very much. “Something.. bad is going to happen to you. I, uh, I…” I shook my head.

Matt looked at me, as if he was reading my mind. “Nathan’s going to get shot?”

I nodded. “Yea. Listen, if there was ever a time you had to trust me, its right now.”

“What are you talking about?” Nathan asked.

“The press conference. Near the end of your speech, you get shot.”

“How could you possibly know something like that?”

“Well. I guess its time to reveal this. I’m from the future. In a normal world, that might seem kind of crazy. In fact it still seems crazy. I know its crazy. But listen to me, do you want to go and get shot? Get killed?” I watched his expression, he looked very confused. “Didn’t think so. Let me help you.”

“What do you suggest we do?” He asked.

I explained my plan to them, they thought I was insane. But I was lucky that Matt and Peter were mind readers, because they knew that I believed in what I was saying.

We drove to the police station, Nathan got everything ready for the press conference.

“Listen to me, Claire. If I don’t get shot… I’m having you committed to a mental hospital.”

I grinned. “That’s fine with me.”

“Alright. I’m ready when you are.” Leonie said.

I glanced around me, no one was looking. “You ready, Nathan? In about three seconds, I’ll be you and you’ll be me, thanks to my hologram ability.”

“Sure. Go ahead.” He said, handing out a piece of paper to me. He had written down a speech he was planning on saying at the conference.

“Thanks.” I concentrated on the holograms, making the air around us shimmer as the hologram formed around us, making us look like we were morphing into each other. Kind of weird, but of course it was going to be weird.

“What about our…” Nathan paused, as he noticed the difference in his voice. “Voices..”

“That’s right. I sound like you, you sound like me.” I said in Nathans voice. So creepy.

“I still don’t quite understand.” Matt said. “Couldn’t Nathan go up there, and your sister use her forcefield around him?”

“Well we can’t exactly cover that up.” Leonie replied.

“But.. with your hologram..” Matt began.

“This way is much easier, must you try to confuse the situation even more, dude?” I laughed. “Let’s go do this thing. Now Leonie. Your job is so important, okay, that forcefield HAS to protect me.”

She nodded. “No problem.”

“Okay, it’s time.” I walked out of the hallway, and into the room for the conference. I stepped onto the podium, with the others. Matt and Peter stood next to me, and Leonie and Nathan stood behind us.

“Good afternoon.” I began.  “Most of you have no idea who I am. My name is Nathan Petrelli, and I was elected to Congress in the State of New York. Seems like a long time ago. I lost my position. I lost my brother. I lost my family. I'm sad to say that I lost my way. But while I was gone, I had the chance to see the world through newly-humbled eyes. Witnessed amazing things.” I continually glanced down at the paper, I really didn’t want to make a mistake with anything I said.

“I've seen ordinary people among us, trying their best each day to be heroes. These ordinary people... like you, like me, are capable of extraordinary things. You have no idea... how extraordinary. But there are other people, organizations, who don't want you to know the truth. I, myself, kept secrets. But last year... something incredible happened to me. And it changed my life. At first, I was afraid. But I'm... I'm not afraid anymore. I'm here to tell you the truth.”

I was getting scared now, worried the force field wouldn’t hold. I paused for a second, but knew I had to go on.  “I have the abili…”
*BANG BANG* Two shots came out of nowhere, just like I knew would happen.

The bullets hit the forcefield and fell to the floor. I covered them up with the hologram. I noticed that instead of acting like I had told them to, Peter, Matt and Nathan were just staring at me, shocked. I rolled my eyes, putting a hologram around me of them rushing about crazily.

I fell to the floor, I was unharmed, just acting.
I looked around, seeing the mirror image of myself, Nathan under disguise. His mouth was wide open, his eyes were wide. He couldn’t believe it, I had told the truth.
“Let’s get a paramedic up in here!” Someone shouted.
Everyone had gone nuts! People were yelling, completely shocked and confused.

“Matt, do you see anyone?” Peter looked at me. “Who’s responsible for this, Claire? Tell me who shot him!”

“Let’s get this situation under control first. I need to make a hologram of Nathan leaving.  Leonie, you still have the forcefield up?”

“Yea. You’re lucky it’s soundproof.”

“I’m sorry about this, but I HAVE to do it.” I grinned and threw my arms into the air. “YATTA! I did it!”

"I'm still having you committed to a mental hospital." Nathan finally said, once he had gotten over the shock of how close he was to getting shot.

[Mmkay, finally an update. Thanks to Duff for the help with ideas. I think some of this is a bit confusing. Anyways, I am teleported to the same time in episode 4, where Future Peter gets shot, if you were wondering.]

Chapter Thirty Seven

Everyone was still freaking out over the shooting.

“Someone call an ambulance!” Someone shouted.

“We have to get out of here before paramedics come.” I said urgently.

“Who shot him? Who did it, Claire?” Peter demanded.

I shook my head. “I don’t know.” I stood up on my tiptoes and looked over the crowd, seeing a figure walking away.

“I’m going.” Peter said, running away after the shooter. He could have teleported, but no of course they never think of these things.

“Me too. Stay here.” I said to Nathan and Leonie as I ran through the crowd with my super-speed. I easily passed Peter as he ran because I was way faster.

I was shocked to see Peter in front of me, walking down the hallway briskly.
“Peter?” I said, stopping to look at him. His eyes went wide and then closed. “No!” I lunged forward and grabbed his arm.

“What the?” I muttered. We were now in the middle of a quiet street, I had no idea where we were.

“Why did you follow me?” Peter said.

“Why did you shoot your brother?” I countered.

“I had to.”

“So, are we in the future? I mean, I read that future Peter might be the shooter, but I didn’t really think..” I trailed off.

“I know about you Claire. In the past, you told us everything. About the TV show, about everything. At first we all thought you were insane.”

“Do you still think I’m insane?” I asked with a grin.

“Well, the short answer is yes, except, you had proof.”

“What kind of proof? What happens to me in the future?”

“You sure ask a lot of questions. Come on, let’s get moving.” He said, starting to walk away. I followed close behind.

“So.. tell me what happens to me.”

“You and your sister go home. To your real home. Your sister didn’t come back, something about wanting to stay there. You came back though, and you brought back something I never thought I’d see.”

“What? What did I bring back?”

“Two DVD box sets and a graphic novel. Oh and a t-shirt, poster, 4 magazines and a couple t-shirts.”

“Holy crap. I brought all my Heroes merchandise back? Whoa.” I laughed.

“You weren’t supposed to follow me.” He said. “It’s dangerous, people are after me…”

“Where the heck are we, anyway? Can you show me the future? I mean, it’s not like you don’t have time. With your power, you have all the time in the world.”

“Alright. I know the exact time I should take you to. But we have to be careful, because if my memory serves me correctly, I meet up with another future Peter around this time.”

“Time travel is so confusing.” I murmured as we teleported away.

Now we were in an alleyway, it looked like New York. “New York? How far in the future are we?”

“Four years.”

“Wow.”

“Now, we need to get out of this spot. People are after me, no matter what time I’m from.”

“I’m confused…” I muttered.

*BLAM BLAM* I heard gunshots nearby.

“Oh crap!” I yelled. A younger version of Peter was running our way, and another version of future Peter was shot dead on the ground. I didn’t understand, couldn’t Peter heal?

“I told you. This future is dangerous.”

“If right here is dangerous, then WHY DID YOU TELEPORT US HERE?” I yelled.

Younger Peter looked at both Future Peters with a confused look on his face.

“No time for explanations, just start running!” I yelled as bullets whizzed by us.

We ran into the Haitian, so the younger Peter knocked him out with a discarded metal pole.

“Who are you, what’s going on?” Younger Peter asked, shoving Future Peter. “I was just talking to myself from the future, and he just got shot, so how the heck are you here too?”

“It’s a long story involving gay werewolf smoochies?” I grinned and shrugged at their confused faces. “I think you teleported us to the worst time ever.”

There was a bit of an awkward silence, before I broke it. “So. I want to know where I am in this future.”

“Peter. You have to go to Mohinder, talk to him, okay? He’ll be at Isaac’s old loft.”
Future Peter said, grabbing my arm and teleporting away, leaving younger Peter alone.

“Thank the Ellimist for that. It was so confusing with Peter’s running around all over the place.” I said.

“Right.. You wanted your future, well here it is.” He gestured towards the house in front of us. It was my house. I was suddenly worried and didn’t want to go in.

“I’m kind of worried. Who am I in this future? Am I a good guy? Villain?”

“For the most part, you’re a good guy. But you’ve done some things you aren’t proud of.”

“Like what?” I asked.

“You killed someone. It was an accident, but it made my brother.. Made him different.”

“So.. what do you mean by different? What’s happened to Nathan?”

“Nathan? Oh I mean Gabriel, of course.”

“Que? Wait a second. Sylar is your brother?” I burst out into uncontrollable laughter, for no apparent reason. “Omigosh. That’s funny. And you’re being serious, too. Wait a second.. I killed someone? I need to know who.” I went back to being serious.

“Elle Bishop. You and her, you were fighting, she tried to use her electricity on you, but you manipulated water from a nearby pool, and she electrocuted herself to death.”

My eyes went wide. I never really liked Elle anyways, but to be responsible for her death? That was beyond insane.

Someone landed from the sky in front of us. I glanced up at him, confused.
“Did I not mention that pretty much everyone has abilities now?”

I stared at the blonde guy standing in front of me. He looked about 19, 20 years old. “Is that?..” I wondered.

“Claire! You look different. What’s going on?”

I just stared at him blankly, wondering who the heck he was. He leaned in and kissed me on the cheek, hugging me. I looked towards Future Peter for help but he just smiled to himself.

“Whats wrong?” The guy asked.

“Um, don’t take this the wrong way, but.. who are you?”

“Oh. I should have guessed, because you look younger and everything. It’s me, Claire. It’s Lyle.”

“Lyle Bennet? The hell? What are you doing, flying to my house?”

“I got powers a couple years ago. I’m going to assume you’re from the past, right?”

“Yea. Wait a second.. are we dating?” I asked.

“Yes.. We have been for a while..” He replied.

I hit myself on the forehead with my palm. What in the heck? Me and Lyle Bennet? That’s insane.

“I think I want to go back home now.” I said to Peter.

“Hey, you wanted to see your future..” He laughed to himself. I was surprised, since he had been totally serious until up to that point.

Meh this chapter sucks... I just wanted to hurry and post so I can get to the good stuff of season three since I've been going too slow with this.

Chapter Thirty Eight

“Yea. I want to go back.” I said.  Being in the future was so weird.

“You can’t tell Nathan, Peter or Matt about me.” Future Peter said.

“I won’t. Why don’t you just take me back to a few seconds before I follow you or something?”

“It doesn’t matter. I’ll just have to trust you. I’m a mind reader, I know you’re not going to tell.”
We teleported away, back to the police building. We were in a bathroom.

“Time for me to go.” Future Peter said, putting his jacket and hat on the ground and teleporting away again.

A few seconds later the present Peter came through the door, with Matt and some cops just behind him.

“Where’d he go?” Peter asked.

“Did you get a good look at him?” Matt asked.

“No, I wasn’t fast enough.” I lied. With two mind readers next to me, I felt a little nervous. Don’t think about it, don’t think about it PURPLE MONKEY DISHWASHER!

I heard a bunch of yelling and loud voices. Nathan ran over to us, and he wasn’t in disguise. “A little help?” He said.

“Ah crap.” I said, realising I had forgot about the hologram. “Matt, Peter, you think you can convince these people with your mind powers?”

With their psychic abilities, they managed to get all the reporters and cops to believe that Nathan was really shot.

“We need to go to the hospital.” I said. “Matt, you can convince the doctors that Nathan is going in for surgery and whatnot.”

“Alright.” Matt said. “Let’s go.”

Nathan was staring at me. “How, how, how did you know that I was going to get shot? I need to know, and are you sure you don’t know who did it?”

“I.. I’ll explain it to you soon, I promise.” I replied, and followed Matt.

As we drove to the hospital, I called Claire Bennet to tell her the situation.
“Hello?” Claire Bennet answered.

“Hey Claire, its Claire.” I said.

“Is Nathan alright? Did he get shot? Did you save him, do you need my blood to save him?” She bombarded me with questions.

“Whoa, whoa, slow down. Nathan’s fine, I saved him.” I glanced at Nathan, who still seemed a bit freaked out. “Do you want to speak to Nathan?”

“Not right now… Maybe later…” She replied.

“Alright. Well we’re almost at the hospital, so we can cover up this mess, I’ll call you back later or something.”

“Sure. Bye.” She said. I hung up the phone and got out of the car, now that we were in the parking lot of the hospital.

Matt made the doctors believe that Nathan was in surgery, and I created a hologram in one of the rooms of a surgery happening. It was hard work, since I didn’t know what a real surgery would look like besides the stuff I had seen on TV and in movies.

A couple hours later, Matt used his power again, so the doctors thought that Nathan had recovered, amazingly. Matt made the doctors believe that the bullets had passed straight through Nathan’s body, missing vital organs with not too much damage.

Peter disappeared a while later, I don’t know where he went, but unfortunately I was stuck at the hospital, having to keep up holograms.

I called Claire again, explaining a bit more about what happened because she wanted to know, since Nathan getting shot was being replayed over and over on the news.

“Hang on just one second.” She said after a while. “I just need to put the phone down for a second.”

“Okay.” I replied.

“I won’t be long.” I heard a small noise as she set down her phone.

I heard some rustling, and then Sylar’s voice. Yes, Sylar’s voice, saying “Hello Claire.”

“I bet you’ve been…” Sylar said.

Claire was back on the phone in a flash. “Sylar’s here!”

“Claire, where are you?” I asked hurriedly.

“I’m upstairs, at home.”

“JUMP OUT THE WINDOW!” I yelled. I heard noises

I heard the phone hitting the floor. I heard a crash and a bunch of noises before the line went dead. I tried calling back, but the phone was off. Crap.
I had read about this happening, I knew Sylar would get her ability, but I didn’t really know if Claire would live or die.

I walked back to Leonie and Nathan to talk to them. “Alright Leonie, you don’t have to stay here with me. You can go home. Where did Matt and Peter go?”

“Something about the police station, I dunno.” Leonie shrugged.

“You’ve got the money to go home, right?” I asked.

“Yea. Barely.”

“You need to hurry up and learn to fly.” I said with a laugh.

“Yea, I do. Alright, bye sweetness.” She hugged me and walked out of the door.

“So technically, Nathan, you don’t have to be here.” I said.

He was lying on the hospital bed, looking bored. A nurse walked in. Ah crap.

“Time for a blood test.” She said, taking out a needle. Oh crap, I didn’t think about this, we needed Matt or Peter to convince her to go away.

Peter walked in, with great timing. I jumped up and hissed in his ear. “Use your power, convince her to go.”

The nurse walked out and I breathed a sigh of relief. “Where’s Matt?”

Peter glanced around and shrugged. “I don’t know.”
There was something about him that seemed suspicious, he acted slightly different. It reminded me of Future Peter, but I chose not to say anything. He looked at me and nodded slightly.

“Better call Mom.” Nathan said.

“The doctors already did. What are we gonna tell her?” Peter wondered.

They both looked at me and nodded at each other. “Claire.” Peter started. “How did you know he was going to get shot?”

“I’ll explain it to you if you really want, but you won’t believe me.”

Peter glanced at Nathan and then back at me. “Come with me for a second.” He walked out of the room, so I followed close behind.

“It’s me again. Future Peter.” He said.

“Yea, I figured that out already and I haven’t said anything about you either.”

 “Good.”

“What did you do to Matt?”

“I sent him away.”

“What? Why? Where’d you send him? You didn’t send me away, and I know all about you!”

“Would you rather me send you away to Africa as well?”

I shook my head. “No way.”

“Peter!” Angela Petrelli’s voice called out.

“Mom.” Peter said.

“What have you done with Peter?” She asked.

Peter looked confused for a second. I put a hologram around me and walked past them, staying close enough to hear their conversation.

“Where did you think you inherited your first ability from? Your dreams, I dreamed you’d come. I saw what you’d do. Shooting your own brother for God’s sake..”

“I had to. And if you can see the future, then you should know that it didn’t work. Thanks to this girl named Claire, and no I don’t mean Claire Bennet. Where did she go, anyways?”

They kept talking, but I wasn’t paying much attention for a while.
“Now where is my son?” Angela finally asked.

“Don’t worry. I put him in a safe place.” Peter replied, walking away.

I was so confused. Watching a TV show is much more easier than being in one. I had no idea what was going to happen next, I only knew small things about season three.

(I went off in a tangent in this one... I couldn't figure out what to do at this point in time, so yeah. This leads on to a part of Heroes I really wanted to be in, so here goes. Enjoy.)

Chapter Thirty Nine

Future Peter walked away from Angela. I walked a little faster to keep up with him, and when the hallway was free again, I turned off my hologram.

“Yo, Peter.” I said, shaking my head because I used the word yo.

“You again.” He muttered.

“Yep. I’m curious, what did you do with the real Peter?”

“Forget about it.” He said. Once we were outside, he shot off into the air. I had no idea where he was going, but I just assumed New York.

I had to get home anyway, so I checked out the map I had in my pocket, and flew off in the direction of New York.

Most of the time, when I flew low, I created a hologram of birds around me so no one would see me. But since it was too hard to keep up both powers and fly fast, I just didn’t worry about it.

I stayed high up in the clouds so I wouldn’t be too visible.

I saw signs for Hartsdale, NY, when I started flying lower. I was just about to put my hologram on when I flew into a phone line. I was lucky that I didn’t get electrocuted badly, I felt only a small shock.

“Yaaaahhh!” I shouted, landing on a trampoline in someone’s backyard.  I was thinking about how lucky that was, but when I hit the trampoline I jumped again, causing me to fall off the trampoline and into the dirt. Ouch.

I got up, holding my head and limping slightly, glad no one had seen that because of the humiliation. Just great.

Now why was Hartsdale so familiar to me? I thought for a few seconds before it popped into my head.
“Of course! Primatech!” I said to myself. I jumped over a fence to get out of the backyard I was in, and continued to walk.

I didn’t think it was likely that I would run into Primatech, so I figured I’d be safe.
I flew off into the air, trying to get higher so I could get back home quicker. I wasn’t flying high enough, and I could see Primatech in the distance. Bugger. I could even see a person pointing up at me as I tried to get higher.

Finally I managed to get high enough. I tried to go faster but by now I was really tired. I checked the sky around me, and got a punch to the back of my head.
Yes, I was flying, but I got punched.
I fell slightly and spun around. Who the hell had hit me?

WestNathanPetersome oneelsewithabilitie s My thoughts jumbled together. It couldn’t have been them..
“Where are you going?” A female voice asked.

“Away from you!” I shouted back to the lady in front of me. She was about 30, with long brown hair and she was wearing professional looking clothes.

I realized what she was doing, she was trying to herd me lower to the ground. But I realized it too late. She was obviously a company agent, and they always have “one of us, one of them”. I should have seen it coming but I didn’t.

Her partner on the ground shot me with a tazer gun. I started to fall, and it all went black when I hit the ground.

I blinked rapidly as I woke up. I looked around me. No no no no no. I was at Primatech. And wearing a grey t-shirt and grey pants. Last time it was white. I was in a lab room or something.

“Not again!” I nearly shouted.

“You’re awake!” It was the lady from before. I attempted to flick my lighter but it wasn’t there. Curses!
“Yes, we took away your lighters. It seems you could be dangerous with them” She said.

“I could be dangerous without em!” I shot back.

She wasn’t alone, but I didn’t think the doctor would be much hassle. He was holding a needle full of my blood which he must have taken from me while I was asleep.

I used my super speed to get to the door, but it was locked. The lady would have the key! I sped past her, trying to grab the key from her. She stepped away from me, really fast. What the hell?

I stood still and faced her. “So.. you mimic the powers of others, is that it? No wait.. you were flying without fire..”

“Nice guess. Animal mimicry is my ability. I just need to watch as many animal documentaries as I can, and I can do what they can do. Fly like a bird, be extremely fast like a cheetah.”

“Well whoop-de-doo.” I said sarcastically. I sped towards the doctor and grabbed the needle from his hands. I released the contents onto the floor and filled it with air instead. I grabbed the doctor by the shoulders. “Let me out of here or I’ll kill this guy… Air does kill people right?” I threatened.. sort of.

“No Claire, it probably wouldn’t.” She said.

Well, unfortunately I wasn’t smart enough to know whether it would kill or hurt the guy, and I didn’t really wanna kill the guy, so I was kinda screwed. I took a deep breath and instead of injecting him in the neck, which I had the needle pointed at, I injected him in the arm.

He yelled and fell down to the ground, grabbing him arm. He didn’t look like a dead person, just a highly ticked off person. Oh. Crap.

Nice job Claire. Really fantastic. I mean, I couldn’t have done better myself. Shut up brain! I argued with myself, and the animal mimicry lady just grabbed my arms, pulled them behind my back and marched me out of the room. We walked through Bob’s office, the door was open and Bob was sitting there.

“Which room do you want this one in?”

“Oh, it’s her. The one who shot me!” He said in his annoying voice. “Level 3.”

I already knew that Level 5 was for the most dangerous people. I wondered how you got to that level. How did the level system work? I mean.. what made dangerous enough for Level 3? Maybe there wasn’t enough room on Level 2? Who knew.

Well, I guess I deserved Level 3, considering I shot Bob who runs this place, and threatened to kill another guy already. I decided to try something new. We were on Level 3 now. I concentrated on the air around me, and manipulated it. It was hard, but I was trying to suck the oxygen away from the lady who was pulling me along.

Sure enough she started to choke and she let go of me. Ha!
“I’ll show you level 3!” I said. Her eyes closed and she fell to the floor.
I checked her pulse, she was alive, probably just unconscious. Good. I let her breathe normally again, and set off down the hallway.

I continued walking through the halls, marveling that there were no guards. What kind of security was this?

I saw a room nearby, with a young woman sitting there looking kinda sad. I wanted to help all these people who were trapped here, but they could end up killing me or something! I went over to her door and tried to press the buttons on the electric lock. Nothing was happening. I looked at her sadly and shrugged.

“I’ll try and come back for you!” I heard activity coming down the hallway. Ah crap. I put a hologram around me and stood very still.

It was Elle. Looking for me, obviously. I walked slowly backwards, and unfortunately into the fire alarm. Dammit. The alarm was really loud, and Elle turned to look at me. She didn’t see me of course, but she shot me with electricity anyway.

“Argh.” I said as it hit me. My hologram shuddered and then disappeared. Dammit again.
