(I think the "he" that's watching from miles away isn't Rory. Why would she hang back so far as to be miles away.)

"So are we heading in a somewhat straight path? What are we using to make sure we don't walk in circles through these trees and snow drifts?" Chad asked.

Jay flopped down in the chair. He thought for a while before answering.
"Unless you mean the sound system, probably not".

The Headmistress
"I need you to take a look into the future and I will give you an event. Me finding this system." she then established a mental link. It took a while but she focused enough until she said telepathically "<Look into my future and tell me what you see through this link you should be able to see something>"

Jay nodded and closed his eyes. Since he was a child if he focused in on certain person, object or event he could see their future. But his visions weren’t perfect, because the final decisions regarding the future he sees have to have been made at the time he sees them. If the decision hasn’t been made it makes the future extremely hard to read. But things without decisions like the weather were easy for him to read.

He looked into the Headmistresses future “OK because you asked me here all the choices you make lead you to the Shiva System. Which by the way is really selfish, because it changes the entire earths future along with it. Including mine! I was only just starting to reform mine into something I liked!!”.
Jay stopped ranting and recomposed himself. “Sorry force of habit. Anyway, although that choice will lead you to the system, there are several paths you could take. Errr but only two that don’t lead to your death. So do you still want to know how to know where it is?”.

The Headmistress
"The Shiva system is essential to the defeat of the yeerks I need to know where it is." she stopped for a moment. "It's location is only known by a few and the few who do learn its location must have a high probiblity of death in ten years it is systematic to prevent information from falling into the wrong hands."she paused again longer this time  "So if I die it will not matter. I have already written out my last testiment and will so if you tell me where it is you will have provided everything for us. Not just me the entire school and the inhabitants of this world. So tell me what you know."

“Well miss, as long as you aware of the ramifications…”. Jays eyes glazed over as he searched possible timelines for a location. He sat there staring into space for at least a minute before snapping back to reality. “The Shiva system is currently on a forested island just off the cost of India. Sorry that’s the best I can do, I’m a Clairvoyant not a Seeker”. He stretched and broadcasted the image of the island to the her mind. “You should be able to find out which island from that image. The bigger problem is the infiltration. As I said before there are only two possible choice-paths that don’t lead to your death.

“Option one. A small team infiltrates the island and hopefully getting passed the systems guards without detection. It’s a long shot but hell, maybe they’ll strike lucky.”. Jay declined to mention that he would have to be on the team if it was to have any chance of success. Travelling to India would seriously mess up his plans of staying out of this war. In fact this was one of the largest choice-paths he had ever come across in his own time stream. And he didn’t like the way it was looking….

“Or option two. Use three of four powerful psychics  too attack the guards whilst another uses the distraction to steal the system. But this one has the added bonus of a death. But as I said, not yours”. Jay shuffled his feet uncertainly. If he told the Headmistress who would die he would pollute the choice she was about to make.

"And now if you don’t mind miss I’ll be off”. Jay got out of the chair and walked towards the door. Maybe if he walked fast enough he could change the future. But he knew either way he wouldn’t be walking out of this office that easily.

The Headmistress
She let him go. "<For now>" she thought to herself "<Let him be>"

Subvisser two
"Sub-visser only not much longer to go." the Hork-bajir lackey said. The Subvisser asked calmly "In units of feet please." the Hork-bajir went pale "sixty subvisser" the Hork-bajir winced waiting for an outburst of rage as the Subvisser made a frustrated sigh. "I must order more equipment if we are to get anywhere human machines freeze far too quickly in this climate. Tell the rest of the workers that they will be rewarded with rest if they dig another ten feet by the end of the day but," he added menacingly "if I catch any dawdling they will be immediately killed."
"<The Karth and the Nithen. The Carrot and the stick as the human saying goes.>" the host body replied. "<Yes I suppose. You were right you can not rule by fear alone. Anyway why do you help me?"
"<Because I can do more for the people of the universe by doing so.>" "<How?>"
"<I am helping you right now. Also if it weren't for me a Horkbajir's head would be rolling on the ground.>"

(Well my first impression was that we left Rory behind to ask the monkish types about the system while everyone else went ahead.  So I played played my trump card facedown, besides, she's noncombat anyway.)
I may be drunk, Miss, but in the morning I will be sober and you will still be ugly.

(um okay at this point professor Alexander (the chee) is going to land in a helicopter right in frount of the group. You can use him if you like)

He touched down in the middle of nowhere right in front of the group. "Judging from the stunned looks on your faces. You expected you'd have to defuse that bomb alone."

"Only slightly.  Generally our fantastic headmistress leaves out small details.  And you would be...?"  Sierra said with a bit of sarcasm, though still wary.

Sierra quickly composed herself.  "Oh.  Right, of course."  She then decided to give up the act.  She let out a small laugh.  "Sorry.  I've only been in your class a couple of times."
