Cody gasped as the twins collapsed, then built a complete gravity barrier around Sierra, a beam fired at it, and was reflected by the warped gravity. He fixed it into the ground, and fired another one in front of Chad, blocking him from fire.

Chad saw figured in the distance, shrouded by falling snow. He heard Cody yell for him to get back, but he was undecided. He stopped to gather his thoughts. He crouched down behind a rock covered in snow, and watched. there were three of them, he knew. In the back of his mind, he knew he had done the kind of rash thing he had meant to stop doing. But people had been coldly killed, and it set him off.
