I'm dropping in for the post. Let's see if our poor character can even remember the ship's layout. Just for the record...our internal map-making ability is bad. Really, really bad. XD So bad it took us like....five or six years of playing before we could read video game maps.

Sorry Scott, I remembered "The Hand" for whatever reason...probably comes from my abuse of the Wheel of Time books...The Children of the Light were a non-national army devoted to "The Light," and their most-zealous members joined "The Hand of the Light."  Basically equivalent to the Spanish Inquisition.  The head officer of the Hand was even called "High Inquisitor."  So somewhere in my mind, your "Light" mixed with my idea of those who would be in it to juxtapose "The Hand" in its place.  I'm perfectly okay with switching my references to "The Hand" back to "The Light."  But I was indeed referencing your shadow society with my posts.

That's actually kind of an awesome logic loop ^_^ Yeah, these guys pretentiously call themselves 'The Light in the Darkness.' It's that name that's stuck with those who know about them in the Empire at large, in spite of whatever their official designation is (I'd have to go find it).

I do remember that there was a memory scan done on Ossanlin that Xevec could look into, but that seems too easy and doesn't provide the opportunity for as much character interaction. I'm thinking maybe there was a glitch in the computer, and they didn't actually get anything recorded about recent events. That also gives something for Xevec to be suspicious about. What a coincidence that the computer just happened to not record the parts of Osanlin's leaving the Electorate and current plans.

I'm not sure if I want Xevec to be genuine about wanting to work with Efaen and try to be friends, or have it turn out that he doesn't give a crap about her because he still considers her Andalite enough. Given how much Terenia likes to see her characters suffer, she may vote for the latter. I am playing Xevec up as an Andalite racist, but I also intend for him to be a nice guy as well, so it's difficult to know how he would really feel about a pro rebellion Andalite.

Then again, maybe he himself doesn't know either, and that's what I should settle on for now.

I tend to write a character like this called Alastor, who ranges from an honorable racist dick to a guy who's nice and genuinely questioning the policies of his government. Should be interesting to see your take on it. ....although I wonder if only a person who hasn't experienced racism can take this position psychologically. :p

Also, post will be delayed due to the start of the Clinical Program. Should appear soon though.

Yay for character complexity! Xevec is nice enough to probably become less racist as he spends time with Andalites, if his own inner demons regarding trust issues don't get in the way. If an Andalite took a dracon blast for him, he'd be beside himself. Betrayed by a Yeerk, and saved by an Andalite. Cranial explosion eminent.

Basically, in your post with the bomb's reverberations down the hallway....does that mean that all the Controllers are now decloaked?
