Terenia freezes when she sees Salem. Definitely a familiar face, and not with good memories. Her lip curls upward into a snarl, and Esreth quickly jumps into control.

"Salem, right?" she says, scooting forward in her chair. "Long time, no see. Provided sanctuary to any murdering tureleks lately?" Esreth smiles brightly, but there is a bite to her smile.

Not sure if this is where I would/should post a character bio but since its the story I will, sorry if I'm wrong. I also posted in the OOC

Name: Connor NightHawk
Age:24
Race: Human with morph abilities
Description: Connor is 6'0 and about 210 lbs. He has dark brown hair with streaks of Blond from being out in the sun a lot, that he usually keeps tied back with a piece of leather. His eyes are grey and seem to see things about people or at the very least make them think he can. He wears a black leather vest with a hood, usually with no shirt under it. For pants he wears a pair of black cargo pants that he usually wears tucked into a pair of steel toed combat boots. He has tanned skin and defined muscles from all his time outside(see bio). His most distinguishing marks are his two full sleeves of tattoos, the one on his right arm starts at the shoulder with a few significant military pieces that he got when he served in the Navy, and it begins again his shoulder with conjis(sp) stating the different types of martial arts he studied and what degree he is now.His left arm is a dark depiction of good vs evil that extends from his shoulder to his wrist. He doesn't know why but they return when he demorphs.

Bio: Connor grew up in rural Wisconsin, on a farm with only his father and uncle as his mother had died giving birth to him. He spent his youth and teens until he was 18 working the farm while going to school, the work helped greatly improve his muscles and body tone. At the age of 18 he followed in his father and uncles foot steps and joined the military, the navy to be exact. He worked in intelligence gathering. After 5 years he left to pursue his dream of working with federal law enforcement. It was at this time that me me an Andalite who told him about the war, and gave him the morphing ability. From then out his life changed as it had when he was in the military, the only problem was this time he really didn't have a lot of people that had his back, for all he knew any at all. It took him 6 months just to begging to start this guerrilla war. He didn't know how much of a dent he put into the Yeerks but he hoped it was enough. Now two years into it he finds himself at the GESB not knowing where he is, when he is or how he got here.

Connor popped in outside of this building, not really flashy but not non descript. He did not know where he was or how he had gotten there. The best thing he could think to do was walk inside and try to get some answers. He opened the door and was taken aback at the sight, so many people different speices all mingling together, this was not something he knew about, at all. "Umm excuse me, can someone tell me where or what this place is or how I got her here," he called out apprehensively.

~Ossanlin~

Ossanlin watches the bar patrons with his stalk-eyes.  He notes Terenia clearly trying to avoid him, and Salem slinking back in looking a bit worse for the wear.  Another strange human enters the bar clearly confused about his whereabouts, most-likely another controller.  It's unlikely a human would be able to find the bar without extraterrestrial aid of some sort.  And the feral humanoid follows Tobias in in an unlikely turn of events, apparently the two were not going to kill each other after all.  He watches silently, not engaging anyone in conversation.  Serid must still be aboard the Mirage, and Claxter must be out feeding or enjoying the fairly fresh air.

___________________ ___________________ ___________________ ___________________ ___________________ ________

~Rathien~

Rathien shakes his head and follows Tobias in.  He certainly wasn't responsible for others' marksmanship ability.  Besides, the armored humanoid had hit him.  If he'd been using some sort of energy weapon instead of an archaic slug-thrower, the damage would likely have been much worse.

Rathien surveys the bar, seeing many familiar faces (including both the controller and strange armored human) sitting around the bar, and a few unfamiliar ones.  He glances at the door as another human walks through, asking after his location.  He raises an eyebrow and shakes his head.  The guy isn't unattractive, in fact pretty much every humanoid in the bar has potential.  He almost follows Tobias, but decides against it, favoring a trip to stand next to Terenia.  He orders a drink and gives Terenia a winning smile.  "So, Empire or Rebellion?"  He continues to grin.

___________________ ___________________ ___________________ ___________________ ___________________ _

~Raile~

Raile shrugs and takes another drink.  "They have to drop the shields in order to move, but it depends upon the situation.  Environment, heavy cannons, The Force, or sometimes we simply retreat."

Esreth jerks visibly at being addressed by the stranger, and she turns away from Salem, not quite ready to let Terenia take control again.

"Those aren't the only two options, you know," she says with a small smile, trying to be polite despite the fact that he clearly puts her on edge. "And I'm not likely to go around blurting my affiliations out with strangers unless they give me a good reason to. Although, I suppose you'll be hard pressed to find a true Imperial soldier here."

She raises her eyebrows a little. "Just a hunch, but I take it you affiliate with neither."

Jocun tensed up when Rathien stepped into the room, and hardly noticed the new guy. He pulled out his dracon, and held it close to his lap. "We're not going to start this over, are we?" He asked Salem quietly, but pointedly. He raised an eyebrow when Esreth talked about "true" Imperials. What was he then?

<Eh, you know what she means.> Simon said. <And don't you get trigger happy, or you'll wind up starting the very thing you don't want Salem to start again.>

Thor looks directly into Gene's eyes and says, "Of course I can." His voice is steady and monotone. He has an aristocratic british accent not unlike a butler. He continues, "There are microphones located on the suit I inhabit. Furthermore,  there are sensors I have access to that allows me to read your lips. I am currently processing over six conversations in the vicinity as we converse."

Parker lowers his hand and grabs his drink. Thor stays exactly where he was, now standing on nothing. Parker calls out, "Okay Thor, yes or no will be fine. No need going too far into detail." Parker really didn't want everyone knowing that last bit of detail.

Thor bows his head slightly and apologizes, "Of course sir." He looks back to Gene and says, "Yes."

Parker hangs his head shakes it. When Tobias enters the bar followed by the Ildari. He furrows his brow, confused. Judging by the tone, it was Esreth who approached him. Then the Ildari approached her. At the same time, a newcomer entered the bar. He was covered in tattoos. He was too distracted to really observe them. He looked to the bartender and asked, "This the dinner rush?" The bartender just looked back flatly.

Parker leaned over and asked Tobias while nodding toward the Ildari, "Is he gonna play nice?"

Salem narrowed his eyes as he glanced back and forth from Jocun to Parker. Were they acting here, or legit? Still no way to tell for sure. After a moment, he shrugged and said quietly, "I think we're okay for now. We just had a few differences we needed to work out. He and I have a bit of a history," he said, and looked at Jocun. "It's a long story." He wondered how bad he looked. The morphing had healed his injuries quite nicely, but he felt exhausted an extremely frazzled.

He began rummaging through the pockets of his cloak, which was currently draped over his arm, and raised his voice a bit to answer... Terenia, it seemed. That was less than thrilling. Things weren't as tense between them as they'd been earlier, but she was obviously a long way from accepting. Oh well. Might as well play this up a bit.

"Hello again, Terenia," he said. "Nah, the only tureleks I've met recently, I should probably be looking for sanctuary from." He looked pointedly at Rathien, smirking, as he said it.

He finally managed to pull his persona scanner from his cloak pocket- it was a device resembling a remote control. Both it and his hand were red with partly-dried blood from inside the pocket. With a sigh, Salem picked up a couple of napkins and did his best to wipe off both the scanner and his hands. After a moment, he seemed to give up- the scanner was mostly clean, but his knuckles remained red. He deposited the crumpled napkins on the bar counter.

He turned his attention back to the scanner- he fiddled with it for a moment, then pointed it at the man conversing with Thor and clicked a button, causing it to trill. He clicked it twice more; once at the newcomer who'd approached Ossanlin, and after a moment's hesitation, at Thor.

Thor's sensors picked up the scanner as it was being drawn. He couldn't tell how it worked unless he was able to get a part of himself in there. He simply resolved to blink out the very moment he was being scanned. It would be nanoseconds that he needed to successfully dodge the reader, so it wouldn't register visually that he had indeed turned off and on again. If the scanner was persistant, then Thor's hologram would continue to blink for every scan detected. If the scanner had hit his hologram, it should only read that it was mereley a visual projection. Thor knew no real onformation of consequence could be gleaned from a successful scan; but he didn't know this foreign scanner, and didn't want to take any chances.

Parker nodded, he sat back and took a drink of his water. He lifted his helmet off of his lap and replaced it back on the bar. He didn't want to interject in any of the other conversations. Suddenly Thor looked at Parker. Parker ****ed his head and put his helmet back on. Thor spoke up inside Parker's helmet, <<Sir the new patron to this bar has an interesting marking on his person. Parker cut his external speakers off and asked him, "What is it?" Before he could get the word "it" oit, a picture of the man showed on his heads up display. It was of him walkinf past Terenia and the Ildari. Thor enlarged a section of one arm and isolated a tattoo. It was a ranking insignia of the NAVY.

Parker's eyes widen, "Huh, Nice catch."

"Well just don't start blasting at him again when people are around." Jocun said. "I don't know about a dracon upgrade. I don't have any specific ideas of what I might want right now. Though an invisibility device might prove useful. Our scientists haven't done much in the way of personal invisibility devices."

Terenia's eyes widen a little. "He's a turelek?" Esreth asks Salem, then immediately rounds on Rathien, turning the question on him. "You're a bounty hunter?"

<<Okay, I'm ready to leave,>> Terenia says flatly. <<This is more than enough.>>

<<Right, because every single turelek in the galaxy is out to get you,>> Esreth reasons.

<<They might be.>>

She rolls her eyes, but says nothing else.

"Jeez," Gene breathes. "I never thought I'd meet a little talking holographic man." His eyes are as wide as dinner plates.

He sits back and mulls this over thoughtfully, his eyes tracking to Terenia at her seat, as a comfort point.

Thor replied, "I've never experienced so many others so unfamiliar with artificial constructs, we both seem to be having new experiences." He gestures over his avatar and mentions, "I chose the visage of the Norse mythological being mostly to inspire those soldiers I interacted with. We are in a time of war, and it helps to have a warrior at your side than an 'Alfred' I believe I was referred to once by my last Captain. It seems my speech pattern matches that of a fictional butler that attends to a Hero of some reknown."

When Esreth questions the Ildari, Parker snaps his attention to their conversation, looking in their direction. He keeps seated as they are standing almost right in front of him. He re-activates his helmet's speakers and waits to see how the scene plays out. He wants to investigate this sailor; but being a bounty hunter, Terenia just may become this Ildari's new target. Parker scrolled through the text of previous conversations Thor kept track of and noticed the small interchange previously had by those two. He was interested in her. Possibly trying to confirm her identity and take her. Parker tensed slightly, though nothing visibly changed about him as he sat. With his helmet now on, he put his glass of water on the bar.

Garreth nodded, "I haven't had that much experience with fighting droids. My experience is just with astromechs. Their shielding is not so advanced as that. Not that it has to be."

~Ossanlin~

Ossanlin swishes his tail lazily over his back as the strange human approaches.  He turns his main eyes on the man as he speaks.  <Well I suppose that depends.  Are you an Imperial supporter or a rebel?>  His tone of thought is without malice, but his slightly glowing sky-blue eyes tend to have a piercing quality about them.  He continues staring at the new human, waiting for a response.  Not that he'd kill the man if he was being controlled by an Imperial, but he certainly would not provide aid should that be the case.

~Rathien~

Rathien shrugs.  "It seems to be about the only two choices for a Yeerk unless they happen to live on your Homeworld.  Seems you need either an Imperial insignia or a Rebel affiliation to get your palps on Kandrona."  He ****s his head, still smiling toothily, his fangs clearly visible as Salem speaks.  He puts on an innocent look and shrugs again.  "I prefer Hand of Fate, but I've been known to make a living as an assassin.  Not that I'd kill such a pretty thing as yourself...or should I say 'someone as pretty as your host'?"  He leans against the bar counter, signaling the BT for a renewed beverage.  "That's assuming you even have a bounty on your head."  He flashes his eyes at Salem before returning them to Terenia again.  "And I'm not the only one here who's skilled in the Ending of Dreams."

The BT brings his drink and he smiles again, taking a sip of the strong liquor.  "I'm affiliated with whomever I wish to be affiliated at the time that I'm affiliated with them."  He runs his tongue over a fang before continuing.  "Rathien'd'ilarianiil fen'Mirwindrierien or'Elienal sen'Ildiar, but you can call me Rathien if you want.  I've seen you here before, but I'm afraid I never got either of your names..."
