"Yeah she's in the rebellion. Kind of funny, but that's how life goes sometimes. I don't suppose I have strong feelings either way. I guess I'd like to have seen Temrash get in, but that's likely just bias since he's a friend of mine."

(reminder: Julian is like a Minotaur, but part horse instead)

Julian woke up suddenly under a free with no real recollection of how he got there. He guessed it was related to the amount of alcohol he had consumed. He took a deep breath and ran a hand over his short cut mane then scratched under his chin.

Slowly, with a hand against the tree, Julian made an attempt to stand up. By some miracle, he didn't go crashing back down. With one hoof in front of the other, Julian slowly walked back into the bar. He sat down in front of the bartender. For once he was glad this fellow didn't talk.

"Some water, if you'd be so kind. And you wouldn't happen to have something for a headache back there would you?"

As luck would have it, the bartender did. Julian showed his appreciation as he set is money down and swallowed the medication.

"Maybe some coffee as well."

"Well, good luck with that," Myitt says, waving a hand. "Just make friends with the Skrit Na, and keep away from Imperial scout cruisers, and you'll be fine." She shrugs. "I guess."

She glances at Illim. "Are we sticking around to watch more fireworks?" With a nod out the main viewscreens, she paces up to his chair and leans against its back.

Parker nodded, "Well good for her. How'd they go along with accepting a Yeerk with an unwilling host?"

"Ossanlin turned the girl Human again. As far as Temrash knows, Efaen made an agreement to not be infested, and with Terenia Human, she wouldn't be able to sneak into Efaen's head. Of course neither of us knows the situation now. I'd find it hard to believe they're doing worse over there."

Al listened to the conversation between Zoshonel and Parker with some interest, and little to add. Before long, he noticed the half-horse creature heading towards the bar, looking like he'd had entirely too much to drink.

"Parker, Draconian, would you excuse me for a bit?" he said with a smile.

He followed the strange alien to the bar and sat down next to him. He ordered a pint of a strong, rich, ale-like substance he was familiar with. A few moments later, the bartender set the heavy metal tankard on the bar in front of him with a dull thud. He took a sip, raised an eyebrow as he looked into the tankard, then shrugged and took another.

Still staring straight ahead, he spoke to Julian, "Hell of a day, eh?" Turning towards the man, he held out a hand and smiled, "Name's Al."

Salem continued to peer into the trees. Where was Rathien? Even knowing what direction the hunter was coming from, spotting him in this environment wasn't easy.

A bit of movement lit up a small area of his display briefly, and so slightly he wasn't even sure he'd seen it at all. When he looked closer, though, he could see... that was pretty clearly Rathien. Wait... that was pretty clearly Rathien already drawing a bead on him...

Salem dodged to the side at the last possible moment. The tiny, unsecured corner of his cloak that hung down caught the wind and flapped out beside him as he moved; the Entroper's shot managed to clip the very edge, causing part of the fabric to be torn and ripped apart in the resultant explosion. He was thrown headfirst to the ground, his head bouncing off a rock with a sickening crack.

Stunned, he did his best to roll and scramble to his feet, more out of instinct than any ongoing thought process. His ears were ringing and his head was spinning, and dust kicked up from where the entroper's shot had hit the ground behind him was making it difficult to breathe. He glanced down at the rock his head had struck and noted that it was a thin, flat rock, that had broken clean in two. He felt a dim satisfaction- better the rock than his skull. But... he could already feel a warm, wet trickle running down his scalp from the impact point. Wasn't there something else...?

Oh, right. Rathien. Rathien could see him. Maybe coming out into the woods here wasn't a good idea. Without people around, the hunter wouldn't hesitate to kill him.

The thought was enough to make Salem move. Unable to clearly see Rathien through his swimming vision, he fired two shots offhandedly towards the tree he'd been in. He activated his hover boots and began 'skating' backwards in the direction of his forest trap, somewhat less steadily than he should. Thanks to his damaged cloak, a brief flash of random color would occasionally emanate from his side.

"And maybe if you're lucky enough to find the supplies you need and avoid the Empire, we'll meet up here again," Illim shrugs to Tamora. Seems to happen more than you'd expect." He turns his gaze towards Myitt with a small smirk. "Isn't that right?"

He wanders over to her, lowering his voice a hair as he addresses her question. "I dunno, should we be getting home?"

"I understand, sir, and I appreciate your concern and willingness to shield me from unpleasantries... and worse," Serid murmurs, turning to follow Ossanlin up the ramp and into the ship.

"Please do not interpret my questions as ingratitude. This is what I want, War Prince: to be as useful as possible in this war. Of course I wish to have my body restored to me, not only so I might fit in among Andalite ranks again, but so that I can fight with natural weapons," he insists quietly, folding his hands behind his back as he stands straight-backed. "I suppose I am simply impatient. I have spent a long time among Yeerks, of which only one of which was sympathetic and helpful to our cause, and I wish to make up for lost years."

Myitt smiles at Illim. "Yeah," she says lightly, touching his arm. "This place can be as fortuitous as it can be dangerous."

She shrugs. "If they're all intent on shooting the place to hell, I'd rather we retired to someplace a bit, ah, safer."

Julian winced slightly at the sound of the thud. It would seem that headache stuff wasn't quite as fast acting as advertised. He finished sipping his coffee.

"Name's Julian," Julian said as he shook Al's hand "It's sure starting out as one hell of a day. With one hell of a headache. Can only imagine what Morgan would have to say."

Julian took another sip of his strong coffee. "So, Al, sure hope your day has been less confusing than mine."

Parker's head tilted to the side, "Ossanlin did? I knew he had some fancy enhancements when his fur goes silver; but restoring a person's body from a completely different genetic state is impressive. So if Efean was free; why did she end up in the rebellion as well?"

"Females aren't treated as equally as males on the Andalite homeworld, and she thought she'd be more useful with the rebels than with her own people. That's pretty essed up if you ask me, though on my world the gender relationships are opposites. female Draconeans are bigger than males, and any male dumb enough to push a feale around is likely to get mauled."

Tamora winces a little at the idea of more shooting. "I...I guess I should go, then..." she says, hefting the box and inching towards the hatch. She looks at Myitt over the top. "I don't know if I should be thanking you or not. You shot me, convinced my Yeerk to defect from the only place we've been guaranteed safety, made us outlaws with nowhere to go, and been part of both of our deaths in some other version of reality."

She scowls a little, looking very much like her sister. "Could you at least pass a message along for me, when you leave?"

Al smiled, "I wouldn't say 'confusing' so much as... well... obnoxious and dangerous. This place has a tendency towards blowing up, and sadly, I think I've been helping it lately."

He ****ed his head at Julian. He knew how rough it could be trying to function through a hangover, but it looked like Julian had something to help with the headache at least. A quiet conversation might help divert his mind for a bit until it really kicked in.

"So, you're with Morgan then? Family?" He smiled wryly, "You do look a bit like him."

"Not family, just old friends. We grew up together and went to the same university. I went into professional sword play and he decided to start a family and captain a ship. Sure hope he finds what he's looking for back home."

After another sip of coffee, Julian continued. "About the resemblance, there are a lot of folk like us in our 'verse. Called Myths by some. Unlike what Morgan and others were brainwashed to believe by the CG, we're not lab experiments. Just born different is all."

Myitt turns to Tamora, shrugging.

"Sure, kid. What's the message?" she asks, hooking her thumbs in her jeans pockets.
