Tamora's eyes widen when Claxter returns to the group, and she quickly drops her gaze, no longer interested in attempting to talk to Ossanlin. One Andalite she could, maybe, just maybe, handle. But two? No, she would need Zorish for that.

Her worries are distracted by a sudden booming noise that makes her jump a solid six inches in her seat. She looks around wildly for the source and notices that the door to the bar is most definitely no longer attached.

She begins to shiver a little. "This place is not safe," she whispers to no one in particular. She turns back to Myitt. "I need those supplies you promised, and then Zorish and I need to leave. I can't...I can't stay here."

Aya too is unable to prevent jumping at the unexpected boom of the door being blown outward, but she recovers much more quickly, swiveling her gaze to the only person in the room who is in a remotely defensive position.

<<Interesting,>> she remarks. He doesn't appear to be aiming the weapon near her, and she is a fairly quick draw, but she rests one hand on her Dracon nonetheless, shifting her tumbler of orange juice into her weaker hand as she observes the gunman.

"A bit overdramatic, don't you think?" she calls in his direction with a wry smirk. She makes no motion to get up, just sips her drink and watches him.

Claxter gave a slight nod of acknowledgement at Aya. He wasn't sure if he should act friendly towards her right in front of Myitt or Ossanlin at this moment, but there seemed no reason to ignore her. She was, at least, the first rebel he had seen that was actually friendly. Just so long as it wasn't fake. His attention was jolted as a loud noise came from the doorway. His tail tensed, and he brought his main eyes to the door as he quickly scanned the room. Al was gone, and Salem had moved. What were they up to?

He noticed Tamora mention leaving. Good. Less of Myitt talking to her about zorish, and More of Myitt talking to Ossanlin about Efaen. Besides, Zorish should leave anyway. even though him staying may save an alternate Efaen anyway, Claxter didn't care to be stationed on the same asteroid as him. <By all means, Human. I certainly won't stop you.>

Jocun jumped up, and he drew his weapon before he realised it was in his hands. He wasn't sure where the sound had come from, but he was pointing at the assassin. Only that wasn't where the dust was coming from. He must have been more tense than he thought. He lowered it, not seeing anything threatening.

Zoshonel tensed when he heard the sound. But nothing. "What was that about? No one rushing in to attack after blasting the room? Anticlimactic much?"

Parker noticed movement on his motion detector. He looked to where it led and saw a blur passing through the back door. He looked back to where the movement originated and saw Salem sitting alone. Al had gone, quickly too. Al had never moved that fast as he had seen before. There had to be some reason for it. With Salem's conversation with Al being over, he stood to go toward the booth. He took a step and Salem drew his weapon, set it, and fired it at the doorway. With Parker's improved reflexes and senses, he saw the whole event. After the implosion, Parker stood back. Salem was going to make a move; and he wanted to be able to watch Rathien as it happened.

Garreth heard the implosion and stood up, immediately drawing his saber and activating its blade. After the show that had just played out; Garreth wasn't taking anything for granted. He holds his blade to his side as he holds his free hand in front of him, defensively, ready to deflect any attacks. He looks to the two that had made the commotion before and notices a different man crouching. Garreth waits for the next move to be made before taking any himself.

~Ossanlin~

Ossanlin shifts his eyes to Myitt before moving his main eyes to Tamora as she speaks.  <Yes?>

Claxter returns at the same time and he notices Tamora dropping her eyes.  Suddenly he feels movement and whips a stalk-eye to focus on Salem and the destruction in the doorway.  He draws one of his Shredders, tail erect and ready to strike as he watches the situation.  He holds the weapon at his side, curious as to what might've spooked the trader.

___________________ ___________________ ___________________ ________________

~Rathien~

Rathien tenses as Salem draws his weapon and aims at the door, sparking an anti-gravity explosion.  He closes his eyes and shakes his head, smiling and allowing his muscles to relax...he relaxes insofar as a wolf ready to pounce relaxes, ready to dodge and draw on a moment's notice if necessary.  He drinks deeply of his miruvin, taking time to savor the flavor before swallowing.  He props an elbow up on the bar and faces sideways on the stool towards Salem, a silly little smile on his face as he props his chin on his bar-supported hand.  He crosses his ankles out in front of himself and watches in a relaxed manner.  Obviously Tobias wanted a rise...he wouldn't get it, not this time.  Not unless he did something more...threatening.

"Oh Tobias, just because you don't like a place isn't a good reason to start blasting holes in it."  He smirks, raising an eyebrow as he idly swirls the remaining wine around its tall tumbler in his free hand.

___________________ ___________________ ___________________ _______________

~Raile~

Raile feels a sudden rise in tension from the bar and then senses Garreth's readiness for battle.  He uses the Force to enhance his leg musculature and sprint-leaps forward at super-human speed.  He attempts to send a sense of urgency to Garreth to let the other know he is on his way and quickly.

As he approaches the bar, both of his saber hilts whip into his hands just as he lands outside, looking through the settling wreckage that had once been the door.  No heat damage, blunt energy damage perhaps, but vacuum damage as well.  He stands ready for combat, but leaves the hilts unignited, arms at his sides as he looks in for the source of the problem.  His eyes immediately land on Garreth in his ready stance, blade ignited.  A human is crouching on the floor, some sort of hand-held weapon in his hand, but nearly the entire patronage seems to be fully-armed and ready to fire.  He doesn't bother with words, knowing the other Jedi can feel his presence.  If Garreth does require his assistance, Raile's sure the other would certainly let him know.

Still shaking, Tamora turns her eyes back to Ossanlin, watching his stance with frightened eyes.

"Yeah, I should definitely go," she whispers, scooting out of the booth and standing. She doesn't move beyond that, though. In order to leave she would have to maneuver around the two Andalites and go towards the shots. Both seem utterly terrifying, so she just stands there, indecisive.

What would Zorish do? she thinks desperately, her gaze inexoribly drawn to Ossanlin and his weapons.

"Please don't hurt me," she says in a shaky voice, taking a step away from the booth and wincing, as though she half expects him to behead her then and there.

At first, Ewa thought she had never felt more confused.  How could Parker not know what she was talking about?  And then he removed his helmet and was.... human.  Well, human-ish.  Her Family still had final say on human portrayal, so he was still clearly sub-standard.... but just as clearly didn't think he was...  A moment later, he became distracted with something else happening in the bar, and she was grateful for the extra moments to try to disentangle all of her thoughts and conflicting information.  It's like he's in-character, but we're clearly not doing some kind of practice run, otherwise I wouldn't be here like this, and if he hasn't talked to me before and isn't to consult with me, then.... why would he be in character?  It just doesn't make sense.

She frowned up at Parker in confusion as he rejoined her.  Mouth open to ask, she suddenly reconsidered and pulled out a seat at the bar.  It seems like I might want some support whenever I work this out.  She was distracted again when someone.... almost familiar approached the bar not far away.  Parker was watching him.  Pretty, she thought, and half-remembered sensations seemed to float in the back of her mind.  Most of them involved fear.

Then there was a loud boom and the bar's door was torn off its hinges.

Ewa found herself out of her chair, ducked below the bar, a knife in each hand.  And she remembered.

Then she knew she had never been more terrified.  Or angry.

The angry part was good: it meant that, instead of hyperventilating on the floor, she elbowed Parker's leg--hard--to get his attention.

"Tell me.  Right now," she hissed, never taking her eyes off of Salem and Rathien.  "Where the hell am I and what the **** is going on?"

As Al approached Salem's ship, his mind linked with the ship's systems. The ramp lowered to the ground, the front wall of the ship slid downward, revealing a rack of what were obviously weapons, and a drawer in the wall popped open. A number of fist-sized, semi-spherical metallic objects, all glowing a dull blue, deposited themselves into the drawer seemingly through the ship's hull.

Al made his way up the ramp without losing speed, and looked into the drawer. There were a dozen or so of the objects in all. He darted back, into the back room/closet that Salem had frequently used to change, and stepped back out with a bag strapped to his side. He loaded all of the spheres into it, and then proceeded to also stuff in two bright orange cylinders from the front wall, muttering under his breath.

As he raced back down the now-closing ramp and towards the bar, his hologram handily hid the bag as well.

Salem rose, his muscles tense, and trained his weapon on Rathien. As he did, his left hand slid into his pocket under his cloak- after a few moments, he found the capsule he was looking for and, sliding off the top with his thumb, pricked his finger on the now-exposed miniature needle. The chemical within was a powerful, yet so far remarkably stable, stimulant- the same one he'd used to wake up his arm after Rathien'd poisoned it earlier. It would provide the equivalent of an adrenaline rush- in addition to his own, natural adrenaline rush- that should last a few minutes. After pricking his finger, Salem's hand snaked back out of his cloak and onto the side of his bulky pistol as a stabilizer.

Some portion of his mind took note of the reactions of the others in the bar. Parker seemed unphased. Jocun... trained his weapon on Rathien? Perhaps Salem had judged Jocun too quickly earlier. Ewa dove for cover- good instinct. One of the humans Salem had yet to meet, drew what looked like an energy blade of some kind- worth looking into later, at least. The two Andalites seemed to tense up- indeed, the whole rebel table seemed uncomfortable with this. There was a new girl who called him "overdramatic," though. Towards her, Salem shot a brief smile that was halfway between charming and mocking, but didn't say a word.

Ideally, Salem would simply lead this fight outside, but Rathien'd walked in too soon. Al wouldn't have his trap set up yet. So what was the best course? Shoot, and hope to take the hunter down? Not with this many patrons. They were just as likely to shoot him as the hunter, from what he'd seen, especially if he began firing inside.

Still, the tension in the room, the eyes now turning towards him... Salem could feel the now all-too-familiar rush starting. There was no way he could take the hunter one-on-one. Things were about to get fun. He just had to stall for a bit.

"I can't think of a better reason to blow holes in something, Ildari," Salem called across the bar to Rathien with a nasty grin. His right hand was steady, keeping his bead on the hunter, even as he reached down with his left and dialed the power back to a lower setting. He wasn't intending to blow chunks of the hunter all over the bar if he could help it. "And right now, I'm not much liking you. Hands up, my friend. It's over."

Parker didn't feel Ewa's elbow, as his armor was a Titanium alloy. Luckily for her, her strike never hit his armor. It rebounded off of his Energy shield, which glowed around his body like water's reflection, and settled to normal. Parker looked back and saw Ewa, ducked down. He knelt down, close to her level. He then saw Salem level his weapon at Rathien. He reached for his shotgun while answering her, "You're in a bar that's located in a universal nexus. A place where travelers from any place and time can go to relax and have a drink." Parker sets the barrel of his shotgun in his free hand and continues, "Now Salem was attacked earlier by the man he's aiming at now. This, I assume, is Salem's response."

Having given an explanation, he stood back up and faced Salem's target. He kept his weapon ready, but did not aim it. This was indeed Salem's fight; but he would be there as back up if needed.

Garreth was intrigued by the seated man's demeanor. He could feel a preparedness from him; otherwise he was relaxed. Garreth sees Raile at what used to be the door. He nods to him, grateful for his presence. He waits until Salem finishes his speech and calls out, "There's no need for this to take place here. Really, it doesn't have to happen at all; though if you are intent on fighting, it would serve the others better to do it outside." Normally he would had ordered a stand down; but he was far out of his jurisdiction, and held no authority here. He settled for being the voice of reason for the innocent present.

"Yeah, Salem. Did it have to happen right here and now? I know he attacked you, and I don't know why he came in here unless it was to taunt you, but this is not the place for a fight." Jocun said, agreeing with the other person. He had an energy weapon too, which made him wonder if this guy was from Parker's universe. Or were there multiple universes with energy weapons that weren't guns? Maybe he should commission a project to start trying to develop some.

Myitt tenses at the sound and the impact of the door's explosion, wincing at the force of the shockwave, at the ringing in her ears, splinters clattering onto the booth table behind her.

Her Dracon is drawn with shaking hands.

<<I'm getting too old for this,>> she murmurs, craning her neck to peer at the wreck of the front wall. Her head pounded from the deafening ringing in her ears.

<<You're getting too old?>> Tara complains. <<It's my ****ing body you keep ****ing up.>> In spite of the harshness of her words, there is no real malice in her statement; it's the usual dark banter.

~Ossanlin~

<I was not the one to hurt you before, Tamora, and I will not now.  Even if I wanted to harm you, I've no excuse for dabbling with timelines not my own...many would argue I've no business altering even that.  Either way you are not from my division of the Multiverse.>  He turns his main eyes on Salem and the drinker at the bar, stalk eyes watching everything else.  In a louder tone he speaks up.  <Haven't you tried to kill enough people here already, Salem?>

___________________ ___________________ ___________________ ______________

~Rathien~

Rathien's smirk turns into a grin, and before he can stop himself, he bubbles into laughter.  After a few moments, his mirth fades and he turns his smirk back on Salem again.  "Tobias, ever the flare for the dramatic only to be spoiled by the cheesiest line you can think of.  Some day you'll have to tell me how you've duped all these people into worshiping you.  I suppose you haven't shared any of the sordid portions of your past.  Do they even know you're as much of a contract killer as I am?  Ruthlessly snuffing out lives for your own profit?  Our kind is easy to hate, yet you make people love you.  I suppose they think you're just some benevolent merchant, sailing the stars with advanced technology that you're willing to dole out for exchanges of seemingly little value?"   He arches an eyebrow.  "That bit never gets old, hmm?"

He takes another sip of his miruvin before returning to swirling the liquid around inside its container.  "I don't suppose you told them that you don't even need this place to hop between different Universes?  That as soon as you've made enough of a mess in one, you merely run off to another leaving a trail of wreckage in your wake?  That you drag another, completely against his will, out of any existence he might achieve in one universe every time you do?"  He chuckles again, but this time it holds no mirth.  "Nothing is over Tobias...nothing ever is.  While I'm perfectly aware that all of these people are expendable in your eyes, in mine it would be worse than useless to bring them needless harm.  I'm inclined to believe that you agree with me from the way they all stand for you without question, so why don't we just play nice, hmm?"  He grins, still swirling the remainder of his silverish-clear drink in its vessel.

Jocun took in the information, though made no comment about it right now. He'd ask Salem later. Many people had skeletons in their closets. Right now he wasn't sure if he should continue to involve himself in Salem and Ildari's feud or not.

Parker stood his ground, as no moves were made just yet. The robed figure that was playing with the cylinder earlier ignited an energy blade from it. It was far different from his own, as it extended a single blade from the end, following the direction of the hilt; whereas Parker's created two blades from each end, perpendicular to its hilt. The robed man called for the fight to be moved elsewhere. Parker tended to agree, but he wasn't going to stand down for a moment.

When the Ildari, as Salem called him (more likely to be where he's from, from the way Salem spoke the word), called Salem 'Tobias', Parker 's eye lit for a second. So that was the name Salem had covered up when they first met. He heard all the things the Ildari accused Tobias of doing; but didn't change his stance at all. Whether or not what he said was true, it didn't change the fact that this man was no better than Tobias; and the Tobias wasn't the one who had shot at him earlier.

Garreth took in the new information spoke from the different men who spoke out. So the seated man had attacked that man earlier; and he's now trying to stop the attacks by ending the life of the attacker. According to the targeted man, an Ildari as the other (apparently named Tobias) had called him, Tobias wasn't a very reputable man. According to what Garreth was seeing, he felt agreeable to that statement. Though, to his own admittance, he too was no better. Garreth then labeled them both as Bounty Hunters in his mind. Not ones to take lightly, nor trust easily. If he had any dealings with either one in the future, he'd have to stay on guard. He awaited a response from 'Tobias' before he spoke again.

Not much time has passed at all before the splintered, wooden shards of the door begin to slowly move on their own accord. Luckily most of the door has remained in one piece, so rather than hundreds of tiny projectiles, there are only a few that squirm and push towards the open doorway, fitting back in on one another like some sort of complicated puzzle being completed by invisible hands.

Aya's ever-watchful gaze flickers between those involved in the conflict, but she stays well away from it. Not even close to your battle, she tells herself. Motion catches her eye, and she glances back at the booth of rebels, noting that Terenia has stood, and looks rather terrified.

<<Not Terenia,>> Aya says immediately, her dark eyes running down the length of the blonde girl's body, noting a glaring difference between the Terenia on base, and the look-alike here. <<Definitely not Terenia. How interesting. I thought her sister was dead.>>

<<Interesting, but irrelevant,>> Terliss murmurs.

<<But interesting,>> Aya reiterates, grinning to herself.

Tamora doesn't seem to understand most of what Ossanlin says, but she nods. "Thank you...I think." She advances another step, but hesitates, reluctant to move towards the front of the bar, where the tension seems highest.

"I don't...um..." She clears her throat, emitting a small squeaking noise. "I don't suppose one of you could...show me if there's a back way out?" Her gaze bounces between Ossanlin, Claxter, and Myitt hopefully.

<<Where do you plan on running, Tamora?  It's all forest and wilderness out there aside from the shipyard.  It wouldn't do for you to get lost on a strange planetoid.  There is a back door through the hallway if you really want to try your luck.>>  Ossanlin points to the hallway beside the bar leading further back into the building.

Raile watches serenely as the bar begins to repair itself.  Inside he is astonished, but he merely backs out of the doorway to allow the building to heal.  Once it's finished, he pushes his way through the door and stands just inside, still ready and wary.
