Garreth explains,  "I just mean to say your weapons are of normal metals. They aren't vibroblades like the ones from where I live. Though even fewer possess blades of any higher quality than mine and my brethren." He places his hand into his cloak and, using the Force, pulls his saber from his belt. No one should notice anything about it unless looking extremely carefully at the fact that his hand hadn't moved since breaching the cloak's flap.

He withdraws his hand, now with the hilt of his saber within it and lays it upon the table; his hands folded atop it. He waits for a reaction before giving any details.

Parker notices one robed patron remove a metal cylinder from his cloak. He cuts his external speakers and orders Thor, "Thor, bring up a transcript of their conversation." Thor shows a line of text detailing what was said. He nods to himself and orders the script away. He resumes awaiting Ewa's response.

"We haven't felt the need to develop that kind of technology, I suppose. Why did your people?"

Garreth answered, "This technology has been available to us for millenia. It's actually a symbol of our order, as we are the only ones who can create such a device. Only one who can harness the Force can assemble one." He lifts his hands off the weapon and opens them like a book. He then lifts the hilt using telekinesis. He causes the hilt to hover over his hands and rotate, showing every aspect of the hilt.

"That's a very nice power. Where does this force come from, and how do you tap into it? Or is that confidential information?"

Garreth looks to the Draconian and answers, "It's not a power, it's an ability. The Force is all around and inside us, within everything. There are very few beings born with the ability to sense, see, and harness the Force. It takes decades of training and discipline to learn how to properly harness the Force and keep control of yourself in the process. Too many have lost themselves thinking it as a power."

Tammy sits back in the booth, still eying the two Andalites warily. She has nothing to contribute to the conversation, but she's too terrified of them to move. Besides, she still needs Myitt. Deciding to avoid further confrontation, she takes to staring at the table, tracing the whorls and scratches with one finger. This has been, by far, the longest she has gone in years without Zorish controlling her every move, and even the slight motion of her finger is a marvel.

Keslin continues to watch as the bar patrons shift and change, but after Parker leaves the conversation he does not attempt to join any of the others. He is more comfortable in silence. Well, relative silence.

<<We should probably return to base,>> he murmurs to Chris.

<<I only had one beer,>> Chris protests.

<<After recent events I'm not too eager to leave Tess alone,>> Keslin responds. <<I trust Reven, but the rebellion has grown and I do not trust the others there as much.>>

<<Fine, whatever,>> Chris mutters. Keslin sets his empty pilsner glass down on the bar with one trembling hand and strides over to the booth where Myitt, Illim, and others he is less familiar with, are seated.

"Myitt," Keslin says with a small smile. "I think our vacation here is going to be short-lived. I need to check in with my people." He raises blonde eyebrows. "I hope you don't plan on staying too long yourself. Reven likely has need of you."

Julian scratched under his chin. "Force, huh? Can't say I've ever heard of anything like that before. All we've got is a scientific group tryin to branch out into genetic engineering and manipulation. No clue why."

"I see. Sorry for misunderstanding. It's good that you channel it for constructive things. So what brings you to the bar?"

Garreth nods in understanding and gratitude towards the Draconian's apology. "I was forced here by a Mandalorian trap. I had an important message to deliver; however once here, I began to feel as though it was here I was meant to be all along. There is another of my order, from a Timeline far in my future. He was in great need. I was able to help him. I feel as though my future lies in his Time; not in my own."

Garreth exhales and gives an embarrased smile. He says, "It occurs to me that I don't yet know your names; nor do you know mine. I am Garreth Rob, Jedi Knight."

"I'm Zoshonel. It's nice to meet you, Garreth. I don't think I'll be staying here indefinitely, personally, though I suppoose it's not a bad place to set up camp.

Al grinned at Ewa, "Wingman nothin'. Guy'd be swimming in chicks if that's what I was here for. And if you like, you can begin by consulting with me later," he said, his eyes flicking towards Salem. That felt, once again, an awful lot like one of the trader's deceptions.

Salem rolled his eyes again and looked from Parker to Ewa. He knew he wasn't behaving in the professional manner that he should be with potential trading partners, but this was dragging on, and he was becoming impatient. He'd smooth it over with them later.

This bar was an odd place. As a Paladinian, Ewa should definitely know the Atazin galactic language, which he and Al had adopted over the last few years for speaking without being understood. He and Al had both picked up a bit of several other languages over the years, but there was no telling who knew what, and what translation technologies were in play.

<<Al, we need to neutralize Rathien,>> Salem thought-spoke privately to the android. <<Then you can go back to making friends or whatever you're doing around here.>> Al shot Salem a dirty look, but was unable to respond.

<<What I'd like to do,>> Salem continued, <<is something like what we did for the Visser's vanguard. Wooded area like this should work even better. Add some explosives and this could even be fun.>> This time, Al glared at Salem and shook his head.

Salem smirked- he'd figured on that, <<We can switch roles, if you like,>> Salem said. <<Heck, you don't even need to be there. Just set it up and keep in touch. I should be up for the legwork.>>

Even as Salem spoke, he noticed a slight headache beginning in his right temple. Added to the ache in his leg, and this was starting to feel like a very long day. In fact... how long had it been since he'd slept?

"Oh," Ewa responded to Al first with mild surprise.  "Well, that's rather convenient, actually."  Her forehead wrinkled in slight puzzlement.  Good that I won't have to try to focus on too much new information while I'm still sorting through my head.  He is one of the more convincing humans here, so maybe I'm just supposed to train him and he'll look after the others?  Strange not to take full advantage of someone you asked to consult with you though.  "Just let me know then."

She turned back to Parker with a polite smile.  "Some civil conversation would be lovely." she replied before moving towards the space at the bar he had indicated.  "Actually, I seem to have had some sort of identity aphasia, so anything you could tell me about what you're practicing for or what I might have already done here would be appreciated.  Are you one of mine?  Or do the mechanoids have someone else to consult with?"

Parker skewed his head slightly in confusion. He began toward the bar answering the best he could, "I've only just met you. The only other time I saw you was after the confrontation with 'Salem''s assailant." He put an odd emphasis on "Salem" as he spoke. He hesitates slightly before continuing, "I...'m not entirely certain what you mean as toward what I'm 'practicing'. What would I be practicing? One of your what? I'm from, I assume, a completely different universe as you; I don't belong to anyone or anything here. I'm a soldier for the United Nations Space Command."

He reached his hands up to his helmet. He did a final check of his HUD and lifted the helmet off his head. He had longer light brown hair barely touching his neck plate. He had green eyes that glow with a golden tint and stand out from his pale white skin; though his face is somewhat darkened with his unshaven scruff. He smiles as he says, "As you can see, I'm not a 'mechanoid'. I'm enhanced, certainly; but I'm 150% Human." He sits down on a stool and the bartender hands him a refreshed drink filled with his previous order. He takes a drink and asks, "Would you like a drink? It's on someone else's tab."

<<See? Myitt is preoccupied as well. She can take care of herself.>> Keslin murmurs to Chris. <<Best let her enjoy her vacation with Illim.>>

<<Yeah, yeah,>> Chris mutters, but he is the one that gives the booth a parting wave - keeping a safe distance away from the Andalite tails - and turns away.

He glances around the bar one last time before heading towards the door, pulling out his comm link and beginning a message to Tess.

The cool air outside the bar is welcome, but now that he has committed to leaving he moves quickly, eager to be back on base, back with Tess.

As his ship begins humming to life, the main computer console almost immediately beeps a warning that one of his other ships is in the vicinity. Frowning, he pulls up the holoscreen to investigate.

"What are they doing here?" he mutters, quickly opening a hail.

The image that picks up is of a young, Asian girl in her early twenties, hair tied up in a side ponytail with a fuschia scrunchie.

"Hey Keslin!" the girl says brightly.

"It's Chris," the human responds, his own voice flat. "What are you doing here?"

"What, we aren't allowed to take a vacation too?" The young woman's lips turn down into a pout.

"Not without my approval," Chris snaps, irritated. "You're supposed to be on base, Aya."

"Aw, c'mon. I promise we'll behave. It isn't like you've been giving Terliss or me anything to do lately. We're bored." Aya flips the ends of her ponytail over her shoulder and gives an over-dramatic sigh of exasperation.

"You think I want Terliss trying to take care of his boredom here?" Chris demands. "No way, he'll just-"

<<Let them,>> Keslin cuts in.

<<What!? No way! They'll just make trouble. I don't want to clean up their messes.>>

<<Chris, Terliss has been on a short leash for a long time. If you allow him some small freedoms perhaps he will grow less resentful. You and I both know that he is harder to control now that we have rejoined Reven's group.>>

Chris grinds his teeth for a moment, glaring at the viewscreen. "Fine," he finally says. "But don't cause any trouble. And keep that Yeerk of yours in check."

Aya's expression shifts ever so slightly, her smile fading and eyes flattening. "I am perfectly capable of keeping myself in check, human," Terliss says in an icy voice.

"Yeah, right," Chris mutters, cutting the communication rather than deal with the pair of them. "At least if they're here they can't be making a mess of things on base." He sighs and begins initiating the take off sequence for his ship.

Aya rolls her eyes when the communication cuts out, almost immediately being given control of her body back.

"He's such a stick in the mud," she comments, piloting the Bug Fighter downward. Terliss, offers no comment, content to remain silent.

Her Madra class ship touches down almost silently, just as Chris' own battered Bug Fighter lifts off and disappears into the night. Aya watches until he initiates his cloaking device, sticking her tongue out at the place he disappeared.

<<Childish,>> Terliss comments.

<<Whatever,>> Aya responds cheerfully, adjusting her holster and opening the hatch. She hops out of the ship, not waiting for the ramp to descend, and makes her way through the shipyard.

<<This place never gets less creepy,>> Aya says, sounding perfectly happy about that fact as she pushes open the door to the bar and looks around.
