"Yes," Terenia says quickly. "Yeah, Mike says he can help me through it. Shouldn't be...shouldn't be a problem." She glances down at the comm as she moves into the bridge proper, leaving the door to the little pool room open as she goes. Her eyes flicker to the holoscreen that Illim is looking at, but she says nothing out loud.

<<Alright, what do I do?>> she asks Mike. <<Or do you just want me to give you control?>> She marvels for a moment at how strange that is; she never in a million years would have offered to give Efaen  back control of her body, but somehow it seems natural with Mike.

Zorish's thin smile twists ever so slightly into a sneer, but he reaches into his holster and pulls his Dracon back out, carefully keeping it pointed at the ground as he takes the weapon apart and removes the power cells. Slipping the cells into a side pocket he replaces the now useless weapon in his holster.

"I hope you can find yourself more comfortable with my presence now, War-Prince," Zorish says, propelling his body into motion towards the bar. "I would not want to get off on the wrong foot. Or would you say wrong hoof?" He smiles faintly at the poor attempt at a joke.

Efaen's shoulders stiffen when the Imperial waves at her, and she quickly memorizes his features in case she would have to relay them to Ossanlin later on. <<This bar is rarely friendly to Imperials, Yeerk,>> she says to him in cold, private thought-speech. <<Do not be surprised if the insignia on your uniform attracts unwanted attention.>>

"The Empire owns much of the galaxy. What sort of place is this that wouldn't be friendly to soldiers of the Empire?" He looked efaen over. "I suppose you're not one of us, then? The Empire took the Andalite Homeworld so long ago, but I've heard some of your species escaped infestation."

"Afternoon mera, mind if I join you?"  He looks around the table grinning again, his fangs showing through the wide smile clearly.

Oooh, pretty, Ewa thought though she felt a tingle down her spine.  Some kind of feral elf.  She couldn't stop staring at his fangs.  Something in the back of her mind was telling her to wake up and watch herself, but that just made it more interesting.  This was the one who had been bothering Salem, the ignorant cowboy.

She smiled at the newcomer and propped her chin on both her hands so she could look at him properly.  "Hello," she drew out the word cheerfully.  "You have a fascinating smile, if you don't mind me saying so.  Like staring at a fire.  I bet that's why Salem was so uncomfortable with you earlier."

The nervous human seems to be trying to hide his face as much as possible. He has very short brown hair with cocasin skin. The spacesuit is a mix of the normal human bulky design and styled with andalite technology to make it sleeker and easier to walk in. Seeing nobody heard him he mutters again slightly louder this time "Can I get a cheeseburger and a coke?"

Lucan took a look around and realized that he had made a grave mistake. While talking to Jade he had stopped paying attention to his surroundings. There were now several more beings in the bar and recognized a few humans. The mere sight of them made his spots flash bright green and his blood to boil with rage.

He needed to get out of here, but it would be dishonorable to leave Jade. However when he looked at her Lucan realized that her eyes were glazed and it looked like she was lost in thought. Lucan signaled the bartender over. When the bartender walked over Lucan asked quietly in Gallard "How much do I owe you?" The bartender took out his notepad and wrote an amount down then tore off the paper and handed it to Lucan

Lucan read the amount then dug in his cloak and pulled out a pouch. He reached in and put five gold cylinders, twenty-seven silver pyramids, and thirteen bronze cubes on the table. The bartender put them in his apron and walked back to the bar. Lucan activated the translator in his visor and wrote a note on the back of the paper in English. 'Jade Tear, I am going to go outside for awhile. There are many beings in here that are making me uncomfortable. I did not want to leave without telling you, but I also do not wish to interrupt your thoughts.. I have already paid for the drinks so if you wish to continue talking I will wait.'

Lucan pulled his mask back up again covering the lower part of his face. He stood and quickly walked out of the bar.

Seeing that the creature had signaled the bartender the human did the same. When he came over he whispered the order into his ear. The bartender nodded and left to fulfill the order

~Ossanlin~

As soon as the Imperial removes the power-cells from his weapon and re-holsters it, Ossanlin holsters his own Shredders, nodding.  There might still be some residual charge...enough for a stun shot...or if it was modified there might be an extra hidden power-cell, but then again it could be simple standard-issue.  In any case Ossanlin did feel a bit more comfortable.

<Yes well...I may not be overly prejudiced against Yeerks, but I will fight the Empire and its goals until those goals are modified into peacable ones that don't involve the repression and enslavement of myriad innocent beings.>  Ossanlin falls in a bit closer with the Imperial, tail swishing over his own back.  <So then you claim to have a goal aside from murdering people for a crime which has never happened in your own existence?>

He gestures for Serid to follow.  <<I never said that some Imperials weren't intelligent, Warrior.  This one obviously knows when he's at a disadvantage and is willing to do whatever is necessary to promote his own preservation.>>

~Rathien~

Rathien smirks at the almost-human female.  Had Al taken on a female form this time?  If so, this female was of a species that Rathien himself had never seen nor heard of.  "You flatter me, kind female.  But one should be careful around fire...a being's liable to get burned if he's not."  Rathien runs his tongue over his left fang again...the same gesture of desire he'd exhibited while laying the innuendo on Salem.  "Let us just say that Tobias and I have a...history.  One that does not promote trust."

"I did not arrive here with the intent of murdering anyone," Zorish says, his voice brittle. "You have not been a human, so you likely are not aware of how emotional these creatures can become at times. I...momentarily forgot myself." He casts Ossanlin a sidelong glance, keeping cautiously out of tail range. When he reaches the bar he grabs the door and holds it open for the warrior, positioning himself half behind the wood, almost as if it were a shield.

"I came here seeking information," he continues, eying Serid curiously. "I expect I will stay until all of my questions have been answered. That is, of course, assuming my presence is not going to raise any more hackles, hm?"

<Impossible!> Efaen snaps immediately. The idea that the Andalite Homeworld could be seized in any reality is preposterous, and her tail muscles stiffen at the suggestion. <You are lying, Yeerk.>

"Have you been living in a bubble, girl? The war had been over for decades. Maybe over a century, even. There isn't even anyone still alive that was personally in the war." He said as he continued to sip his whiskey. Though he was starting to think she might get violent. He didn't really want to start a fight in the crowded place, but this girl was high strung.

"Why don't you calm down? I won't hurt you. You seem tense, though this is the kind of place people can come to relax. What suits your fancy in this place?" He said, gesturing to the bottles of alchohol on the shelf behind the bar.

<<I reckon I can walk you through it.  You need to make sure the link is encrypted, and I mean, more than the usual amount of encryption,>> Mike explains.  <<See that screen there?  You need to hold down the icon on the middle left.  It says 'security protocol'.  Hold it down, and then slide it to the right a little ways, and then down.  Illim can help you read it, I only know what a few words look like.>>

Al nodded in response to Jasper's words. "Wacky," he mouthed, waving his arms halfheartedly over his head. He then turned to Ogreon and nodded in agreement with Ewa, "Yeah, if anything, he looked a little... dazed, I guess you could say." He smiled at Ewa, "Yeah, get yourself some food. This stuff is strong. Gotta imagine you'll want to take it a little slow."

Before he could say anything else, though, Rathien approached the table and asked if he might join them. Al didn't let his annoyance show. "Of course, pull up a chair, sir. We were just discussing the intricacies of time and space. Nothing big," he said with a grin. Did the hunter know him? He couldn't tell. He might just have gotten lucky with this table. Al had no intention of giving anything away if he didn't have to. He listened to the banter between Ewa and Rathien with a smirk.

"So one or both of you've been burned, then?" he asked the Ildari. "Have a drink with us. This one," he indicated his glass, "only burns in the best way."

Mar follows Salem out the door, almost carelessly drifting into the air as he does so. Flight was one of the few powers he still had access to, possibly because it did not involve converting or shifting matter. Salem's ship looked just as bizarre as he remembered, even from here. The technology was certainly nothing Mar recognized, and he had vague memories of several ship types. Even the Beryllian ship looked somewhat familiar.

"Why on Earth do they want you dead where you're from?" said Mar, crossing his arms. "Too many bad deals with too many people? You seem like that type. Or are you carrying something of true value in that absurd craft of yours?"

Salem walked towards his ship. He found Mar's floating through the air more than a little distracting, but he did his best to carry on the conversation.

"Where I'm from originally? I guess you could say there are certain people who'd like to see me gone thanks to... we'll call it 'political piracy.' Long story," he rolled his eyes. "The universe I've been spending time in for the last few years tends to have more solid reasoning. The Yeerks have a number of... shall we say 'malfunctions,' and a few deaths, that they attribute to my presence." He smirked, "And the Andalites... the bounty that they actually have out for me says I stole Andalite military secrets and conspired with the enemy. I think they might actually be calling it 'treason,' which means at least the one sending out the message respects me enough to consider me a part of their society. Former part."

As the pair of them neared the craft, the ramp opened, settling to the ground, and Salem began walking into the craft. "Have a look around," he said, waving an arm at the various shelves of random objects. "I've got a bunch of stuff tucked away, too."

Efaen's laugh is sharp. <If you came here looking to relax, I fear you chose poorly, Imperial.> She pulls herself up straighter, spine rigid. <Where I am from the Empire would never defeat the Andalites.>

She shifts uneasily, keeping one hand readily on her weapon. <I recommend that you depart at once.>

"Okay, yeah," Terenia says, still feeling overwhelmed by the past few minutes. She swallows, taking in the holoscreen in front of her. Like Mike, she can read bits and pieces of it, and using both his knowledge and her own she is able to make out something close to coherency. "Right," she murmurs, manipulating the icon according to Mike's instructions. "Hey, uh, Illim, I may need some translation help here." She squints at the screen, trying to make sense of the symbols.

Ewa felt another stab of unease when the elf responded.  He looks like he wants to eat me.... and probably not in a good way.  She rubbed her eyes to make herself stop staring.  And because they were dry.  Still, it was impossible to resist responding.  Although Ewa kept rubbing her left eye she pinned him again with her right.

"Or maybe she'll just be momentarily blinded," she teased.  She couldn't decide if she liked this new character or if he scared her.  My mind isn't working as well as it should, she realized.  Ewa had mentioned Salem, but now he was talking about someone else.... "Tobias?"

Realizing that she needed to make food a priority, she waved over the bar tender and asked for a large plate of nachos with everything she could think to put on them.
