Adam emerges from under a table, holding up the medkit. He coughs. "Found it!" He stumbles back to the bar, setting the medkit down on the counter. He coughs again, then notices the newcomer. "Hello there--" He trails off as he realizes the wall's... rebuilding?

"Jesus," he mutters, then turns to the bartender. "Guiness."

OGREON

Ogreon watched as the wounds of battle seemed to overcome the one andalite. Three others had been watching – one had cybernetic implants. We watched as the cyborg created a force-field around the wounded andalite and started bringing him somewhere, with the other two andalites trailing.

Then he spotted a human male. Maybe they knew...

"Excuse me sir!", Ogreon walked up to the human, "My name is Ambassador Ogreon, I was wondering; do you know the location of a certain Lieutenant Colonel Vogefac?"

<Efaen and I are fine, sir. Mar seems to be very weak from his exertion, but is being tended to. Hopefully all he really needs is rest and possibly nutrition. I don't know about the other people in the bar that may have been inside when the ship crashed. I didn't look, but hopefully it didn't land on anyone. Corliss' ship has landed, and I doubt they suffered any harm. We're going to the Mirage to heal you. I don't know if you'll need to remain conscious to let us in or not. This is Theta Pi, by the way. I can debrief you on him later.>

Illim ducks and lets out an expletive as another chunk of wood, evidently part of a rafter beam, flies past him. "What the hell is this place?" he demands of Corliss, looking warily behind him before straightening again.

His attention is caught by a newcomer who enters the building as if it isn't strange that it's reassembling itself around her. He gives Corliss a sour "what gives?" expression.

The Bartender eventually slid Van the drink he was after, and the Beryllian tipped his head back, and began drinking heavily. He made great gulps of the stuff, as the alien drink surged down his throat like bubbling flam. Aaah, now that's the stuff!

He drank like a man dying of thirst, and within a few minutes, he was done. Van turned the cup upside down, and slammed it back on the bar.

"Whooo... That was niiiice. Mm, a local variation, what kind of spice was that?!"

It was a rhetorical question, really, and without waiting for an answer of any kind from the still-glaring Bartender, Van spun around in his stool, only to realize the wall was... rebuilding? Stupefied, Van began to wonder if he was drunk. Really, getting drunk on one glass was hard thing to do, since a single glass usually just jolts the senses, while about two or three in begins deadening them.

But Van wasn't so sure himself, whether he was drunk or not he figured, somehow, that he was drunk. Especially since some of those splinters were crawling like inchworms. Quickly, Van began to wonder if his little snack of woodchips was so good after all... And also what the heck those spices in the drink he ordered were.

"Excuse me sir!", cried one of the patrons. Perhaps to Van? The man was bizarre in appearance, with multiple legs. I wasn't that he hasn't seen his fair share of species with multiple legs, more that he didn't recognize this particular one.

"My name is Ambassador Ogreon, I was wondering; do you know the location of a certain Lieutenant Colonel Vogefac?"

Ah, so I can understand him. Weird.

"What, me? I'm just Van Aldbaran," Van responded. He leaned against the Bar, and winced as his right leg made a complaint at the gesture. Van coughed, "Last I checked, guys like you shouldn't be talking to guys like me. I don't have any idea what happens to anyone in the Navy, either."

" I guess I should be happy for the 'living when you really shouldn't' thing. At least that's good... But... I'm not totally happy with the 'mind of it's own' thing. That sounds... like some creepy sci-fi movie. Which... is actually a pretty good description of what's going on here, now that I think about it....."

Jasper's jaw dropped at the thing that Salem showed them. "...that's... a .. what?" He couldn't believe it. That was just too cool! This was... a Philosopher's Stone? Er... Jar? ...Thing? That wasn't supposed to be possible! But then again, who was he to say otherwise. He didn't know if he *wanted* it, but he certainly wanted to play with it, at least for a while. "Okay, I knew the stuff you had all over the place was cool, but.. that's just... too awesome! What other kinds of gadgety things have you got here?" He felt like a kiddie in a toy store, set loose with his momma's credit card.

"Thanks, man," Adam says to the bartender as he sets down his Guiness. He takes a long drink, then puts down his glass.

He glances over his shoulder at the... ah... person Van speaks to. He shrugs. "Sorry. Haven't seen much of anybody. I only woke up a few minutes ago."

Adam opens the medkit, stares at it for a moment, then slides it toward Van. "You know what you need out of this?"

OGREON

Suddenly self-conscious, Ogreon glanced at his many legs and inhuman anatomy, "Who, me? If you're talking about the linguistic barrier, I have a Universal Translator chip implanted in my brain. It translates both ways. You can understand me, I understand you. But the Clangst language is very similar to English anyway. And Vogefac isn't in the Human navy...he's a Reptilinod."

He turned to the other man, "It's quite alright...I'm starting to get the feeling he wasn't even here. Wait...woke up? How did you get here?"

"Oh, I got here on a ship. I just..." Adam gestures awkwardly. "Kind of... nodded off." He smiles sheepishly. "I'll keep an eye out for your friend... er... what exactly does a Reptilinod look like?"

OGREON

Ogreon brought his two fingered hand to his head in a very human gesture, "Forgive me, I forgot that I was in another universe where the Reptilinod do not exist. Reptilinod are tall, yellow reptilian creatures. Outwardly they could probably be compared to a Hork-Bajir; blades. They have two acute-angle horns, 2 foot claws on their hands, 6 spikes on their back and a large sickle-like toe on their foot. And thank you for your assurances..."

He stood there, not sure what to do...

"How do you fall asleep at the helm?", he asked out of pure curiosity.

"Eh, a Reptilinoid? Never heard of one, so I guess it's the wrong Navy we're talking about here?"

Van shrugged, confused. Exactly where was he? It was beginning to bother him, as most of the Bar's patrons were... Well he only really recognized the Humans.

The guy beside him, however, was more helpful. He slid the medkit down the Bar as asked, "You know what you need out of this?"

Van glanced inside and searched around. There was what felt like equal parts 'things he recognized, yet didn't need' and 'things he didn't recognize and may have needed'. Groaning, Van piped up, "Uh, any pain killers? I'll need to make a splint for my right leg, I guess. I think it might be fractured, but I'm not sure. The left leg, I think, is bruised..."

Van mumbled sourly as he pulled out a small knife from the kit, and gripped the handle in his mouth. Then, he carefully made his way off the bar stool, and sat down on the floor. He leaned over towards his bloodied, right leg, and began to cut at the right of his pants, revealing the leg underneath.

Van winced as soon as he saw it. Bloody, though most of the shrapnel was gone. Most of the pain he was feeling must be coming from the splinters still worming their way out of his skin. "Ugh, disgusting," Van snorted, "Why'd I think it was a good idea to try eating that wood, anyways? Ah, zhon!"

I just hope it doesn't come crawling up, Van thought, Ah, that makes me feel sick! But I don't feel anything wrong with my stomach.. Although my chest feels bruised. Fun stuff.

He finished cutting away the pant leg, which revealed the injury for all to see. Seeing it didn't make him feel better. As he threw the fabric aside, Van got a feeling that something was "off" around here. "I need to get back up and walking as fast as possible," he muttered to himself, "I have a feeling it'll be pretty important... That, and I need my gun. I don't feel safe, now."

Glancing back up at the stools where the creature asking about a Reptilinoid Lieutenant and the guy who handed him the medkit were, Van couldn't help but overhear the conversation. He shuddered at the thought of running into a Reptilinoid, especially in this condition. The  Reptilian creatures he has ran into lacked blades, but certainly had claws. And they could secrete a burning acid from their skin when angered... or aroused.

Speaking of arousal, Van scanned the area for females. Why not? Girls would love to help out a pretty little fellow like him... Then he shook his head, and pulled up an alcohol wipe from the kit. Gah. Is there any better way to clean these wounds?

Adam nods, ignoring for the moment the bit about "another universe." He furrows his brow. "I didn't fall asleep at the helm. I fell asleep in here. Well after I landed." He glances at the hole in the wall. "Erm... for the record, that--" he points at the destroyed wall--"wasn't me."

He turns to Van. "I can check my ship. Might have another medkit with something more useful in it for you."

Van looks up, and grins widely, "Awesome! I'd pay you, but since I can't imagine currency exchange here being easy, from the sound of it, I can pay you in Vivalite. I'll... Uh, considering the circumstances, I find you a good vial-nyah."

Then, he points to the wreckage, "And, eheh... That's my ship over there. Uh, I guess it's less that I fell asleep at the helm, and more like something dragged me over here." He paused, and furrowed his brow.

"I swear! It was like a gravity well or... something."

"I see...", Ogreon said. He looked at the wall.

"A gravity well you say? Intriguing! At what coordinates were they? Maybe my ship can find out what it was. It's a purely scientific vessel withsesor array galore!"

"Don't worry about it." Adam slides off his stool. "I don't even know what's in it at the moment. We, uh, kind of left in a hurry. Anyway, I'll be right back." Adam leaves the bar, hesitating a moment at the opening before going through.

Adam reaches his bug fighter and opens the hatch. When he enters the ship, he searches for the medkit. He finds it buried in a compartment and pulls it out, blowing dust off the top. He stands up and starts to leave the ship but stops at the makeshift Yeerk pool. He can see Carris swimming around in the sludge. He curls his hand around the edge for a moment, watching. Finally, he sighs and leaves the ship, heading back toward the bar.
