Corliss sighs, watching the spectacle unfold between Ossanlin and Okaru.  He pinches the bridge of his nose, taking a long moment to think.

"Screw Salem, we can deal with him later.  Illim, buckle up," he says.  "Computer, close exterior hatch."

The hull melts closed and Corliss straps himself into the nav seat, living metal sinking around his waist and torso.

"Terenia, we're going to help Ossanlin out," he says tersely.  "Then we'll deal with the dapsen who hacked into my system."

The Skimmer lifts into the air, rotating towards the bar as it cruises above the tree line.

<About time we do something,> Terenia mutters indignantly as she scrunch-thrusts around the cramped pool, frustrated by her lack of senses. <Is Ossanlin okay? Don't let the blue bastard die until after he helps me, alright?>

Jerking his eyes up, Diteca spotted a skimmer approaching and tensed. Why would it need to come this direction?

''Better hope its not coming to deal with this..'' He muttered, allowing the nanites in his system that allowed his powers to flush around through his system. His skin began to get thicker, his muscles pumped up, his senses thickened and his mind got sharper.

Keeping his eyes ahead he shrugged to release his tension, allowing himself to become nearly invisible in the shadows.

He may be a new ally but he is an ally...till i dont need him...Diteca thought as he became sure he would help Okaru even without the whistle. I need some money. Without it my own situation gets harder...

"I don't know, there's just been a lot of commotion over there since our comm link cut out," Corliss replies, charging the Skimmer's main, twin Dracon cannons.  The medium-sized, crouching insectoid shape of the ship retracts its spindly, leg-like landing gears and cruises towards the bar.

"Illim, things might get a little bumpy," he says, tapping at the main holoscreen. "Can you man the weapons? Not on maximum, we just want to threaten him first, not blow the whole bloody place to bits."

"Nope." Jacob gulped the last of his drink and swallowed, before turning. "There are a lot of alliances in the universe but I've  never heard if one that calls itself THE Alliance." He probably sounded rude but he didn't especially care.

Al hung his head in faux disappointment, "I know there are a lot of perks to being organic. Is it too much to ask for me to just be able to try it sometime."

It was Salem's turn to laugh, "You know you're crazy, right?"

Al gave a sly smile, "Built and programmed."

Salem rolled his eyes, a smile still on his face, and turned back to Jasper. "I should be able to get all the scans I need without Sapptus feeling a thing." He began setting up a little silver tripod device in the mess of stuff he'd pushed aside to make space for the Yeerk. "So, the Yeerk can't feed on this... Kandrona radiation from within a host? That's interesting. But you said your instant trail meal eliminates his dependency on it, right?" He glanced over at Al, who also seemed intrigued. Al returned his glance with a shrug.

He tapped the top of the device he'd set up, causing it to emit a greenish beam of light, which began sweeping over Sapptus quickly enough that a grid pattern appeared overlaid on him. Salem also grabbed his persona scanner from his pocket, pointed it at Sapptus, and pressed a few buttons, causing it to trill. He stuck it back in his pocket and grabbed two nearly-identical silver, square devices from the pile of gadgets he'd just laid down. He looked back and forth between them for a second before glancing down at Sapptus. He thought better of using the devices, and put them back down, shuddering as he pictured what they might do to the Yeerk if he guessed a few things about his anatomy incorrectly.

He turned to Jasper, still absentmindedly digging through his pile of gadgets. "Do you have any way we could sample some Kandrona Rays? If they're tied into this addiction, it'd help me a lot to get some scans of what they are."

<<Hey, they sound like us, don't ... oh...>> Jasper said to himself, realizing that Sapttus wasn't there to share with. "Oh, uhm, yeah. It's... they have to come out to feed and stuff. Well, just feed, really... And yeah, that's the thing. The Oatmeal makes it so they don't need Kandrona anymore. But... it also makes them go kinda crazy if they go without it for too long. It's kinda a toss up, really." Jasper watched as Salem worked. The tools he brought out were somewhat fascinating. He saw him pull out the persona scanner, and remembered seeing it in the bar. It made the same high-pitched sound as before, but didn't seem to do anything, really. Not that... medical scanners and things like that really needed to do anything, but... In response to Salem's final question, he said:  "I don't know. We didn't bring anything with us, really, though... I guess there might be a chance there's something on our ship that could help with that. I don't know though. It wasn't really important to us since Sapttus doesn't need it like other Yeerks." Jasper realized that he was edging closer to talking about their large stockpile of Oatmeal on the ship. He knew that Sapttus would be trying to steer him away from that conversation. "What is that? I saw you with it before, and now I'm just dying to know what is is. Is it like... an MRI?" Salem had another question, however. Really, Jasper had no idea how to get a Kandrona sample. He doubted their ship had a portable device. He was feeling very inconfident at the moment, especially considering he was sharing about anything and everything that Salem mentioned. That wasn't a smart idea, he was sure. He wished Sapttus was back. He always knew what was right.

Sapttus physically spasmed, though he thought nothing of it. This had become standard in his life. Fortunately for Jasper, human brains don't have any nerve endings, so he was unable to feel his constant twitching and shifting in his cranial cavity. During the process, his mind had wandered farther into the doctor shows he's seen during his time with Jasper. This was just like one of those shows. He was the patient with the weird disease, and the crazy doctors with the love triangles would try to figure out what was wrong, until some random person made some random comment about rice cereal or something, and the doctors finally figured it out for real. Those poor random people.. so important to the plot, but get so little credit. Oh, if only the patients could know who it was who'd really saved their lives. Then things would be right in the world. All he needed was someone to say something totally irrelevant to anything, and his addiction would be cured. There were lots of people on this rock heap, surely one of them was enough of a moron to help him out.

He stopped to think about this all for a moment....

I hate those sunglasses, he concluded.

Ogreon laughed, "It's the only Alliance in our universe. Plus it's easier to say "The Alliance" than "the Universal Alliance Influence." Doesn't flow as well."

He sipped the drink, the fizzy bubbles passing up his long trunk and down his throat felt good.

"So what's your story?", He said, looking at the guy.

Jacob didn't like how friendly this alien was being. That usually meant that he wanted something. "That's privileged information. What do you want anyways?" He asked in his gruff voice.

Jagill noticed the Skimmer coming. Perhaps Corliss was coming to shoot at Okaru. He was not friends with Temrash anymore, so he wasn't friends with Jagill either. Ossanlin didn't ask Corliss to help as far as he knew, but if he was going to he would need a ship. He decided to climb onto the roof to get a better vantage, and to avoid any blasts being shot at the ground. He didn't take a real good look around the roof, so he didn't consciously notice anyone else up there.

Ossanlin fends off Okaru's attacks but falls a bit further behind with each parry, he takes small, shallow nicks on his forearms and shoulders as the blades begin to connect oh so slightly.  He spots the Skimmer coming in...it seems like everyone is watching.  He can tell that he's losing ground against the human's speed...it wouldn't be long before he took an injury deeper than a mere skin wound.

'very well' Ossanlin thought to himself as he drew his entire aura within his own body.  Time seems almost to freeze for a moment as Ossanlin's blue fur erupts into a sea of silver.  The transformation is nearly instantaneous as his fur becomes bright silver, his hooves changing colors as well.  His eyes grow lighter and brighter blue, glowing with an internal light, and his wicked tail-blade takes on a platinum sheen.

Immediately Ossanlin dilates time around himself.  It would appear to others, including his opponent, as if he had become a blur to match Okaru, but in truth it was merely the effect of time and Ossanlin was not exerting himself any further.

Okaru felt himself slowed down somehow, ''Lets see what you got!'' He responded as he roared out and tapped into the fullest speed he could reach at that moment.

Running full speed forward, he slid into a full powered swing, hoping the carried momentum would help.

Ossanlin steps out of the way of Okaru's blade with plenty of time to spare, for all appearances seeming to have all the time in the world, aside from the serious look on his face.  Maintaining this form was difficult without significant recovery time between stints.  Ossanlin had not been fully-rested, but can only hope that Mar will back him up with a stream of raw energy.  Without it, he estimates he will fall unconscious most-likely within five to ten standard minutes.  Of course the fight could be over much sooner...perhaps.

Ossanlin crosses his dual katana in front of his body and swings them violently down to his sides, marks rending the ground below his katana as if massive swords had come down and rent the earth, though his blades had not made physical contact with the ground.  The swords glow white as energy suffuses them, and they lengthen somewhat.  <The tip of the iceberg, my friend.  You can still give up this charade...>  His thoughts seem to be more...potent...they are still thought-speech yes...but they seem to echo or reverberate a bit, very loud in the mind's ear.

((*gasp* ~ Ossanlin can manipulate time and space...like a fushigi!))

|THETA-PI|

The humanoids speed lowered slightly. We sensed ourselves slowing internally, also externally. We read a time dilation emitting from the now seemingly metallic Andalite.

Pure Metal alloy., we passed among the now one person of the bar's Alvie collective, Would be a great achievement if it were as flexible as the nominal epidermis.

We ran a few calculations in our processors, trying to ascertain the possibility of leaving a metal at melting point on the joints of a structure, similar to the wrinkles and folds of extra skin on organic joints, and the rest a solid structure....

The melting point of Scutite is 5,976.1º Celsius...the melting point of Vissium is 6,807.8º Celsius...the Melting point of Cogomium is 115,091º Celsius...no aplicable metal could be efficiently used.

We watched the battle between Okaru and Ossanlin with some interest. Okaru had just been slowed by Okaru. Now they were almost on even footing. As we say that, we refer to Ossanlin having the edge – to out processors.

|OGREON

He shrugged, a gesture he had picked up from humans. It was hard for a non-brachiating species, but Ogreon had learned.

"Alright. Confidential. Classified. I deal with classified matters all the time. And by that I mean, I get blocked out of information often."

Then the man asked what he wanted, "Nothing! Nothing at all! If you happen to know, I would like the location of Lieutenant Colonel Vogefac, but you already told me you don't. I was merely trying to...kill time. I was expected to find Vogefac and advise him of a situation on Earth, but I'm not going back until I find him.", he nodded short and hard, as if the being really cared.

The creature, actually quite similar to a Taxxon in some respects, looked around to see who else might know of Vogefac's location.

Claxter was awestruck. What had his Prince come across that made him so powerful? His voice was loud in claxter's head, but he didn't flinch. He was just too focused on the blurred space where Ossanlin and Okaru fought.

Jagill was a bit nervous about what he was seeing. No andalite was supposed to be able to do these things. was Ossanlin not an Andalite? He was different. Being different to a Hork-Bajir was a big thing, and to see an Andalite that was so much more than a normal Andalite made him unsure of how to even look at the Prince now. He shook his head a bit at the sound of his voice. It was like he talked out of a loudspeaker that was tuned up too high.

Mar watches the fight carefully, and then suddenly feels a shudder echo through his own body as Ossanlin converts into his ascended form. Mar realizes that Ossanlin can't hold this for long---the best chance Ossanlin has is if Mar and the other Bar members back him up. With this in mind, Mar abruptly sits down in the dirt. This will soil his clothes, but that's hardly a concern.

Mar closes his eyes, causing (to anyone who could see him close up) the lines running through his gauntlet hand to light up light purple. Mar is aware that what he is going to do will be distasteful to Ossanlin, and dangerous for his health. But if Mar attempted to send his own energy to Ossanlin while the Andalite is ascended, the results would be disastrous. Mar therefore forwards the energy of those collected in the gauntlet toward the War-Prince. Mar smirks at the pain echoing through his own mind, but winces at the transfer. To do such a thing is mad. Mortality has driven him to pass on his own sustenance and possibly compromise his status. Yet still...it would be...empty without the War-Prince.
