Terenia's eyes snap up to meet Illim's when he speaks, pulling her away from Mike's thoughts.

"Somehow I doubt that," she says gruffly. "Andalite's rarely tell the truth, and if they do it's only because there's some benefit to them." She sighs, running her hand through Mike's hair, temporarily forgetting it is not the long, tangled mess that she usually sports. "I don't know. I just need to get Efaen back. I'm not in favor of joining the rebellion tupperware style."

<<Yes,>> Efaen agrees. <<He would not achieve captainhood if he were not qualified for the duties. I am simply concerned that his time at this establishment has warped his view of the war. He is convinced that a small sampling of the Yeerk population will actually dissent against their own people - that they are actively doing so. I find this rebellion a bit of an obvious farce. They do seem to work collaboratively with their hosts; however, I cannot imagine that their hosts were all voluntary from the onset. They have been manipulated into believing that the cause is just, when it is only half of a solution.>>

Trey offers the man a weak smile, his stomach growling loudly at the sight of the tortilla chips. When was the last time I ate? he wonders. He can't remember if he's had anything substantial since he crashed here.

"Hi," he offers an uncertain hand to the man. "I'm Treyliss."

Jasper smiled. <<I'll let you handle this part.>> Sapttus said. "Yeah, well, everyone likes chips and dip." He took the man's hand with a reasonably firm grip. "I'm Jasper. I'm uh, kinda new here." He set the basket down, and pulled up a chair from a table behind him, not wanting to make either of them have to scoot over for him. He noticed the guy eying the chips. "Feel free to have at it. I don't mean to intrude or anything, I was uh, just wanting to maybe learn a thing or two about this place. Would either of you know anything, or are you as lost as I am?"

We felt the gravity release it's pressure. We scanned the area..

We injected hyperadrenaline into our blood stream, and used the exoskeletal supports to raise ourselves in 2 seconds.

<Andalite. Show yourself.>

Temrash entered the room to find the android Andalite, but he was up much faster than expected.

"May have difficulties here." He said. He really wasn't feeling confident about that metal tail. He backed out of the room and drew his dracons on stun. He fired at the organic areas of Theta's body to stun him.

"If you hold him down, I'll infest him, and then we'll know for sure" Illim winks with a smile. "Come on," he gestures with his hand. "Let's find your grumpy host, hm? Birds of a feather."

Serid studies Efaen carefully before speaking rather slowly, <<I, too, have heard of this rebellion.>> He frowns and stops walking, his dark eyebrows lowering in concern. What she says is slicing through his fog of sleepiness to rouse a quiet anxiousness in its place. <<Do you have any evidence regarding its true intentions that you might present to a superior? And... what do you mean, half of a solution?>>

"We've been here a while," Elayne tells Jasper, "so we might be able to help you. My name's Elayne, by the way." She reaches forward and takes a chip, nibbling thoughtfully on it a moment. If there is one lesson she has learned at the Bar, it is to be circumspect, particularly around strangers. She continues: "What exactly do you want to know? And where are you coming from?"

<<So, uh, we're keeping you a secret, right?>> Jasper asked. He didn't like the idea of hiding an entire other person. It felt like spying. <<Yes, but only for a little while. It wouldn't do us too much good to scare them off.>> But... there was that Andalite we saw... <<Yes, I know that. But still. We'll just work it into the conversation in a minute or so.>>

"I come from Earth. And uh, I take it that isn't the only place for humans to come from around here, is it?" That was an interesting concept for both Jasper and Sapttus. What was this, Star Wars? "I guess for starters, it would be nice to know where we are." Jasper rubbed his neck. How was he supposed to explain how they'd gotten here? "I'm on a little R&R trip, you could say, and just happened to find myself here. It seems like a nice place so far...."

Gaz had a drink while she watched Morgan. He had been really quiet lately and hadn't even answered Temrash, who had walked out a while ago.

Morgan had been through a lot and had come through stronger than ever. Anything that came up in the past, Morgan had come through no problem. He made it through his trials at the facility where he had nearly died. He found his family again, made it through the bounty hunter returning and losing a crew member...did losing his mind really scare Morgan that much?

"Yeah," Terenia grumps. "Let's go." She sighs, unfolding her arms and moving forward in the direction Illim indicated. She bites her lip, glancing towards the ground, indecision clouding her thoughts again.

<<Everyone thinks that this is such a fantastic opportunity with Ossanlin,>> she frets. <<Ugh, I just want all of this to be over with.>>

<<Evidence?>> Efaen looks surprised. <<What evidence do I need beyond the fact that they are Yeerks? They have evolved as creatures of deceit.>> She turns her main eyes to him, regarding the Andalite nothlit carefully. <<It is half a solution because it achieves half of their supposed means. Based on the information that I have gathered these rebellion members seek a union between host and Yeerk. While their intentions are, admittedly, honorable ->> Efaen winces slightly, as if saying that much is painful, <<- they are not feasible. How many sapient beings would accept a Yeerk into their head? Even those voluntary hosts that are a part of the rebellion undoubtedly did not begin voluntary.>>

"Thanks," Trey says gratefully, reaching over and grabbing a handful of chips. He shoves them into his mouth, chewing thoughtfully as Jasper explains his situation.

"Well," he says, swallowing and taking a swig of water, "I'm from Earth. So is Elayne. It isn't only the where you have to be concerned about here, but the when as well." He offers Jasper a small smile. "Most humans here seem to come from some variation of Earth, at least."

<<All that matters is whether you think it's a fantastic opportunity,>> Mike insists.  <<Okay?  You don't need to appease anyone else but yourself.  And...perhaps Efaen.  And Reven.  And...oh, bloody 'ell, look, none of that really matters.  Either you get your old body back through Ossanlin, or you get your old body back by getting Efaen to agree with you and not kill anyone.>>

He sighs internally.  <<Why can't our bloody lives ever just be easy?>>  Mike mulls the whole rotten situation over, his thoughts churning irritably.  <<I mean, it's a question of what you want more.  Your old self, alone...or your old self, with a voice in your 'ead?>>

<<Great,>> Terenia sighs. <<so I just have to make everyone in the freaking world happy. No big deal or anything. Look, if this doesn't work with Efaen I'll go accept ossanlin's stupid offer. I'd just be a lot more comfortable with it if I knew that I could keep the morphing ability. I don't like being vulnerable. Especially when it has been pretty useful lately.>>

<<For what it's worth, I don't like the idea of you being vulnerable either,>> Mike replies softly.  <<Especially with your penchant for getting shot at all the bloody time.  But that's the way things are in this way of life, and especially at this forsaken place.  We get shot at quite a bit, if you haven't noticed.  But...Terenia, you know that I'd...Corliss and I, we'd hate to have something happen to you, but that shouldn't rule your life, make you afraid of what's around every damn corner.>>

Illim leads Terenia towards where he had last seen Serid and Efaen near his ship, weaving his way around the other small spacecraft littering the gravel lot. At one point, a sigh from the Yeerk makes him glance over his shoulder at her, but she appears in deep thought--or conversation--so he keeps quiet. That is, until they arrive at the Madra, where Efaen is nowhere to be found.

"Well... they were here," he mutters.

Serid considers her final point carefully and then gives a slow nod. <<That is most likely true. I imagine that the majority of their hosts once fell prey to less... compromising Yeerks.>>

He faces her fully, frowning. <<Please do not misunderstand me: I do not support this rebellion. I do, however, wonder if they might be aiming for some other kind of agreement with our people. Perhaps they would be willing to take less-than-sapient hosts, should the war end. If we can control them, why not use them for our purposes in the meantime?>>

"Tell us..." Elayne murmurs, watching Jasper carefully, "what of the war where you're from? When you're from?" Existing in a future part of the same timeline has already proven dangerous once to her; she is eager to ensure she doesn't make the same mistake twice.

The Hork-Bajir fired at us. He aimed for our biological parts. One shot hit our abdminal support, and one hit our biological hand. The Nanoprobes would not fix that. His next shot hit our shoulder. That could be easily repaired.

His later shots were met with our advanced adaptive shielding. One arm missing the hand needed to use the Quantryon beam, and the other immobile and useless in any event, we had only to use our tail.

We lifted our tail and it shot out at him.

Carris doesn't respond to Amy as he's already out the door. Too late now.

Fiona is standing with her back turned a few yards from the door, perfectly still, with her hands held at her sides like a gunslinger.

Carris stops a few feet from her. "Fiona--" he cuts off abruptly as Fiona whips around and punches him in the face. "Jesus Christ!" He clutches at his throbbing nose for a moment before drawing back his hand just long enough to see that he wasn't bleeding.

Fiona tackles Carris and they hit the ground, rolling around, looking almost comically like some schoolyard fight.

Taylis wished she was like a normal Yeerk that carried a dracon beam on her. That would mean that all she would need to do was stun Fiona till she could talk some sense in to her.  But other Yeerks in the bar were caring.  She tried to sneak a dracon off the woman (Elayne) that was talking to the crazy man.  She was never good at taking stuff without being noticed though.
