Efaen trots around the hull of a half disintegrated Skrit Na ship and sees an unfamiliar human running at what for him must have been an incredible speed. Another human appears to be slightly behind him, also unfamiliar. Her first instinct is to stop and turn around. "Human" had a tendency to mean "Yeerk" in this place and Efaen had no interest in helping their kind. Of course, Efaen reasons. If I appear amiable to assisting the humans it may allow me favor in Ossanlin's view. That would work to my advantage.

<Do you require assistance?> Efaen asks Illim in open thought-speech, catching up to him with relative ease.

Derrel felt Illim's worry, though he wasn't sure what the panic was about. He heard thought speech, but couldn't turn his head and didn't recognize the voice.

Startled by a second, new voice in his head, Illim frowns and turns around, in accordance with Derrel's wishes. "Who are--?" he blinks in surprise at the Andalite. Still huffing for breath, he murmurs, "Pardon me, just a sec," and trots the rest of the distance to Serid, who is watching him--and Efaen even more--with sleepy interest.

"Serid, don't go in there. The uh... you know, the... alarm system," Illim says lamely, not wanting to overtly give away the fact he's a Yeerk to this seemingly helpful Andalite. Fortunately, the Madra is not a common enough design that they just might be able to pull it off.

"Oh," Serid's eyes fix on Illim and widen, and he nods slowly. "Yes, thank you." He looks towards the ship for a moment before returning his attention to the Yeerk. "Who is your friend?"

Claxter's efforts are fruitless, but do not go unrewarded. The hypogun finally malfunctions. And spits up it's contents.
BZzzzooouu! Ccchhhtttz!

Theta-Pi appeared amidst a mess of small, stray metallic parts. He immediately looked up. His four eyes locked on Claxter.

We resumed a conscious existence exactly 0.0047 seconds aftEr we were reverted from our quantum state. Our head snapped up. We saw the Andalite from previously, and focused our eyes on him. Our sensors did not detect anyone else within the vicinity.

We shifted our stalk-eyes to get a visual of the surrounding area. We then refocused on Claxter-Karmesh-Sinopul.

Karmesh?

We readied our SION claws, and put our other hand on the Quantryon weapon.

<Andalite. You trapped us in the Hypostore gun. There is no mistaking this for an accidental action. You purposely meant to trap us to hinder our repair and assimilation efforts. You will be assimilated.>

We contacted the mini-collective on the Transport. We ordered 10 units to my location.

<Even now our inferiors are on their way to put an end to this...charade we believe is the term the humans use.>, we unholstered our Quantryon emitter and aimed it at one automated shredder. We focused the SION claws, on pulse mode, on the other, <Give yourself to us. Be assimilated, or be eliminated.>

"That's your ship?" Illim inquires with interest, glancing towards where the newcomer gestures.

The thought, however, abruptly triggers panic in the Yeerk. "****!" he curses. "Hang on-- I'll just be-- You can come if..." Without bothering to finish any of his sentences, he darts away in the direction he had last seen Serid go.

The mention of a ship had reminded Illim that the Gleet Biofilter on the Madra is still activated, and if Serid tries to pass through it... It would not end well now that Serid is free. Usually, Illim would not doubt Serid's clear thinking, but the Andalite had been a host for so long and he is now so tired, that he could easily be walking into a death trap.

His worries send him sprinting through the ship yard, kicking up gravel as he runs. He doesn't check to see if the newcomer is following him out of concern or curiosity--or if he is even following at all. <<He can chalk it up to another weirdo at the Bar, I guess,>> he thinks, panting.

"Oh, well. Nice meeting you...."
<<Well at least he didn't shoot us.>>
<<I guess we should be glad then. Odd fellow.>>
<<...I'm not British, so stop talking British.>> Jasper said.
"You know you're annoying right?" Sapttus said.
<<Yep.>>  "So now what?"
"I'm not sure, really. Maybe... we let him handle his business by himself."
<< I guess you're right. He might not like us intruding after all.>>

That said, they turned to walked through the junkyard in a different direction, when an Andalite jumped out of no where. "GAA-AAH!" They both shouted. <<Andalite!!!>> was what Sapttus was trying to say, but fortunately, Jasper was able to clamp down on his vocal chords, causing the garbled exclamation. <<Chill out. It isn't going after us.>> Sapttus felt embarrassed about losing it for a second. <<Good call, Jasper.>> <<Don't worry about it.>> Jasper replied. After the Andalite turned a corner and went out of sight, their body relaxed and they continued making their way to the bar. <<There are so many ships here.>> <<You'd think you'd see more people running around here then.>> He considered picking up a piece of rusted metal, but figured that the New York thug look wouldn't be quite right for someone in his situation.

An andalite dome ship, not unlike the others that frequent the Galaxy's Edge Space Bar, decelerated into the docks; pulling to a slow, uncertain halt as though following a familliar path that had not been tread in quite some time. The ship ground to a stand still, resting with a low hiss as gas was released, re-pressurizing the cabin to conform to the atmosphere of the small asteroid. As the hatch on the ships anterior lowered open, the lights within dimmed as the ship shifted into low power idling mode, revealing a small silhouette standing near door.

The brown hen emerged from the ship, strutting confidently towards the bar, her neck craning as she looked about the docking yard.
The hen stopped just as she approached the bar door, unsure of how to go about opening it from such a vertically challenged position. Surely this seemed to be the strangest dream the young physicist had ever experienced.

Jumping from hyperspace, a rather beat up, old starship descended towards the planet known as The GESB. As the ship entered the atmosphere, the ships hull started to heat up and glow white-hot.

Alarms blaring inside the ****pit, the pilot was trying in vain to control his ship. If someone was to look up, or even outside the only building in sight, all they would see is something that resembled a flaming comet, leaving a billowing black cloud trailing behind it.

Thinking **** it, the pilot smacked his gloved fist on the button marked EJECT. The roof of the ship blowing of and falling to the ground with a resounding thud, the pilot seat launched clear of the falling ship. Reaching the peak of its ascent, the parachute billowed open, allowing a somewhat smooth ride down to the surface.

Seeing that his ship had crashed about half a mile (800 or so metres) behind the bar, the pilot guided the seat as best as he could towards the wreckage. Touching down about a quarter mile (400 or so metres) beside his ship, he unbuckled himself and started to trek towards the wreckage.

((OK, that's it for this post! I still haven't decided on a name or a description for that matter, so if some people could please investigate the crash, that would be great))

<I am Warrior Efaen-Purinial-Loreth,> Efaen says stiffly, eying the human on the ramp with disdain. Now that it is clear there is no imminent danger she feels a bit foolish for running off so quickly. Her stalk eyes trace her path, wondering if Claxter still requires assistance. For the time being, though, she is stuck at the very lest making rudimentary conversation. <And you are?>

Her attention is suddenly drawn from the humans by two nearly simultaneous newcomers. One ship touches down rather ordinarily; the second seems to be having more than a little difficulty. The build-up of atmospheric pressure has lit the failing ship up like a meteor, and it leaves a bright streak across the sky as it soars over the bar. Efaen follows the light with her main eyes.

<This bar tends to breed problems,> she mutters to no one in particular.

<I don't much care what's best for Efaen either,> Terenia says to Mike. <I do care about my own body though.>

"Alright, listen," Terenia says out loud, for both of their benefits. "What do you think is the best option? Should I just...go take the Andalite up on his offer? Or is it worth trying to sway Efaen? She won't be happy with Ossanlin, I know that much. Hell, she's probably already trying to find a way to sabotage him."

<It is true I did it on purpose. I won't allow you to assimilate anyone, and I'm going to free the Andalite you inhabit. Somehow.> He thought he had gotten rid of the drones, but his scanner showed ten coming for the ship. He didn't know if they'd even get past the shield and hull, but he wasn't too concerned. He just made sure his shields were raised.

<I had hoped to inform Prince Ossanlin of this beforehand, but apparently the hyperstore wasn't designed to hold lifeforms for very long. You have been defeated, so you may as well surrender.>

He was starting to wish he had disassembled some of Theta's ship before now, but he'd just have to go with what's at hand.

Temrash felt Morgan was a bit distracted, and knowing he had people waiting on him, he just went ahead and left. "Ok, come on." He told Tayliss. Once he was outside, he needed to decide which way to go first. He needed to tend to Iosse at the repair ship, but the repair ship didn't have a defibrillator.

"So what do you need a defibrillator for, Tayliss?"

Our sensors detected he raised the ships shields.

<Defeat is irrelevant. Surrender is irrelevant. We have not been outflanked. We have not been thwarted. Assimilation will take place sooner than we had originally planned. That is all.>

We pulled the trigger on the Quantryon emitter. Highly unstable, random velocity quantum particles from Z-space poured out the terminal. Quantryons. At approximately 20,000 per cubic nanometer. They would blast through essentially any alloy.

We then fired a pulse of electromagnetically charged Static Ions at the other. Ionic weapons were dangerous to any kind of mechanical parts. Static Ions, with an electromagnetic charge, are immensely useful against even large ships.

The first mounted shredder was destroyed, but as soon as the first shot was fired, the other mounted shredder fired before also being taken out.

<Computer! Raise supression field!> Claxter said has he drew the shredders at his side and started firing at Theta's weapons. If he could disarm the guy, things would improve. The supression field should force him onto the floor if he didn't bolt out of the room immeidately. Claxter had backed away from the door a bit for cover.

Mar nods toward Ossanlin and begins to take the lead out of the forest. "I didn't think he was the sort of person that aimlessly sat either. It's better to confront him then to sit and wait for him to come to us. At least, in this instance. He's predictable, but not nearly as much as my usual opponents. I can assist your ascendence, but I am not sure if I could do so in a few minutes. And that may become a problem if we enter a fight."

Mar closes his eyes and eventually states, "It was..interesting, hearing about how you and Myitt met. ...my relationship with Precious is somewhat different from your own. I have known her for longer than you have chronologically, yet you have known the Yeerk known as Myitt longer. I follow each variation passively, sometimes entering her affairs when I see fit. As far as she can tell, I am a madman with an obsession. This may be true, but the issue deals more with the perception of Time. Though I have begun to think as you do, I still remember a time when I could blink and she would be dead."

"I'm, uh, going," Illim says with a wan smile. "Thanks for the offer of help," he adds to the Andalite as he gives Serid a wave and turns to leave. He has a feeling he knows where this conversation is going, and he'd rather be pretty far away when his former host's species is revealed. Besides, he had abandoned the newcomer several hundred feet away, and keeping him waiting--if, in fact, he was waiting--would be rude, right?

Serid descends from the ramp and takes several steps towards Efaen. "My name is Serid." He clears his throat, debating whether or not he should proceed as he watches the new ships descend. In the end, he decides to take the risk. "Serid-Winwall-Falan." With the absence of a tail to show his Andalite pride, his back straightens and shoulders rotate back. Were he not so dirty- and tired-looking, not to mention in need of a hair comb, he might actually look dignified.

"I need it to free a friend from a being taking over her body," Taylis said.  "She's not a Yeerk or I would have just tried to starve her."
<<A Yeerk you have been easier,>> Amy commented.
"Allegedly she can only leave her host once she's dead.   A defibrillator is the best way I could think of killing her and bringing her back."

"And what happens afterwards?" Temrash said as he started towards the repair ship. The defibrillator plan didn't seem to need to come before tending to a Taxxon's problems. Taxxons being the impatient things they are.

"How will you keep her from returning to her host, or jumping into the nearest body immediately? We will want to think everything through."
