Al said into the communicator, "Alright, transmitting the first one now. It's really just a record of the Z-space signals transmitted by the ship. You might have better luck with the decryption than I have been. It already looks like it might be a complex rotating digital cipher, or something else ridiculous. I'm not great with Yeerk stuff. I'll shoot the second one your way as soon as the transmission's finished and compiled in the system."
The record of the transmission was sent directly to Temrash's computer as Al continued, "At least this is kind of fun, in a twisted sort of way. From what Salem told me, you don't need the code broken if we can just find a way to simulate it, right?"
((No worries, Bear ^_^))
Salem thought for a second before grinning at Jasper. He seemed nervous, which was probably a good sign if he was offering 'secrets.' People rarely offered good ones lightly.
"Walk with me," he said, and turned and began moving towards his ship. He talked as he walked.
"These have got to be secrets that someone would find fairly useful, right? Otherwise you wouldn't consider them valuable. Chances are I can offer something pretty nice for them. Tell me, what do these 'secrets' pertain to, exactly? Or... to whom, I guess I should ask."
As they neared Salem's ship, the ship's ramp slid open, nearly silently, and settled to the ground. Salem came to a stop at the bottom of the ramp and turned to face Jasper.
"And what is it you're hoping to get out of this deal? If what you have is really valuable, I can guarantee I won't short-change you."
