I'm Pyrebird, and a friend of Shenmue directly from meatspace. Herein, I will make a formal introduction to everyone here, not that I expect anyone to actually read this thread!
While slacking off on a final project, I've come here hot on her heels to join in on the insanity at the Galaxy's Edge Space Bar, bother Mar, fool around making new friends, and, uh... bother Mar!
I got interested in Animorphs yeeeears ago in around 4th grade, back when just about everyone and their dog was reading these in school. Yes, back then, dogs went to school, too! I even went ahead and joined the Animorphs Book Club, but my subscription expired after volume 10. I've went back to Animorphs on and off, and read through the Hork-Bajir and Andalite Chronicles, and those funky choose-your-own adventure stories. I also borrowed many titles from the library.
But I never got very far into the series, and so my knowledge is fuzzy and limited. Sure, books cost less than 5 bucks each back then, but the sheer volume of books kinda kept me from going. The rest of my knowledge comes from s-s-s-spoilers! And Shenmue. Thanks, Shenmue (and TVtropes, you bane of time-management)!
I got interested in joining in on the fun at the GESB because it neither required too much knowledge of the ins-and-outs of the series, and I can try to gain said knowledge through the use of an OC, anyways. Expect to see me more at the GESB OOC topic.
