Animorphs MMORPG

In case no one knows what  MMORPG is, it is a Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game


I think its about time there should be an Animorphs MMORPG!!!!

If anyone thinks this idea will suceed, and you want to help, just say so. It will cost money to kepe the servers up, getting the desighns, but I think I can pay for everything!

Here are some of the jobs needed:
 1.designer with one of these software sranging from Blender, Photoshop, 3DSMax, Visual Studio, Sony Vegas etc. to make the designs (in 3d)


2..texturing

3. programmer

4.sound recorder

5. image editor

Or I could manage to download RPG maker, and make a cheesey 3d game that'll get an average   60 players! Whichever you guys want to do, I could even scratch the prodject

Historically I try to avoid MMORPGs...but I think I'd make an exception for the Animorphs.  I'd even be willing to pay a reasonable amount.

I don't care what style of game it is, as long as I have access to it and it's better than the ANimorphs game that was released on the Gameboy Colour...  :mad34: :explode: :barf: :fighting0071:

I HATED THAT ONE!!! I decided not to return it though, think its gonna be worth some big $ someday.

I'm a pretty good texturer, though I currently don't have any 3D software to work with, so someone else would have to do the UV mapping and such.

But yeah, if you give me a UV map, I can make textures.

Though I probably wouldn't be able to play the game unless the programmer is nice and makes it available for Mac (OS 10.4!), too.

It takes A LOT of work to make and maintain an MMORPG, but if you're really serious about this then all I can say is good luck.  If you somehow are able to get a decent looking and working game then I would be happy to donate some money to the cause.

I dont need any donated money, thanks though. I've got all my life savings  (7,345 plus my friend loves animorphs also and he is a designer and programmer.

Well, it would be awesome if you could pull it off.  I would definitely be interested in playing.

Personally I don't think there's enough interest in Animorphs at this point in time to make an MMORPG really successful (in terms of making enough money to offset the costs of keeping it up), but who knows?  If word spreads, people will probably be interested in the idea and want to play.  :)

I would love to help with something like this, I was just remembering how there was a thread about Animorphs RPG at the old RAF.  But I'm no good with programming and such...

I would love to play a game like this..

Here is kind of how I see it..

You can be one of 3 races.

Human- limited strenth, but able to unlock morphing power and different morphs through completion of quests.

Hork-Bajir- much more strength, and some special skills, but no morphing ability. They fight other hork-bajir but these are the free ones.

Andalite- ability to morph, however there is a limited number of animals it can acquire. Most effective in Andalite form anyhow.

Dracon weapons are not able to be used by human players, only npc's.

It is a very basic quest-type game. You do quests and level up, you level up skills such as morphing and fighting. You are on your own at first, but can form "guilds" of animorphs to help fight the yeerks. I am basing much of this off WoW, but this is just my ideas of how it could work.

If you make it, I'd be glad to try it ^_^ But I can't help, except in being a beta-tester.
Only 3 races? So sad! I'd like to be a Yeerk ;)

The humans should be able to use Guns and swords. And add Taxxons and Yeerks.
