well, I don't know if he can, maybe in #47. I'll have to check. however he couldn't in #23 because he used signals to say ok and danger, instead of thought-speaking.

Maybe that was just in case the government were listening in (he'd have stood out a little wearing a tinfoil hat!)  ;D

However, the regular Animorphs can only use it when they are in morph.

Except Tobias, who can do it in Hawk, his base form. And also in his human morph, though I'm not certain if they ever showed him doing so.

Tobias' condition is an anomaly in itself. Nobody has ever gotten their morphing powers back after turning into a Nothlit, so things are bound to be different for him. I'd guess that the reason why he can use thought-speak in his 'natural' hawk form is that it was originally a morph, and because he ended up staying that way, he can always use it like Ax, in an out of morph.

Because of this, Tobias should technically also be able to use thought-speak when he morphs a human, but for some reason K.A never went any further with this. It seems like she changed her mind on a lot of things and had a hard time keeping track of everything (who could blame her?)

Yay! I'm not the only alien in the boards!
I'm not particularly telepathic, but I can predict the moods and actions of people who are near to me. Once I brought my Mum a glass of water before she asked.  :)
The universe is, instant by instant, re-created anew. There is, in truth, no Past, only a memory of the Past. Blink your eyes, and the world you see next did not exist when you closed them. The only appropriate state of the mind is surprise. The only appropriate state of the heart is joy. The sky you see now, you have never seen before. The perfect moment is now. Be glad of it.

You're just one heck of a people person :P!

Ax and Tobias wouldn't use thought-speak in human morph because, well, why would they? They can just say it! Unless, of course, they're being communicated to in thought-speak and can't speak for attracting unwanted attention.
Not caring about what's popular since 2006.

Neat! I would be delighted if you could prove it to me; I want to believe in telepathy but I'm too rational to take your word for it.  Can you read my mind from there?

(Oh, my. He's nearly as persistant as I am! This shall be most amusing, I suspect.  :))

I am quite curious to know just how many people here believe in the possibility of telepathy.
I have seen and heard enough strange happenings to be undecided on the matter.

 >:D

I'm the humanoid embodiment of the mind of a sentient star. There is a thread (Ask Estelore!) for anything you wish to discuss. Let's please get ourselves back on-topic, now. :)

As I was saying earlier, who here does and does not believe in the existence of telepathy?

there are other forms of telepathy such as claravoyance which is seeing beyond linear time and pre/retrocognision which is seeing into the past and future all these things technically count as telepathy

Don't forget clairaudience (hearing beyond) and claircognizance (simply 'knowing' things, without being told or hearing it).
