Let's tentatively call it "hibernating."
The universe is, instant by instant, re-created anew. There is, in truth, no Past, only a memory of the Past. Blink your eyes, and the world you see next did not exist when you closed them. The only appropriate state of the mind is surprise. The only appropriate state of the heart is joy. The sky you see now, you have never seen before. The perfect moment is now. Be glad of it.

Okay y'all, here's the deal...

I really liked this RP, and it's great fun. But.. truth be told, I have no idea what to do with it. This RP is HEAVILY GM-dependent, and since Baron left, I kinda adopted it. But.. all my plans and ideas had been for on-planet stuff until Baron got back, which I don't think is gonna happen now. So... unless I use my GM powers to make the ship not work or something, I'm lost here.

So yeah, that's where we're at. I simply can't handle the GM load anymore, because this RP depends on the GM a lot for plot-line advancement. If someone else wants to pick up the torch and carry on, I'll still be happy to play, just... I can't lead this one anymore.  :-\

Sorry guys, but that's where I'm at. What about y'all?

How about we remove all GM dependence? We've negotiated the issue with the Pemalites, and rationally they should be cool with the characters taking off. From there, any character could describe the process of navigating to our next location.

=/ Yes but then doesn't that logic lead to the connundrum of the story having no definite places to go to? Without a GM or at least a decided conflict in the future, the story will simply collapse. At least.. MOST do, without the aid of a GM. =/ I've seen it happen far too many times.

If everyone decided as a whole on where to go, and hinted at an interesting conflict that would happen in the future, there dosen't have to be a GM... RAF probably works well enough together to just make it work. X3

Here's a nutty proposal, and everybody forgive us please if it sucks, but... Saph, are you interested in being our GM? You could play a new character that we meet along the way, in-game, and you could determine any random new situations that pop up in plot.

We'd offer to GM, but we honestly kinda' hate being the plot-driving-force. We like to play a reactionary game more than an active game. Also, live will be getting incredibly busy starting late August, for us. :-/

I agree with Yavin. They have a good point, and I really would rather be amazed by every new surprise than making them all up. Perhaps soon you could just shuttle us all aboard and pop us into Zero Space back to Earth.

Okay... I guess that all works for me. I can't promise how active I'll be here, considering I leave for college in three weeks, but I'd gladly be a participant.

But.. just one question...

Perhaps soon you could just shuttle us all aboard and pop us into Zero Space back to Earth.
Who is the 'you' you're referring to here? :P

If y'all want to take share of the reigns, then have at it, folks. I can't wait to see what y'all come up with. :)

HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Ok, MY GOD, do I owe everyone in this RP a MASSIVE and most sincere apology!!!
I have SERIOUSLY neglected GM responsibilities for this RPG and I ended up dumping them ALL onto Bear when I wasn't able to maintain my online life or uphold my GM'ing title. Truth be told, I've never had a online life before and this forum is the ONLY one I had ever legitimately dedicated myself too, but it unfortunately became all too easy for me to neglect that life when real-world stresses and wants came to the fore.

To be brutally honest, I'm insanely flattered that there is still a desire to play this RP even if it meant replacing the GM or making a total shift away from GM-dependency. I do agree that without a GM to guide story, the RP does lack a certain direction and that there were certainly place that I wanted to take this plot. In the time that I've been gone I have actually been GM'ing a D20 game at a friend gf's apartment and have learnt some new things about loose plot structure and how the ENTIRE story can be changed by one good roll. It also taught me that GodHanding the game and it's rolls sacrifice the fun and possibilities.

If everyone is behind Saph taking up GM'ing duties, I am 100% behind that (should Saph be okay with that, also). I do also feel that I seriously underestimated the duties of a GM when I started this RPG, which certainly wasn't fair to you guys, considering how much you seemed to enjoy it. I do feel much better prepared now to take on these responsibilities, however, should you guys want me as GM.

I will warn in advance however... I am in the middle of working full-time and taking on a second part-time night job. There are always difficulties with RP'ing in-forum due to when people get online, but I'm hoping (tentatively) that we can meet those challenges and difficulties as we come to them. Hell, even if Saph does want to undertake GM'ing duties, I am all for rejoining the RPG with you guys to get this ball rolling again!

Let me know what you guys want to do in regards to this! (An idea occurs to me... Perhaps we should also employ a "Highest roll dictates turn order" thing, as in I get 4, Bear gets 12, Bear has his turn followed by mine, to solve the problem of mass-post-days. Yes, it will slow down post-speed, but let me know what you all think!)

But yes... PM your friends, tell you family... Baron is back!

As much fun as this RP was for it's time, even if it picks back up again, I can't rejoin. I'm way too busy with college to say I can make that time commitment, when there's no way I can. Sorry folks.

1. Saph already declined to GM.

2. Bear, do you want us to kill off or NPC or vanish-conveniently your character?

3. Baron, if you're up to GM, we three would love to see you return. :)

Bear: I'm real sorry to hear that, man, but I completely understand. If you're okay with it, I'd like to NPC Marty. He's pretty crucial.

Saph: If you're keen to join, I can open up a character slot for you?

Este: I feel ready to come back and GM. Finger's crossed, because I really enjoyed GM'ing this and hated having to leave it for so long.
