((If you roll well in Luck and your attempted attack, then I have no problem with you landing the attack. If you swing for the stomach and get a 9, you hit their stomach hard. Similarly, if you have a Kelbrid swinging two blades at you and get a 9, like Shaun did, you can escape either their hold or taking any damage. Shaun handled it quite well; The blade sunk into one arm, but he was able to throw off his attacker. If you land a fatal blow, then I'll write up their death scene, but as I said, if you make the roll, you connect the blow/get the kill.))
The Kelbrid flew back as Shaun threw it off, landing on its' back and quickly rolling to its' feet with an agility that deceived its' size. The Kelbrid looked at Shaun, curiously, before speaking.
"Fiiiight meee. Won un woooon." It say's mimicking his speech.
With that, the Kelbrid leaps at Shaun again, arching downward with its' blade held high, aiming for Shaun's skull.
It's at this point that I leap forward, trying to aid the Pemalites while Kage remains frozen in confusion. I swing my left wrist blade upwards at the things throat while driving my right elbow blade towards the right side of its' abdomen. My wrist blade, just as with the Pemalite's claws, finds no purchase on the slick substance coating the Kelbrid's hide, however my elbow blade makes a direct blow with its' abdomen, sinking deep into its' side while the creature screeches in pain.
The Kelbrid rips the knife from the stomach of Ehruf, spraying the walls with blood and gore while the wounded Pemalite collapes to the ground, Ayrow only barely catching him in time. <Take it...> Ehruf says, weakly. <We need... To get it back...>
Spinning to face me, the Kelbrid swings its' knife, still soaked in blue Pemalite blood, plunging it just beneath my collar bone. The second knife swings high and catches my head blades.
Jim continues trying to morph as quickly as he can manage. Oh, god, Shaun is gonna die if he takes that thing on alone! Hurry up!!! he screams in his own mind, the last of his fur and muscles forming and growing, his Polar Bear morph nearly complete.
