Nah, nothing past formal introductions, etc. But they are all very excited about the re-release over there. I wouldn't be surprised if they were fans of the books as well.
i can't believe they took out the cover quote, the inside cover, and the "flip the pages and watch it morph" things. I loved those things
It's not a deal breaker, imo. What would be the fun of owning the exact same thing twice? I like that there are differences between the two editions now, both in look and content. It gives me a reason to own both versions, as well to fans who already own the entire series (like me).
Also, I find that the lenticular covers are really well done. I was afraid they'd turn out like those cheap dvd covers or something, but the transition morphing feels fluid on these covers, so overall I'm very satisfied.
