Our Summer Vacation...

"Just make sure you don't fall off, Tarry," he cautioned. Chad moved to see how it felt. Tarry had a good grip on him. He didn't want to know what it felt like if Tarry took off into the air holding onto his hair...that would hurt.

<I hate to say it, but.... let's go ahead and go.> Sean then leaps off the table and goes dashing towards the zoo. He then stops, and scurries back. <Man, this guy wants to go! Chad, how are you getting in again?> Sean continued dashing ahead and coming back to the group as he lead them towards the closed zoo.

Brian took just a second to remember where he'd seen this kid before.... 'Oh yeah! We had Bio-lab together last year, right? I remember you now. I was looking for my little brother, but I'm sure he's around here somewhere. Oh, he's over there." Brian said. Ben was over in the corner playing a video game with three other kids his age. "How long have you been coming here?" he asked Shaun, trying to make small talk. Just then, however, the man came over and introduced himself to Brian. For the briefest second, he felt suspicious. He had simply walked over and asked for his name. But it was nothing for him to worry about. He held out his hand and said, "Hi Mr. Roger. I'm Brian. Nice to meet you."

One of the controllers that heard Brian's story came over to Jazar.  "Someone that was on the same trip as Jo is here."
Jazar smiled.  "Good to know since he's here we might as well if he is willing to join this fine organization."

I looked at Brian and gave him a weird look like this guy is creppy. I hoped that he got the hint.

"Maybe I could just climb over the fence..." Chad mused. "It isn't too high, I think."

Joel noticed the weird look on the kids faces but ignored them. I apologize for being so abrupt Brian." He chuckles a little bit then says: "My daughter always tells me not to do that. Anyways it's nice meeting you Brian and whomever you are. You should try some bar-b-que before you leave. It's really good." Joel goes back to the grill and grabs another hot dog.

<Sure. That's fine. Just don't get snagged on the barbed wire at the top. Don't worry. There shouldn't be too much of it. Let's go, guys!> He dashes off again, and stops to pick up something. <Yay! It's a nut!>


Shaun seemed disturbed by the guy. Brian figured it was because of his blunt introduction and question. But, Brian was pretty sure he wasn't a kidnapper or ax murderer, so... "Thanks. The Barbecue is good, and..." he says to the man's retreating backside. What a strange guy.... he thinks. He turns to Shaun again. "Well that was interesting. So, how long have you been here again?"

Jazar came closer to the boy that had been pointed out to him so he could listen to his conversation.


"I'll need ears and eyes,"  Jo said.  "I like those things."  She began to morph squirrel.  The first change was her spine elongating to a long fuzzy tail.  There was itching in her mouth as the teeth transformed to those that could gnaw through nut shells.  Then she started shirking, she looked like a small human with a bushy tail and over sized teeth.  Her eyes and ears started to moved to their new places as fur began to cover her body.  As her arms became shorter Jo prepared her self for the hyperactive mind Sean and Olivia had shown her.

The mind was on the hungry side at the moment.  Ooo, nuts!  She dashed off close to be close to Sean who was standing under a nut tree.  More nuts!  She picked one up for herself.

"Whoa, whoa," Chad said, frowning. He picked up both Sean and Jo, and looked around. Nobody had better see him. He held the two of them. "Get a grip of yourselves...come on, let's go."

Predator!  Jo jumped out of Chad's hand.  <Wait Chad?>  she was in control.  <Sorry about that.>

Sean wriggled free of his son's giant hands. How weird is that? he thinks. <Come on, guys, don't be so slow!> It was rather fun running with Jo as a squirrel. It was exciting. Within five minutes they had reached the fence, and within six minutes, Sean was up and over, waiting on the other side. <Wow! That was fast!> he says.

"Good grief..." Chad mumbled to himself as he went running after two squirrels. When they reached the fence, he looked at it critically before scrambling across. He arrived rather okay. Chad paused for a breath..."Okay, now...let's get going!"

<Do they have a section for Canadian animals?> Jo asked.

<What?>

<The Yeerks know who I am,> Jo reasoned.  <I want them to know me when they see me.>

<Um... we'll have to check. I haven't been to the zoo since Chad was nine.> Sean said. He'd pulled the nut out of the pouch of his cheek and was now busy gnawing on it.

Chad rolled his eyes and picked up his Dad again. "Concentrate a little more, please? And you do know you can demorph...we're safe now." He set him down and then said, "How about we go for all major morphs..like, the stuff we'd use if we were fighting? Big animals? Bears, cats, those sort of stuff."
