"Yeah..." Chad mumbled. They finally reached the lake. "Go and do your stuff...I don't think I want one of those."

((oops... Sean must have hit his head on the sign...))

"Are you sure, Chad? I mean, it's not like we've got a limit." he clambers over the short fence around the pond habitat. "Here, let me help you..." Sean says to Jo. He looks over the pond... many of the birds are making noises at the intruder, but they weren't too loud yet. "Is that one over there?" he says, pointing to a large brown bird with a black neck. That'll be fun to catch...

"Nah, I drove here. Mom might be confused if I came home without my car." Brian said with a smile. He went over to the refreshment table for some chips and a drink. It was after eight already... he was considering taking Ben home early so that he could catch up with the others at the zoo.

"Ok that's cool well i guess i'll see you at school then"
Marco: Now do you see why it's crazy to think we can beat the Yeerks? I mean, come on: We can barely beat zoo security.

Tobias: (now stuck as a hawk) They'll come. The Andalites will come. And until then...
Jake: (nods and wipes tears) Yeah. Until then, we fight.

Jo follows Mr. Black over the fence.  "Maybe we should have had a bird catching morph before doing this."

"Well, we gotta start somewhere..." Sean says. "All we have to do is touch it, and once we begin acquiring it, it'll stay calm." I hope... "It can't fly away, since it's wings are clipped." Sean stood up straight with a look of concern on his face. "That won't be a problem, will it?"

As i got in my car i started thinking about that guy who tried to talk to Brian. "Why did he talk to Brian and nobody else?" I wondered out loud. I got in my car and decided I'd wait for either the guy to leave or for Brian to leave i need to know whats so important about them.

Jazar went to the refreshment table to talk to Brain.  "Are you Brain?"

Brian looks at the man addressing him. "...yes, I'm Brian. I don't think we've met yet." He said, extending his hand. He had a slightly puzzled look on his face. Everyone seems interested in me tonight...

Rather than waiting for an answer, Sean walked around the pond, acting as if he belonged there, and snuck up behind the large bird. He tried to jump on top of the goose after it had turned it's attention away, but it hadn't exactly worked. Meaning, the bird flapped away across the pond. It wasn't deep, and a 'wild goose chase' ensued. Eventually, he managed to catch the animal by holding it's wings against its body. The bird went passively into a trance. "Jo! I got it!"

"I'm Merlin," Jazar said to Brain while shaking his hand.  "Josefina's stepbrother.  She told me about you."

Jo would not have gotten near the bird if it wasn't already tranced.  She knew first hand that these birds could get nasty.  As she touched the goose another hand joined hers.

"If it flies I want in," Olivia said.

"Ya sure you don't want in on this one, Chad? It's awfully big. And we already caught it...." The other birds were squawking loudly. He sure hoped there wasn't a night guard nearby....

Brian stops, but only momentarily. Small world, he thought. "I hope she said good things about me if that's the case. What a coincidence meeting you here... this is my first time. I came with my little brother. Does Jo ever come to the Sharing?" He asked. He figured he had enough time left for another round of small talk.

"Jo never joined the Sharing," he said.  "I'm so glad you could come though.  I just taking a quick break from looking for Jo.  Have you seen her?"

Concern washed over Brian's face. "She's missing?" He had no idea what was up, but he was pretty sure that it had something to do with their secret new lives. What should he tell this guy? Did he even know where Jo had been this afternoon? He wasn't sure if he needed to be suspicious of this guy but he knew he had to help keep this under wraps. The coffee shop meeting needed to be secret. "No! I have no idea where she is. I haven't seen her since we left the school parking lot yesterday. How long has she been gone?" Oh, man.... he thought. Maybe she had just gone morph-happy, and was out enjoying herself... but that didn't seem right. Or maybe she'd been in danger.....

"Since this afternoon," he said.  "I'm trying to find as many of her friends to help look.  No one has seen her since she left the coffee shop."  He looked at Brian carefully to see if there was any reaction from him.

"Argh..." Chad growled. "What the heck...." He strode over and touched it, and it stopped thrashing. "That was easy. Now, if you'll excuse me, I know what else I'm going after." He left to go towards the Birds of the World area. Through the bars in one area he could see a red-tailed hawk, who appeared to be asleep. Chad skimmed through what was written about it, even though there was little light. He stretched inside as far as he could, grunting. He couldn't quite reach it...just a little further....aha! He touched it, and the bird shifted over. "Drat!" Fortunately, with a lot more stretching, Chad managed to touch the tip of its foot. He focused on it immediately, but when he removed his hand, the bird suddenly jolted out if its trance and let out a cry. Chad jumped back, then shook his head. At least he was done here...
((I hope that's okay..))

((Perfect... let the harvest begin. (that sounds like some creepy movie line...) ))

After the four of them were done in the duck pond, Sean hopped back over the fence, dripping wet. He saw Chad half into the aviary.. Clever. He thought.

"Lets all stay together guys, or at least in groups.... Chad, how about you and Jo stick together? I'll stay with Olivia. We need to be careful guys.. there could be a night guard here." ((I hope you're cool with this set up...)) Sean and Olivia walked off in the other direction of Chad and Jo, counter-clockwise around the zoo. They came by the Children's Zoo, and nearly passed it. Sean looked inside, and saw the animal signs. "Hey look.... Otters. Maybe we could nab one of those? We're already wet as it is..." with a sigh, Sean scrambled over the high wall to the Otter pool, and splashed under the water.. it was only deep in this spot. The little slick creatures scurried away at first, but then an inquisitive one edged closer. He held out a hand, already thinking only about the aquatic mammal. Now he only needed it to touch him.... It's nose touched his skin, and that was enough. He held onto the rest of the otter as he finished acquiring it, and look out of the glass at Olivia.

After they finished playing in the water agian, they crossed the children's zoo. There were deer there. They were in a stable of sorts, shut inside for the night. It was relatively easy for him to stick his hand , though they were extremely skittish and tried to get away. He grabbed a chunk of salt from the floor of the exhibit, and held it in his hand. When it licked his palm, he thought this was way too easy.

"Sure, I'll help" he said, ever so careful to avoid mentioning the coffee shop. He knew she'd been there. That wasn't a good sign... He sure hoped that he hadn't shown any surprise in his expression at that. While dealing with his mind going a mile a minute trying to figure this out, he wasn't totally sure how good of a performance he had put on. "Was it the coffee shop by the Tom Thumbs, or was it the one at the mall? Is there a search tonight, or what?" Brain was getting very nervous. The clock was getting closer to the time for them to leave. Yet it was going so slow....
