Our Summer Vacation...

Jo ducked behind a picnic table to keep from being seen.  "I should have stayed in morph.  No, Tarry, parrots don't eat squirrels.  Maybe I should morph roach again, I mean, you would need to guide me because they have the worst eyes ever, but I know how to control it.  Miriam used straws drink coffee without getting stains on her teeth."

Chad jumped when Tarry landed on his hand and walked up to his shoulder. He blinked once or twice. Tarry didn't weigh much, but he was still surprised. Chad smiled. "You sure seem like a pet now...I wonder where Kristen is..." he mused.

Brian was really digging this place, a whole lot more than he'd thought. He'd loved scouting, but most of his friends there had stopped going or moved after reaching Eagle. As much as it embarrassed him to say, he didn't go to scouts too often, because there wasn't much for him to do now. He'd said he was busy just so they wouldn't try sucking him in. But Alex and the others he met didn't really care. They were cool just hangin' with Brian while he was there.

"So, y'all go on skiing trips? That must cost a lot..." Brian asked.
"Not really. See, we've got several adult members who sponsor our trips. We have a lot of adults in the Sharing, too. They come for the company, too, but also for the business networking and stuff like that. If we need any extra money on top of that, we do car washes and stuff." Alex started laughing a little, then started holding her gut, laughing harder.
"What?"
"I'm just remembering the last Car Wash we did.... Oh, good times......" She continued laughing, and eventually stopped. "People come here just to hang out, so it's always a blast doing anything here. You should come with us next weekend! We're going to the beach for a back to school party!"
"Actually, I just got back from the beach..." Brian told her about the cruise he'd just gone on. Leaving out the important parts, of course. Alex sounded interested, and really listened, asking questions and all that. He looked at the clock. Wow, I've been here a whole hour? He looked for Benjamin... where was he?

He was much better at restraining the excited squirrel mindset now. He did, however, continue running back and forth across the table. The squirrel didn't like sitting still. <Kristen suggested we get some large bird morphs, which would be smart. And we need some fire power, too. It's been ages since I've been here.... We'll have to shop around first. Hey Tarry, is there a limit on the number of morphs we can acquire?>

Shaun looked around to see if there was anybody that he could try to talk to, he spotted a kid from his school here looking for somebody. He decided that he would go talk to him since they were in a few classes together too.

"Hey i'm Shaun, who are you looking for?"

Jazar debated whether or not to go to the meeting of the Sharing that night.  I'll look around and tell people to look out for Jo and Olivia.  Then I'll go home and study.

You can only remain in morph for a limited amount of time...as all of you know.>

Joel finished his food and saw lots of activity. He looked around and asked Fred camely and in a low voice: "Who isn't one of us?" "Not many. Maybe a dozen at most." "Good. Call Jasmine and get her down here. Make sure she has a change of clothes as usual and that she brings a junky car." "Ok."

Fred pretends to go to the bathroom and calls Jasmine who answers the phone saying: "Hello. This is Joel's office. How may I help you?" "Hello Dogma3492. Come to the Sharing. Joel wants you. Bring a change of clothes and a crummy car." "Finally." They both hung up the phone and Fred flushed a toilet and washed his hands. He leaves and tells Joel. "Good. I found someone who I think I'll go talk to." He gave a smirk.

Joel walked over to a table with a few people and started talking: "Hello. I'm sorry to bother you but I was looking at you from over that table over there." He pointed to the table. "And you remind me of my nephew when he was younger. May I have your name please? My names Roger by the way." He was talking to Brian.

Jazar walked in to the meeting.  He look around to see who was there.

At Tarrade's comment, Sean whistled... or tried to at least. It came out as a chittery sound. He tried again in thought-speak <*whistle sound* Then I say we get as many as we can in there. Obviously, we don't need three hawks each, but some variety would be good. And I don't think we'll have to worry about Yeerks at the zoo... It's not like they need a source for acquiring morphs.> In response to Olivia (((Olivia is purple, right?))): <Brian said he might not be able to make it, so we won't wait for him. If he shows up, he knows to meet us inside. Y'know, I guess Kristen would know where to find us too. She had the keys, but I'm sure small critters like us could find a way in to the exhibits...>

"Unless you're a roach," Jo said.  "You've freaked me out about squirrels now."

"Says the person that was all giddy chasing me around."

Chad sighed at Tarry's boasting, but let it go. "If we're done talking about people who aren't going to make it, can we get going?" Impatience crept into his voice. "But one thing--no roach morphs for me. Nuh-uh."

Jo sighed.  "I don't like that morph either.  I had to hide from the Yeerks some how though so I acquired the roach."

"You what?" Chad said. He wrinkled his nose. "I don't envy you...there's no way I'm gonna touch a ****roach. Unless I really have to..." he yawned. "I'm hungry.."

Tarry gave sigh, was he, a great Andalite prince really supposed to fight with simple children,< We do not want to limit our selves to a particular form because of it's looks. On the Andalite world, such refusal would be seen as a sign of cowardice, is it not so among humans?> Tarry let out another convincing sqwak and walked to stand on top of Chad's head.

"You really can't see or hear in that morph," Jo said.  "It is still the freakiest thing I've ever done."
